Richard and his boys made to leave the lounge again but, this time, they took to caution, being aware of the danger that might await them on the outside, as Jenny had alerted Philip in spite of restraints from Richard to prevent her from reaching for the zapper.

Philip and other cops must be on their way now, they thought, and they must vacate the building as fast as they could. Richard had Jenny draped on his shoulder still, as he managed to contain her constant violent agitations with his heavy arm clasped around her to hold her down

Jenny had no such interest in returning to the Dohertys' cartel, but it was expedient for Richard to clear his track in the wake of this scheme by getting her back to the cartel lest she was captured by the cops and made to confess their strategies and the identity of their patron. That would not only spell doom for Tega's political career, it would also wreak havoc on the Dohertys' cartel as a whole.
