Elias Godspeed part 2

After bidding Aiden farewell, I wandered into the entertainment district, and let me tell you, it was a treasure trove of distractions. It's the kind of place that makes a young guy like me feel like a kid in a candy store. They had everything a tech enthusiast could ask for: Gamestation XXII, YBOX 986, and even virtual reality gear that looked straight out of a sci-fi flick.

Then there were those...ahem...sections that raised a brow. Let's just say they were catering to some unconventional tastes. I swiftly navigated away from that part, keeping my curiosity in check.

Stuffing my bags with all the gadgets I could afford, I strolled back to my dormitory. On the way, I glimpsed Aiden with a small, wolf-like creature. It must be his familiar.

"Good for him," I thought, shrugging it off. I had my own interests to indulge in.

The next day dawned bright and clear, and I found myself in the Elemental Mastery course, sitting next to Kara. Our professor, the eccentric Professor Thompson, was a character straight out of a sitcom. With his flamboyant Hawaiian shirt and energetic demeanor, he defied every stereotype of a stuffy academic.

"Hello, budding elementalists!" he boomed, arms flung wide as if trying to embrace the entire universe. "Today, we're diving deep into the heart of the elements! Get ready to be amazed!"

I exchanged an amused grin with Kara, who was barely containing her laughter. This was definitely not the kind of lecture I had imagined.

As Professor Thompson launched into his lecture with a fervor that matched a rock concert, I found myself surprisingly engrossed. Maybe it was his infectious enthusiasm, or maybe it was just the novelty of witnessing a middle-aged man perform like a teenager at a music festival.

In the middle of his animated explanation, I leaned towards Kara and whispered, "Did you hear about Aiden?"

Kara's blue eyes sparkled with interest. "Aiden?"

I nodded. "Yeah. Apparently, he's somehow ended up in the Manaforge Engineering course."

Kara's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Wait, what? Aiden in engineering? Seriously?"

I chuckled. "Believe it or not, it's true. Rumor has it that Professor Gillian Matt had something to do with it."

Kara burst into laughter, trying to keep it down. "You're kidding, right? Professor Matt? That quirky guy?"

"No joke," I assured her, smiling. "Seems like Professor Matt convinced Aiden that engineering was his calling."

Kara shook her head in disbelief. "Wow, this is a twist no one saw coming."

While Professor Thompson continued his enthusiastic lecture, I couldn't help but ponder about the many sides of Aiden. It was a reminder that everyone had hidden facets, and Aiden was certainly proving to be more complex than he first appeared.
