The Confrontation

It was Saturday… a day I usually spent by laying in bed filled with post-orgasmic bliss and arms around me. Today, though, I spent it by practicing my prenatal yoga in the morning, and playing in the backyard with Lieutenant Colonel Sparkplug in the evening.

I hadn't seen Jason all day, which naturally made me assume that he wasn't home. That was fine considering that I didn't want to see him. I was no longer feeling embarrassed by letting him fool me, but the anger inside was still very much present.

Even though I wasn't completely sure what to do about him, or how to go about acting around him, I still had a certainty of what I wanted the outcome of this new chapter in my life to be.

"Fetch!" I threw the little bouncy ball towards a side of the backyard, smiling as I watched Lieutenant Colonel Sparkplug chase after the ball energetically. He found the ball and took a minute to pounce on it before he began to roll it back my way. He was so adorable.
