Tears Of No Other

Nesryn laid down on the bed. The couple finally back from their week-long trip in Bali, though they had to cut it short since 'Nesryn have to rest at home', Azriel's words, she tried protesting though saying she was fine and could use the scenic view to relax but the over-protective man was not having it and got their luggage packed and took her and her doctors back to the plane.

When Astraea heard the news, she immediately got out of the company, informing Attendant Yun first before disappearing in a black car. Once the car stopped at the porch of the mansion, the butler and maids present bowed their head in greeting.

Astraea flashed them a quick smile before asking the butler to lead her to where Nesryn was.

The man walked up the flight of stairs, took several turns, then stopped in front of a double white and gold door. He knocked and they both heard a faint 'come in', the man opened the door and stepped in "The Grandmistress is here Madam" before stepping out of the way and widening the gap of the door.

Nesryn sat up, swinging her legs to the side and tucking her feet to a pair of soft slippers, before pushing herself up. Holding on to one of the bed pillars for support when her vision started spinning.

Astraea went into the room, focusing her eyes on the woman in the room. Her usual glare softened upon seeing her weak figure, she walked over and was able to steady her up, when she grabbed the pillar of the bed.

"Oh my poor granddaughter, come now, go back to bed" she said softly pushing her right back down, taking off the slippers and lifting her legs to the bed.

"Azriel told me what happened. Now, I want you to rest and get stronger," she said, tucking her inside the thick blankets and brushing stray hair away from her face "Speaking of which, where is that grandson of mine? His girlfriend is sick on the bed and he's nowhere to be found" she turned her gaze to the butler, questioning him using her eyes.

"I was only getting her food grandma" Azriel mumbled, coming into the room with a tray in his hands. Astraea stood up and let her grandson place the tray on Nesryn's lap, she flashed him a weak smile.

"Maxon said, he'll be coming over to check on you around 3 pm, so after eating get some sleep" he said, taking a seat by her side.

Azriel took her hand and placed a kiss on the knuckles "Eat up then drink your medicine so you can rest" with one last chaste kiss on her hand, he let her go and watched as she started putting food in her mouth. While she was eating, Azriel talked with his grandmother about the company while she grilled him about Nesryn's condition.

Their bickering continued back and forth, finally Astraea seemed to be satisfied enough from his answers that she stopped asking him questions and just continued relaying information about the company.

They talked in hushed whispers to not bother Nesryn who finally fell asleep. Astraea's eyes wandered over to her sleeping figure and Azriel saw his grandmother's eyes soften.

"Make sure she gets all the treatment she needs Azriel, I want to see her married to you someday" she said to her grandson, not even giving him a glance. Azriel smiled and nodded, "I will grandma, you were right about her from the start, now is really the time for me to be good and finally settle down,"

"That's right, only she could discipline you from the start" she retorted and Azriel chuckled with a nod. They had a talk till the butler came in, informing the two of them that Maxon had arrived. Azriel instructed the man to lead the doctor to the room, now being slowly converted to Nesryn's medical room.

Azriel walked over by Nesryn's side and gently shook her awake, but before he could do so, the door opened revealing two figures. Maxon and Aspen both walked over "Nice to see you Maxon, you too Aspen" the smaller man, flashed him his million-dollar smile and Azriel just ruffled his hair, making him pout.

"Don't wake her, she needs plenty of rest as much as possible because her therapy will become much more frequent this coming months" Maxon said, putting his bag down on the nightstand, while Aspen helped him out of his jacket. Azriel stood up and sat on the sidelines with his grandmother to give them space to work with.

Both grandmother and grandson sat by the side with both eyes watching Nesryn like a hawk. Nesryn's sapphire colored eyes revealed itself in the middle of the check-up, Maxon helped her sit up while Aspen checked her heartbeat through his stethoscope.

"How are you feeling?" Maxon asked, sitting by the side of the bed as Aspen wrote things down on a leather-bound journal, that almost looked like the books in Azriel's library.

Nesryn flashed him a smile "I am fine, feeling great actually after that nap" she giggled, which took the breath out of Azriel's lungs.

"That's good to hear, now that your therapy will be much more frequent than the last, I suggest you get all the rest you need. No strenuous activities, I am looking at you Azriel" Maxon smirked at the flushed face of Nesryn and the annoyed scowl on his friends face, Aspen couldn't stop himself and bursted out laughing, clutching his stomach.

"Once this room is turned into a clinic, you'll be receiving your therapy here so Azriel you can stop paying that hospital. Then, once you're officially transferred to our care, you'll be seeing us almost everyday, though we still do have patients to look at in our own hospitals, but one of us will always be around to check on you. Azriel clearly stated that you'll be our first priority."

Nesryn looked at Azriel and he just mouthed three words that was more than enough for her to blush red like a tomato.

"The machine, that you said she will need, have been purchased and will be shipped by next week, hopefully nothing happens while it's being shipped" Maxon and Aspen nodded. "Then contact us when it's here so we can set it up properly, like how we're used to in the hospital"

Azriel nodded and called over the butler via the intercom "Yes master?" said the man, bowing his head slightly "Prepare tea and snacks in the pavilion" Astraea said, standing up with the help of Azriel.

"Let's go outside so Nesryn could walk around" she said smiling. Maxon nodded and Aspen helped Nesryn out of the bed. "Fresh air would be good for her," Aspen said with a smile from his cute face.

Astraea removed herself from Azriel and pushed him towards Nesryn's direction, the man walked over to his lover and Aspen gladly gave her to him. Azriel snaked his arm around her waist and placed a kiss on her forehead. Astraea led Maxon and Aspen out of the room first, leaving the two alone.

Nesryn clutched Azriel's shirt as she buried her head on the crook of his neck. Azriel was confused for a second, before his eyes widened upon feeling hot tears flowing from his neck "Baby? Baby, what's wrong?" he whispered to her ear, running his hand on her back "Nesryn, baby, talk to me please" he pleaded.

"I am fine, I just realized how lucky I am to have you in my life, to have met you and work for you while I was still able to, and to be my last love" she whispered to his ear.

Right then and there, Azriel's world came crashing down. He knew what her words meant, he knew the meaning behind those sweet words, were pain she's currently feeling.

"No, no, no, Nesryn, you're not leaving me, our promise remember? We'll be together for a long time, get married, have kids and watch our kids have their kids. That's our promise to each other right? We'll get through this baby, I promised you." Azriel said, his arms trembling as he tightened his arms around her waist. Afraid that she'll vanish if he even loosened his hold.

"It hurts Azriel" she whispered, her voice breaking. Azriel took in a deep breath, tears pooling at the corner of his eyes. He pulled her tighter, their bodies completely touching as he tried his best to be her support both physically and mentally.

"You're going to get better Nesryn, you're going to fight this and I'll always be by your side, no matter what happens we will cross this hurdle together" he pulled back a little before crashing his lips on hers.

He pulled back a couple seconds after but before Nesryn could say anything, she felt his warm lips on her forehead "a promise to share my worries to you" he whispered before moving to her eyes, she closed her eyes and he kissed it.

"a promise to never let you shed any more tears while your with me" he then moved on to her cheeks "to always make you blush", he kissed her ear next "a promise that you'll only hear the truth and no lies between us"

"Azriel" Nesryn whispered but she was silenced when he kissed her lips again "a promise that this is the only lips I will kiss in my lifetime from now on" Nesryn watched as he slowly took her left hand and placed a kiss on her ring finger "a promise of both engagement and wedding symbolizing my commitment to you" he let her hand go.

Azriel slowly descended to his knees and wrapped his arms around her waist before lifting her shirt and kissing her stomach "and a promise to build a happy family with you" Nesryn sobbed into her hand, before she helped Azriel up and kissed him deeply.

Wrapping her arms around the back of his neck, pulling her closer, as she tiptoed to reach the man. Azriel lifted her up and her legs instantly wrapped around his torso and they continued kissing.

They both pulled back, breathing heavily. Nesryn touched his forehead with hers "I promise to fight as long as my body can, I promise to stay by your side till the end" she whispered, pecking his lips with hers. Azriel smiled and hugged her tight "I love you so much," Nesryn smiled "I love you too".

Silence filled the room for a couple of minutes before Nesryn tapped Azriel, a sign to let her down but the long-haired man didn't do it, instead tightening his hold on her further. He walked into the garden where the pavilion stood, three figures chatting merrily.

He walked on the stone path leading to the pavilion, with a protesting Nesryn on his arm, demanding to be put down.

"It's nice of you to finally join us" Astraea said, sipping her tea. Azriel flashed his grandmother a cheeky smile before putting Nesryn down on the chair, serving her a fresh hot cup of jasmine tea and a couple of vanilla soft cookies.

Aspen started his conversation with Nesryn while the others conversed about business, surprisingly Maxon was not just a doctor but a businessman as well.

Laughter filled the beautiful garden that lasted till the sun started setting and casting it's warm orange glow on the lake behind the mansion. Both Maxon and Aspen said their goodbye's and left after the sun disappeared. Nesryn, Azriel and Astraea ate dinner before Azriel's grandmother said her farewell.

The next day, Azriel pulled up at the company, dressed in his usual suit, minus the coat, and the tie. A simple yet elegant look on the handsome man, the guard opened his door and he handed the keys to his driver, who was waiting for him by the door. He went to the passenger side and opened the door, reaching his hand out.

Employees present stopped what they were doing and watched the scene before them, even those who were walking towards the entrance stopped and waited. Azriel smiled when a hand was placed on his. A leg came out of the car, showing off a blue, 3 inches high platform heels.

Then she came out, a woman dressed in a plain white dress, blue and gold belt around her waist, hair placed in a braided bun, with a blue diamond hair ornament. Employees watched as their boss closed the door behind her and offered her his arm. The woman was hesitant and Azriel took the initiative, took her hand and slid it on his arm.

The moment the woman turned around and the whole lobby were filled with gasps. Who wouldn't be surprised? The woman they haven't seen for almost a whole month now, came back and in the arms of their president.

Every eyes followed the two as they walked in the building, Nesryn's heels echoing loudly at the silent lobby.

The pair boarded the elevator without any other words, they got off at the top floor. Every employee on the floor stood up and bowed their head in greeting. Nesryn took this chance to remove her arm from his and slowly walked away to her office.

Thankfully, Attendant Yun came at the right time, distracting the man from the now missing person beside him.

Some of the people in the room noticed though and took that as a sign to get back to their work. Nesryn took out a box from underneath her desk and put all her things inside it, she also cleaned up the desk and arranged the files "Nesryn!" her snapped up, almost giving herself a whiplash from how fast she turned her head.

Her vision became blurry and she reached out to the wall behind her to stabilize herself. Her ears were ringing and the only things she could feel was a pair of strong arms behind her and slowly guiding her to the chair, she took a couple of deep breaths. Once she regained her vision she glared at the man on her side.

Azriel grinned sheepishly before leaning over and kissing her forehead "I am sorry, I was just scared when I didn't see you back there" Nesryn shook her head with a small smile on her face. Luckily, only Attendant Yun was present during that entire scene.

"Attendant Yun, join us in my office, I need to speak with you," Azriel said, before taking Nesryn inside the said office and lead her to the sofa, where he placed a pillow behind her to make her comfortable, before sitting on the space by her right.

The long-haired man gestured for him to sit down across the sofa in front of them.

"As you might have seen, Nesryn will be quitting her job because of her health, and with this I am now left with no secretary and since you've done her job before, I am now appointing you as my temporary secretary, just till someone she found someone suited to take her place. Though I doubt someone can compare to her at all" he muttered the last sentence.

Nesryn pinched his side and he let out a yelp, startling the man in front of them, Azriel turned to Nesryn and smiled cheekily. "That's it for today, thank you Mr. Yun" the man stood up and bowed before taking his leave.

Once the door closes, Azriel leaned in and gave her a peck on the lips "I love you" he whispered and Nesryn smiled "Let me serve you for the last time Sir Azriel" she said, standing up, face and stand quickly snapping back to her professional side.

Azriel let out a sigh and stood up, flashed her a sad smile before going to his desk "What do I have for today?" Nesryn took out her iPad from her bag then started scrolling.

She walked over and ascended the stairs, stopping right in front of his desk.

"A board meeting at 10 am, An interview for 'Ikla' magazine at 1pm, a business meeting with one of the entertainment companies asking for sponsorship for their film at 3pm, and 7pm dinner meeting with Mr. Jinwoo from Korea for the partnership to finalize the details of the brand new product"

Nesryn finished everything without stopping, she looked up and smiled at Azriel, the man let out a sigh "I just came back and this is the amount of things I needed to do," he grumbled under his breath, before lifting his head and smiling. "Alright, thank you. Go sit down and rest" he took a folder from one of the big piles on his desk, put on his reading glasses and started working on the files.

"No need sir, I'll be outside doing work" without any other words, she bowed her head and left the office, Azriel followed her move by the window as she disappeared from sight. With a sad smile, he shook his head "No one will compare to you in my heart Nesryn, both personal and professional side of us".
