Five Days Before
Five days before the fateful events at the palace, Prince Cedric, the ruler of Brizia, stood atop the battlements of the border city's fortress, deep in conversation with Seraphina, the powerful 5th Kosmos mage. They peered out at the horizon, discussing the recent suspicious movements from the Capatians since their new king had been crowned.
"The Capatians have been testing our defenses," Cedric said, his eyes narrowing in concern. "It's only a matter of time before they make a move."
Seraphina nodded, her hair glinting in the sunlight. "Indeed, Your Highness. I sense that something ominous is brewing across the border."
Cedric's brow furrowed. "We cannot afford to ignore this. Send a spy to investigate their movements. We need to know what they're planning."
Seraphina immediately gave the order, and a skilled scout was dispatched to gather intelligence on the Capatian forces.
