88 The Deed (pt. 3)

"Hugo, I'm leaving now," it wasn't exactly time to clock out yet, but by the time it came around, who would miss me? Besides, I had very pressing business to take care of at home. Nikolas was gone, the days urgencies had been taken care of, and I was absolutely free to walk out of the building for the day.

"Very well, ma'am, have a good evening," Hugo smiled at me from his desk and quickly returned to typing on his computer. I never knew what he was doing, honestly, but I didn't question it either. Hugo was a trustworthy young man who knew what he was doing more than I did.

"You too!" I waved at him as I stepped onto the elevator, and practically bounced in place as the lift began to descend. I was nervous; rightfully so. Not only was I about to unload a bomb on my husband, but I would be unloading three of them.

Maybe it was weird for everyone in the building to see my megawatt smile, but despite my nerves, I was excited, mostly to finally start a family.
