~Book Teaser~

"Where did you find that?" I point to the small book on the desk.

"Your Locker." The teacher smirks

"Mr. Flores, I am going to warn you one more time, don't bring these fowl books to school! I don't want you to embarrass yourself anymore than you already have." The teacher exasperated. She lifts the book of the table and holds it in her hands.

"Well shit I'm screwed" I mutter under my breath, looking around her desk to see if she found any of my other personal belongings.

The book I had brought in was a novel titled 'Hidden realities'. I've been reading it since I was a child. I received it for Christmas many years ago, and it hasn't left my side since. I believe this is my 12th time reading it. It was filled with many documentations of paranormal encounters and mythical lands beyond the normal human society. Apparently, my teachers find this book inappropriate. With my luck, they probably flipped right to the succubus and incubus pages.

"Okay Mrs. Johnson, I won't " I lie, Painting my face with a remorseful look. I reach for the book in her hand and tuck it securely under my arm. I reach for the handle and twist it, and head right for my Locker...
