89 The Alpha Plan

The next day, I managed to exit the house without alerting Jason of my movements. The man was probably still sleeping when I went down to the kitchen to tend to the puppy and feed myself. Good. The last thing I needed was to see his face when I was still reeling from the prior day's events. It was despicable how much I had let it get to me. I allowed myself ten minutes to mourn my lost love, and the rest of the night was filled with anger. Safe to say, I was not in the mood to see either of the culprits anytime soon.

Walking back into the office did help to distract me from my current household dilemma, but it didn't last very long because seeing Delilah's face in the board room first thing as soon as the members showed up for the meeting I called quickly put a damper on my professional spirits.
