Museum and Pyramids V

Jade and Angela finally had their turn to ride their own camels. Angela squeals in excitement as she feels like she's on top of the world.

She sure can see more at this height. She turns to Jade with elation.

"Jade! This is the most wonderful experience I've ever had! Like who would imagine us being here in Egypt and riding camels?!"

Jade who is adjusting her seat nodded and can't help but be amazed again by the attractive surroundings.

They all passed so many gorgeous landscapes, if it wasn't so hot and humid out they would've probably enjoyed it more.

But Jade barely remembers where they came from, it feels like they've ridden for miles already and all she sees now is the wide expanse of the desert with no land in sight.

She's relieved that she has her purse on. She has all the essentials that she might need just in case they get stuck on these never ending sand filled land.

"Are we there yet?" Angela asked, looking bored out of her own mind.

"Probably not too long now. We've been riding for at least an hour now, maybe another twenty minutes or so," Jade explained.

"I'm getting hungry though," Angela whines.

"I made us sandwiches before we left the dorm. You should have one in your bag, eat that for now until we reach our destination," Jade said as she pointed to Angela's cross-body bag.

Angela looked down and with delight took out the sandwich and immediately devoured the whole thing.

"Jade, I honestly don't know what I would do without you! I didn't even think of bringing any food with me! I thought we would see restaurants here!" Angela said exaggeratedly with both cheeks bloated with food.

Jade stared wide-eyed at her friend as she couldn't believe what she's hearing right now. She looked around her and then back to her friend again.

"What made you think there would be restaurants in the middle of nowhere?!" Jade asked aghast.

"I-It's the twenty-first century! Who would not have restaurants anywhere? Right?!" Angela asked back, trying to defend herself, although her face was blushing red.

"What do you mean, we're in the middle of nowhere?!" Jade said finally had enough of her friend's craziness.

Jade exhales rather deeply and focuses on their route.

Speechless, Angela only stares at Jade. It seems like the cat got her tongue.

She just got scolded, did she? Yup she did alright.

Angela thought as she cried in silence. The world is against her right now.

After another mile the group is finally nearing the site. Jade squints her eyes as she can see the outline of the ancient building from where she's at.

"We're finally here huh?" she murmurs.

Jade can see the shadow and the shape of one of the most famous man made landmarks ever made in the ancient world up until now to the present time.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

One the oldest and the largest pyramid ever built in the world. The pyramid itself is four hundred fifty five feet in length, and at least over two thousand per square feet. Making the pyramid the tallest structure in back in the ancient times.

The pyramid was thought to have been constructed to house the deceased pharaohs who once ruled over Ancient Egypt.

Although, it's mostly empty now. But the complex history and background of the great pyramid will continue to shape and mold not only the present but also the future of the architecture world.

"Oh my lord, this is one beautiful pyramid!" Angela exclaimed as she laid eyes on the structure.

Not only her but the people around them are completely mesmerized by the sheer beauty and elegance of the pyramid.

Jade then can hear the tour guide giving them instructions on what to do once they are in the site, and also giving them the history lesson about the pyramid.

At this point Jade completely forgot about all the ill feelings she had felt throughout the day. She is now completely spellbound to this place.

And at long last she finally has a sense of peace. And she savors it all.

After traveling for ten more minutes they have finally reached the great pyramid. And it looks more stunning now that it's in front of them.

"Are we finally going inside?" Angela asks as she finds people going in at the entrance.

"Yes, it seems like it," Jade said with a small smile while adjusting her sunhat, she can't help but feel excited.

Eventually, the tour guide helped dismount them then led the pair inside The Great Pyramid of Giza.

The group has to enter this small stone entrance. It is so small and tight that they all have to stay in line. Jade can literally spread both her arms and she would be able to touch both walls on each side.

But something has been strange since they arrived at the pyramid. She hasn't seen the other groups that came with them, and also why aren't they going at the entrance where everybody goes?!

This is not the entrance the website mentioned to go to..

Jade looked at the tour guide who was at the front leading them. And she looked back behind her and there's at least seven people in her group including Angela.

And if she's not mistaken there are four groups in total, but where did the other three go?!

Jade turned to Angela with a serious look, she nudged her friend to get closer. Angela leaned towards Jade, curious on what her friend wanted.

"There's something not right here," Jade whispers to her ear.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Angela whispered back.

"This is not the right entrance. When I was looking at the website it definitely said on the west part of the pyramid and there should be more people at the building, instead it's just us."

Jade said, motioning to their group who was occupied by the surroundings, completely enamored and very much unaware of what's going on.

As Jade is watching the man guiding them at the narrow-like cave she can't help but feel danger and suspicions toward the man.

"Excuse me," Jade said after she had enough.

The man who is probably in his late 30's looked back and stared right at Jade.

Jade's eyes went wide with shock, the man who was supposed to be their tour guide has this huge scar that came from his forehead and ran down across his face, immediately disfiguring the man.

The fact that his scar is that big, the wound must have been deep when it first happened. She winced at the thought of it.

'Did he have this earlier? How come I don't remember?'

"Uhm, I'm just wondering why are we on this side of the pyramid? I noticed that we are separated from the other groups as well," Jade said with caution, this man is not just a regular man.

He looks like he went through hell and back based on his stance and figure.

"W'rry not madam. F'r this is a might not but. A queen needeth to cometh backeth to h'r landeth" the man said with weird language, even his tone changed.

"What? Are you speaking English?" Jade said, confused.

The man stared back at her and smiled.

"No worries, we are just going a different route. Everyone is waiting for us there." he then turned back toward the deeper end of the pyramid.

"You hear that Jade? We are special! We are secluded and might be in a private area! He's definitely taken by me." Angela said with dreamy eyes.

"Did you not see him, his scar? Or heard the gibberish things he said?" Jade asked astounded.

"Girl, what do you mean? I don't see any scar on him and he talks fine to me with his heavy Egyptian accent! He's not too bad looking either. Maybe I'll ask for his number after and—-

Jade turned off Angela's ramblings and once again stared at the man's back.

'Is she finally going insane?'

*Don't worry, madam. For this is a must. A queen needs to come back to her land.
