"What?" Ellly covered her face, tears falling down her eyes again.

Linda patted the girl's back again and again, trying to console the poor girl.

The magistrate then turned to look at Linda." Do you have anything to say regarding this point?"

"Yes your honour! Indeed, my client was beaten by her husband so brutally that there are marks all over on her body! These are the pictures of the marks, along with a doctor's report, which clearly mentions that these are the marks of somebody's hands!"

The magistrate looked at the pictures carefully and read the report of the doctor. Ashley who was standing in one corner, shivered in fear.

The magistrate then turned towards Austin. "The defendant's statement?"

"Your honour, the reports claim that the marks are of somebody's hands, but whose hands, it is not mentioned at all. All I want to say is that, these marks are self inflicted by Miss Elly on herself and to prove this I want to call Elly's Psychiatrist, Dr. Mathews, here in the court."

Elly was now in fits of crying. She could not even bear to hear any more, what Austin was speaking about her. Even Linda was now looking disgustingly at the man, but Austin did not care at all. When ever his work was concerned, he did not care about anybody and for today, he wanted to defeat Linda as she was the opposing lawyer for him. He did not even care about her!
