"So? What do you think?" I swirled my glass of wine tentatively, taking in the pale yellow tint of it under the low lighting of the restaurant. The place was more of a throwback in time than a modern eatery, with the ceiling and electric work looking like it came straight out of the early nineteen thirties, complete with yellowed lightbulbs and vintage instrumentals softly in the background. "Should we do it?"
Jason looked at me from over the rim of his glass, a fleeting gaze that struck the inner chords of all my chakras. "I still can't decide on whether it's a good idea or not. I mean, it sounds good, and it looks good in theory, and it probably looks good on paper, but is it still a good idea?"
He had a point. I also had my reservations, but I didn't want my decision to be influenced by anything I'd heard of Rafael so far. There was no need to bring personal thought into it. If he was willing to do business, then we would do business, as per usual.
