76 The Process (pt. 3)

Never in my life did I think I would feel more out of tune with myself than I did in that moment. Twins, I understood. My cousins were twins. My dad had the twin gene. Triplets? Not so much. Who put the third baby in there? 

I was staring at doctor Sanderson as he explained the written lifestyle plan he had for first time mothers bearing multiples. I understood that he was explaining something important, but frankly I wasn't listening. It was like my brain went into shock. Nothing was being processed.
