We are at disadvantage

After the meeting ended I went towards my team room and told them about the discussion that took place and told them to wake me up at 4:30 so that I can join the practice the practice.

It was now 5 in the evening ,I was in the practice room we had only two hours for practice . Richard was our captain as he was older and had an amazing ability of leadership ,none of us have any objections either .

Richard was telling us what we should do and the signs we will use during the games and handed out some printouts . He told us to take some time and see for ourselves ,so we did .

After a few moments we all were trying to play against eachother one on one as practice and warm up . I was put up against Jack , he seemed to be happy for this for some reason .

The match started the ball was in mid air Jack jumped but I didn't as I just look at him and then taking the control of the ball he went towards the basket for shooting ,I didn't move from my position as I was just seeing him ,he made a basket and looked in my direction as saying I'm better.

And then shouted " Hey! Do you even know how to play or playing with NBA players was just a bluff to stay in team ,huh?" .

I just smiled and said in a calm voice " I was seeing just how much I have to hold back so that you can keep up with me ".

Merinda and Sunny started laughing at this but Richard stopped them and told me in a calm voice " Sam don't hold back I need to know what you can do " .

I replied " Ok".

Jack was seeing all this with a expression of frustration on his face.

The ball was tossed in the air again Jack jumped to reach it but this time I also jumped and grab the ball before he can and landed few steps ahead and started running before he can even turn back I did the basket. His face was wide open at what happened ,the match was over with a score of 10-2 , my win for sure.

Just like this we all five had matches and then we tried the signals for the match everything went smoothly and then our time was finished . We started heading out and others started coming in . I went towards my team room as I wanted to take a shower after practice and eat some food . My team was not present there , neither I look for them .

I was in shower as I thought " Isn't it is going too smoothly? Max is not in condition to play after competing with me ,there must be someone who she will put up against tomorrow, well whatever will come I will take it ".

I came out of the shower and went towards the cafeteria ,my team was there discussing something . I picked up some food and went towards them.

" You see him ,he gave a very chilling vines didn't he ? " Tom said .

" Yeah ,he looks like he wasn't from here and had a pure athletic body" Karl said .

" We will see him tomorrow ,if he is really that awesome as you say " Jenny said frowning .

" He made a basket by using only his index finger ,what a bluff " Alexa said .

I was able to listen there conservation .

As I sat on the table near Tom ,he tried to take me on his side in discussion" Hey Sam tell her ,it is possible to make a basket just by using your index finger after rotating it your hand " .

" What ? " I said .

" He is just dreaming nothing more " Alexa said .

" You all will see him tomorrow " Tom said folding his both hands on his chest.

" Okay let's meet this awesome player tomorrow" I said and started having my dinner .

It was morning the matches began at 8:40 in the morning ,three matches will be held together on different courts . My match was after the first three matches so I was sitting with my basketball team without saying any word.

From my position I was just focusing on one match as others weren't so exciting but this one was , ten minutes had passed but none of the team had made a point until now as there offense as well as defence was having a furious battle . As the break of five minutes was going to be over soon a black coloured boy came in and sat on one of the bench of the team playing match I was seeing ,the players were relaxed somehow after seeing him ..

As the five minutes was over the match started , as it started it was obvious who was going to win the team of that black boy who had just entered and change the whole flow of game ,the opposite team started defending more hardly but it was all in vain that's was when I saw him and realized we are dommed for sure .

After seeing him playing only two words left my mouth " Holy shit " . The sound was enough to be heard by my team , Richard looked in my direction and saw my expression which was of shock and fear for the first time .

He shook my shoulder and made me came back to reality and asked me " Why you look so feared?".

" We can't win " I replied.

This shocked everyone sitting there .

Richard asked me " Why?".

I replied " He is on z..z.zo...zone "

The colour of Richard's face turned pale as he looked at the same player I was watching and face palmed himself .
