SECRETS IN ZHAO

* Genji's POV

Two days later, I finally arrived in Zhao. The place was indeed paradise. Even commoners were able to afford gold and sliver to out on their dresses. Since it was already near nightfall, I decide to stay at the nearest in the capital with the imperial guards Chaoxing sent with me. The inn keeper talks to Chuntao while I wait with the soldiers. After they are done, Chuntao comes to tell me the price of a room.

"What! Why is it so expensive?" I asked standing up in shock.

Unlike the other five states, Zhao used silver coins. Gold coins were of a higher currency then gold bars. Although the inn was indeed above average, was it really worth two gold bars?

Lieutenant Wen comes to meet me suggesting we find another inn but looking back at the imperial guards, I see them looking tired and their clothes looking dirty. The past two days have been very hectic. As their empress, I should help them.
