31: Cornered Dirty Prey
As their discussion came to settle, Sabrina saw ICE preparing for something which subconsciously she went behind and hugged her. ICE was not surprised as she could already feel what Sabrina was feeling.
"Don't worry. I will make sure things work." ICE smiled as she assured her lady. Sabrina tried her best not to get worried but she can't hide it. She's been away from her for too long and it will be too much painful if she loses her lover.
"Sab, you're my home and wherever you are, I will surely be there to follow." She continued to ease the worry that was building inside Sabrina's chest.
"Alright. Just makes this work and is done. Come back home to me, okay?" Sabrina sounded like a pleading lady but she knew what ICE should do for the sake of their family's legacy.
"I will. Always will." ICE smiled and kissed Sabrina's forehead then left that night.
Sabrina watched her back vanish behind the main door of the old mansion before sighing. Her uncle pats her shoulder before smiling assuringly.
"Uncle, prepare the car tomorrow. I'll go to the hotel early there." Sabrina just said to her uncle with her usual cold voice causing him to flinch a little.
"But are you going there alone?" Earl asked worriedly because their prey this time was not any prey since Marlon Marlow had some connections with mafias.
"No, ICE will come with me and I am sure of that." She smiled but half sad and her uncle understood it.
"Alright, if you say so but be careful. You're my only niece." Sabrina smiled as her uncles said those words.
"I will. Take care." She said and went to her bedroom. She knew that when the sun breaks the night sky tomorrow, it will be another meeting with that annoying man.
Just like what Sabrina predicted, she began to feel annoyed when noon came on knocking in the hotel. Marlon Marlow was there to have a lunch meeting with her at the hotel's restaurant. They talk some business but it was not enough to make Sabrina fall for his proposal. She declined it again and leave their meeting.
"Can I not have any meetings with him anymore?" Sabrina frustratedly sighed as soon as she entered her office.
"Well, you can but to capture him red-handed you have to play the game, my love." ICE chuckled as soon as she heard the whining voice of her lover.
"Not helping. So what you've got so far?" she pouted but changed the subject.
"Well, don't worry anymore, I already got it covered. Nobody in the mafia will back him up." ICE handed Sabrina a record that will put him in jail for the rest of his life.
"And how sure you are?" she still wondered while watching the records from every CCTV footage that was around throughout his illegal transaction that the police didn't manage to get.
"I have my own connections there and they can't say no to me when I asked something from them." ICE winked in her direction causing her to sigh in relief.
"You never failed to surprise me." Sabrina admitted while smirking about what ICE was capable of doing.
"Yet, I wonder how you will take my bloody secret when you heard them." ICE looked deeply into Sabrina's orbs when speaking of it seriously.
"I will take it for sure. I might need some time to process it but I will definitely not gonna leave you alone again. You'll be stuck with me for a lifetime." Sabrina winked assuringly at ICE whose heart fluttered with hope.
"I'll take that to heart." ICE kissed Sabrina's lips before she went back to being her personal bodyguard and watching their prey secretly through her phone.
"You should. And we should finish this already. I don't want to take much more of our time with him. It's very annoying." Sabrina said and expressed her annoyance causing ICE to chuckle on the couch.
"Don't worry, everything was set last night. I'm just waiting for a wrong button to be pressed by him and things will go against him." ICE grimly smirked causing Sabrina to shiver differently. She felt darkness and bloody death when ICE smirked like that. She could not shake the terror from sensing that from her but at the same time, she knew that ICE was only like that whenever she was protecting something that mattered to her.
Sabrina snapped from it and let it slide for the time being. She just focused on her workload that kept popping up since she arrived at the hotel this morning. She was glued to her office and only moved around whenever she needed a short stretch or walk. But after that, she was back at her desk, doing her workload. So a busy day for her.
"Ma'am, excuse me, Sir Marlow needs to speak with you about something." Sabrina sighed when her secretary came on knocking on the door and speak about her annoyance once again - Marlon Marlow.
"If it was not important, then sent him away." Sabrina sighed upon hearing that man's name again and ICE chuckled over her lady's irritated reaction.
"He said it was about his proposal." her secretary said causing Sabrina to sigh and waved her hand to let him in.
"Fine, let him in." she said before she halted what she doing and fixed her table so he won't be prying on them later on.
Letting the prey inside once again, Sabrina was about to say something when Marlon quickly went to her side and was about to force himself on Sabrina. Gladly her personal bodyguard appeared and pushed him away from getting close to her lady.
"You're just a bodyguard." Marlon was getting pissed over ICE's presence around Sabrina. And ICE definitely knew what was running inside his prevented mind causing ICE to turn much closer than any winter storm.
"A dirty man like has no right to touch my lady's body or any part of her belongings including all of her hotel businesses." ICE coldly told Marlon who shivered from hearing that voice. It was inflicting fear that he never felt to anyone before.
"It's not up to you to decide." He tried to sound tough but ICE could hear the fear beneath them. A sensitive hearing from a vampire took credit from it.
"Well, are you willing to pull the trigger of your death bed, Mr. Marlon Marlow? The son of the Marlow Empire - wait, that came out wrong, you're the one who made the fall of your own empire. Your family abandoned you because of it and now you're running a very dirty business and waltzing around the underground kingdom which was a very wrong move that you ever did." ICE coldly informed him about his past which has been hidden carefully and nobody knows it.
"W-what are you talking about?! How did you get that information?!" he started to lose composure and panic was echoing through his tone. ICE likes that reaction very much.
"Well, I have my ways. They are plenty of it and getting rid of you in the equation will pay a lot of contribution to the underground community, don't you think" ICE answered as she handed secretly to Sabrina a remote button only to be pressed when needed. It was an emergency security button that she put around at each Marques hotel but not high enough like what DEMar Hotel had.
"What are you saying?" he was getting confused about the information that ICE has been holding ever since they found it.
"Don't worry we're the only ones remaining in the hotel since I already evacuated them and locked us up here." ICE said signalizing Sabrina to press the security button making everyone in the hotel to be safely evacuated the hotel spotless. It also calls the police department right on time.
"WHAT?!" Marlon exclaimed as fear, panic, and anger were all mixing up in his reaction.
"If you really a clever person, won't be coming back twice a day here. Everyone knows your face and the mafias you thought will be your backup then you're completely an idiot. You did nothing for them to repay you -" ICE was still pressing his button to lose more composure and it did the trick.
"I GIVE THEM MONEY, GUNS, AND WEAPONS THAT THEY'VE BEEN WISHING TO HAVE! I EVEN SELL WOMEN TO PLEASURE THEM AND MEN TO EXPAND THEIR TERRITORIES' SECURITY! OF COURSE, THEY WILL BACK ME UP!" Marlon shouted in anger as he was feeling confident about what he had done for the mafias that he had a transaction. He was really a fool.
"You are really a fool." ICE chuckled coldly causing him to flinched in wonder.
"You think they will just send their man to a low man like you when they don't even like you in the first place? They don't see any potential in you. You just steal money to buy illegal firearms to resell them in exchange for drugs. Now, you also add human trafficking…very nice illegal doings but not clever to clean up tracks. That's why they don't like you. You're too many loopholes and you won't get away from it any longer." She explained briefly what was really going to go and that the help that he was needing won't be there anymore.
"YOU ARE LYING." he feared.
"We're surrounded." ICE said coldly causing him to quiver as the fear that she inflict was already crawling beneath his skin.
"THEN I WILL KILL YOU BOTH. RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW" Marlon point the small gun that he managed to sneak inside the hotel's security. ICE already knows about the gun's real owner. She could smell it and it was one of the security around the hotel.
"You think you can hurt us? Carefully, think, and just surrender. All of your crimes might be pardoned in a couple of years, maybe? Just surrender." ICE smirked beneath her full mask and taunted him to surrender.
