A bit suspicious

After the incident with the bulky kid, Xander and Alvin went with to the medical bay and thankfully he had regain consciousness and he was back to his cheerful self.

"What happened to go you guys", kelvin asked them with concern in his voice.

"Oh, uhm it was just a little incident with someone", Alvin said and stammering a little, maybe it was because he felt really powerless or that he still felt a little bit chilly since he was turned into an ice sculpture by the boy a few minutes ago.

"Who was that kid anyways", kelvin asked and there was a bit of anger in his voice.

Kelvin felt like going out to fight whoever caused the problem with his friends, but he was still feeling pains in his foot and it was far worse than before.

Usually when a person was healed by a healer, they wouldn't feel pain but somehow he was still feeling pains and he could only guess that it was some kind of ability.

"We didn't actually get his name", Xander said in a bit of a casual voice as if he was used to it which be was.

"Anyway we brought you lunch", Alvin said when he noticed that that the floor was shaking a little, and it could only be from Kelvin's earth ability.

"Thanks bro", kelvin said and they soon started eating.

After an hour or so of talking with one another, a nurse came and told kelvin that he was free to go.

And they soon found out that the black vest was the shortest yet hardest class, but Xander still had some questions he needed answers to.

And after saying good bye to his two friends, Xander went to the place where they had their training and found sir Bartholomew training himself.

But his training was a little different, and rather than the him walking bare footed he wore his shoes.

But that wasn't the impressive part, he had two barbell on each of his hands and he was walking on the wooden board without making the slightest sound.

It really was impressive and if he was blind and he walked into the room, he wouldn't be able to know if there was anyone else in the room.

"Xander, what brings you here", he asked Xander in a polite tone.

Xander froze for some time before he finally answered him, and as for the reason he froze was because sir Bartholomew kept referring to him as " boy", during the training section.

'But maybe it was an ability' he thought. But it couldn't be an ability since sir Bartholomew would have called him by his name from the beginning.

And his only other guess was that he was told by his homeroom teacher.

"Good morning sir", Xander greeted him, it has long became a habit for him to show respect to people by greeting them, especially those that were older than him.

"I was wondering why did you keep those students there during, our training section", Xander asked as he pointed towards the door at the far end of the room which was currently empty now.

Sir Bartholomew face changed into a serious expression, but it quickly softened as he began to answer Xander's question.

"Those kids, that were locked in there, tried to fight me. And as you know it is against the academy's rules for a student to raise his or her hand against a teacher", he answered Xander.

And the boy paused for a second before another question was fired at the teacher.

"But were they all so bloody, their injuries seemed far worse than that which was given to me and my friends", Xander asked him like a detective who was seeking answers from a suspect.

After that question sir Bartholomew, walked forward and dropped the barbells on the concrete floor.

"It is my job to do it, regardless of how much they scream in pain", as he said those words Xander noticed that sir Bartholomew eyes glittered, as if there was a flash of light in his eyes. But the man blinked and it all disappeared.

Nevertheless Xander still had one more question he wanted to ask before he left.

"Sir if I may ask where are the students", and as those words left his lips, he imagined them being killed. And as if the man in front of him read his mind he spoke.

"The students are not dead...", he paused for a moment before he replied.

"But I cannot tell you where they are", he said and Xander was forced to nod. And just as he was about to leave the room sir Bartholomew fired his own question.

"How did you even know about all of this", he asked and Xander could almost feel his heart fly up to his mouth.
