He felt it was late even though was his week off of Fuuglap and he didn't know what he wanted to do. He did however want to find out what his gift was and because he was of Pignus house he would pray to their deity in hope of being blessed. To his dismay, when he spoke the gods name another voice came into his mind. "Boy, Boy what are you doing?" A deep and distorted voice demanded of Xin, he jumped up out of his praying position "WHAT THE FUCK MAN!!" He yelled and and looked around at his surrounds a good couple times his heart beat his chest begging to be let out. "I should be the one asking you that." The voice returned again "How did you get in my house!?" Xin questioned the voice. "Boy i did not get in I've been here with you the entire time." again the voice answered. " What?! What does that even mean?" Xin said out-loud and then to himself "Okay on a serious note I'm in your head." The voice said with sudden ease in casualty " oh my god im a schitzo-" Xin was interrupted "Dont even finished that halfassed thought because you're not, unfortunately, and I'm here to stay. you being the last of our kind ya know?" The deeper voice became less and less distorted the more Xin tried to listened. He choked, "what do you mean last of our kind!?! There are millions of Pignus everywhere!!" Xin exclaimed. "Child, you are not of Numina blood!" the voice rung in his head. "AAGH!" Xin exclaimed, his nose bled just a little. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT!?!" He Screamed out-loud. "Hmmmm this isn't going to work young warrior." the voice said before a couple of long strands of Xin's thick hair fell onto his finger and wrapped around his middle finger like a ring. It burned.

Xin jumped up from the pain. It was hot and it spread, from his finger to his palm, to his whole hand and the rest of his fingers. Then its spread to his chest and down to his waist and his lower back, no! lower and further than his lower back. It spread to his feet and then it shot right back up to the top of his skull and filled his head like air filling and empty balloon. He looked up at the roof and counted the light and then he looked down suddenly he was looking at a familiar black wall covered in familiar cloths and sheets. Why was he in bed? what lead him here he didn't remember what happened but one second he was downstairs and now he's... in his room. He sat upright and yawned as he stretched out and he felt himself wack something then he caught off from his night stand, He then turned to look at what he dropped.

Xin's mom got off of work around four hours ago and was laying in bed asleep when she heard something. Something that could only be one thing, it was something she hadn't heard in a long time. It was the sound of her baby screaming, calling for his mother.

He had to only finish his call one time before his mom was at the door, she knocked, in tired voice he said "Please come in mom" she looked at the doorknob and waited wondering wtf could be on the other side of the door. "Its not bad mom, I promise" she swung open the door " baby? you okay?" she asked quickly "No mom I'm not hurt I have this. She watched as the young man turned around to reveal a long tail, covered in thick curly coarse hair. "Oh son are you.." she paused and lifted herself up "Buddy, there's nothing wrong with having special interests but this is-" Xin quickly cut her off " MOM! MOM! no! nono I'm not... into that mom, I grew this overnight and I-I don't know how... do you?" he hastily got out. Now she didn't know what to do because Xin never lies and he hates pranks "son of a bitch" she thought to herself. "well maybe its part of your gift-" he interrupted her again "Mom, gifts don't alter the users physical form permanently." she smacked back of his neck "BOY IF YOU DON'T LET ME-A SPEAK!" she shouted at the anxious teen. "You are also adopted my boy, no one knows where you are from, your blood tests were inconclusive, baby I..." she sighed before she continued. "I Don't Know How To Help You." She said clear and said it with shame but with confidence behind the honesty. "okay mom thank you I'm gonna try and see if I can channel anything" he smiled softly at his mom before she walked out of his room barely closing the door behind her . "tch mom" he laughed as he thought to himself before her waved two fingers to the right and a short, black, tendril appeared and closed the door the rest of the way.

He turned his light off and sat in bed... "Wait..." He thought to himself "WAIT A GOD DAMN SECOND!" He stood to attention as he yelled out loud. He stood there, shocked expression, wondering how he managed to channel that so naturally. He thought about how he felt; he felt like he imagined the feeling of touching the door and imagined pushing it with a regular amount of force and it happened. For some reason in the dark he felt almost like he was charged, imagine waking up after getting the perfect amount of sleep and the kitchen's clean. Unfortunately the feeling would be replaced with confusion and fear when you realize you didnt clean the kitchen last night and you live alone, that was similar to how Xin felt because he didnt know why but he felt great. This feeling was unfamiliar yet comforting, like a warm hug in a winter storm from a stranger. "Alright lets try something" he said quietly to himself, He put his right hand up and clenched his fist. He then put his first two fingers up and thought about channelling something to the tip of his fingers and when he did swirl of dark, pulsing energy shaped into a little marble like vaccum. "HOLY SHIIIIIT holyshitholyshotholyshit Hoooolllyyyyy sheeeeeeeeeeeet" he thought to himself "Alright lets see what we can do" He moved his finger gun shaped hand down and moved the black marble slowly across the room. It moved wherever he wanted it to but it was easier if he aimed with his fingers, he brought it back close to himself and started to poke and squish it. he then made a connection to it by thing about it and turned it into a little replica of a male person with no specific characteristics. "perfect" a familiar voice rung inside of Xin's mind, Xin didn't even have time before something jumped out of his ear and into the head of the dark mass he had just created.

It wasn't too long before the thing started to move around and then it grew a mouth two eyes. "Not bad kid" said the anonymous mass, "I don't know what it is about you Monarchs, but for some reason the first thing you guys make is life, which works out for us but still." a deep voice that came from the all-black doll. "god dammit! so you are real..." Xin said out-loud, the possessed doll laughed and spoke again "Yeah, sorry kid, I am real" The voice wasn't all that deep now that it was in the physical world. He was clear, he gave sound of confidence yet he gave off a tone that indicated there was something there, something that sat on his chest and choked his heart. "Well, would you look at you..." The Doll said as he paced the top of Xin's shadewood nightstand, "you really are the child of a Monarch... and pretty big one at that." The Doll added as he stopped and stared at the messy-haired young adult that stood in-front of him. "what? a Monarch? what is a Monarch and how am I related to them?!" Xin demanded from The Doll,

The Doll stood there for a minute studying the boy's features then decided to look at him. He addressed him and the questions "Well in short you are a long-lost warrior race that original tried to cultivate this realm for the revival of your now extinct race and all of its culture is now spread across the far reaches of existence. I am your guardian advisor here to aid your growth and teach you all that I have gathered in the many generations I have witnessed" The Doll replied flatly. Xin turned, he turned to the wall, then back to The Doll, then back to the wall, he did this cycle three times before taking a deep breath. "Okay, million-dollar-question?" Xin looked at the black mass of a doll, The Doll looked up at the boys hopeful eyes, he felt his heart clench when he realized what the question was, "No my boy... your parents are long dead" The Doll said with some ease in his tone to try and put the boy down slowly. "Ah... well damn that's tough" Xin said with little compassion, almost as if it was more of a relief than anything.

"Are you not sad?" The Doll tilted his head in confusion, "Well I mean, I am disappointed I can't meet them and at least have some sort of relationship, but I was too young to remember anything about them and as far as I know, I only have one person to call Family and she is sleeping down that hall" Xin replied casually while pointing at the wall to his right. "You've got solid nerves boy, but as I have said, you are a warrior race that has been lost to the realms for generations and I think it is best to train your birthright to its fullest abilities and turn this new age into age of 'The Great Monarch'..." The Doll said in an thematic voice ending his speech by crossing his left over his right and putting his hands up. There was a an awkward pause of silence from the two of them before The Doll spoke again "Do you know how long I spent practicing that child?" The doll said before standing normal again. " I was stuck in an empty void for..." The Doll stopped "What year is it?" it demand the answer from Xin "3034, why? how long were you in that void?" "Hmmm, when was the last time you rode a CloudSquatter boy?" The Doll responded with his own question which, on its own confused the hell out of Xin. "no... the last Cloudsquatter ever seen was around 3,000 years ago and even before then they were considered rare-" Xin exclaimed before he was interrupted "what do you mean before then?" The Doll put his hand up "Well we as a civilization didn't start dating our history up until the first War" Xin paused and rested his chin on his palm as he sat down "There's about 200,000 years of uncatalogued history that is currently considered common knowledge, it is taught in households and in schools." Xin sighed.

CloudSquatter: A giant, bird like creature with long and colorful feathers that'd resemble the stained glass in a church and

Abilities: it uses its feathers to channel wind beneath them and allows a small, repelling, vacuum bubbles of air, allowing them to fly at high speeds and rest on clouds. Incredible wingspan that would put a fighter jet to shame.

Danger: Very strong and fast, can burst through solid mountains

"I think I have bit of reading to do..." Said The Doll with a weird sort of excitement, "I've got a better idea" Xin said as he picked up some familiar black mass and started to mold it. He stopped after he had finished the craft and picked up his donut shaped magnet, he held up the new cylinder and brought it close. "YES!" he shouted as the magnet slapped itself on to the black mass shaped like a thermal container. "It imitated the actual physical properties of the bottle!!" Xin smiled as he thought aloud. "Awesome... now then" he turned to The Doll.

"What exactly will this accomplish?" The doll said as the entire back side of his body was submerged in the the tube shaped black mass. "Science" Xin said coldly as he clicked his mouse and booted up his private browser. A spark lit of from his laptop USB port started to travel through the wire-like black mass. Connected to the bottle that was at the end of the wire; The Doll said "What are you doing boy?" As The Doll soon figured out he was stuck to the bottle and couldn't even try to escape."Well you wont understand this until the next 25 seconds but... You're going online." said the boy before smirking after gently stroking his own hubris on the inside.

A vibration shot right through The Doll as he looked at the smiling boy his head started to fill with images videos and pages. Xin had given the ancient spirit complete and totally free access to the internet even though he was a bit scared to see the result. Xin unplugged the wire after about ten minutes "Soooooo... how was the trip?" Xin asked looking over him, "Why is your realm so..." The Doll looked down and back up at XIn, "so sad" he said calmly to Xin. Xin's smile turned into a frown, that was the reaction he expected although Xin had hoped for a different one the one he got was the correct one. "That's a question I do not know myself Doll... Man-thing... black-mass-person... I don't know man i'm trying" Xin looked at the doll with disappointment "Well at least my thing worked.." Xin added while raising his hands in a confused look

"For now boy just call me Perat Ong Puette" The Doll said still struggling to try and free himself from the bottle-shaped void. "I that's your name?" Xin asked him

" I believe so..." He said with reluctance "Based on the information from your electronic device I have concluded that I have been in the non-physical world for roughly around fifteen-thousand-year and memory tends to fade after the first couple hundred" said the doll, "Hmm how about P.O.Ps as like an acronym for your full name! plus an 'S'.." Xin said with some kind of excitement at having something to call him instead of just 'The Doll'. "I like it boy, now then how about we get to work" said Pops now sporting a familiar grin. "Alright so run it down for me! how does this work?" Xin asked with excitement clapping and rubbing his hands together.

"Well to start off the attribute of your 'gift' is any and all darkness, that is the same for all Monarchs, how you interact with them is completely dependent on you and your will." said Pops now relaxing in his makshift chair Xin made. Xin turned to him with a confused look "So first question: what do you mean by 'them'?". Pops looked at him and stayed silent then he sat up "The existence that is darkness is living, although, it is not by your worlds definition of what a life is, every bit or particle of darkness... is conscious" the little black doll said with a serious tone "The reason children are afraid of the dark is not because they're scared of being alone in the dark." He shifted towards Xin "They are scared of not being alone in the dark, they feel like they're being watched in the dark, or don't have any privacy in the dark, which is completely understandable... because they aren't alone." He paused to see if Xin understood what he was laying out "I see..." Xin said "So how whats the difference in how I interact with them" Xin asked the question almost immediately after the awkward pause. "I just revealed a species that no one else in your entire rea- world knows about and you basically just responded with "anyways". " The Doll said relaxing his sitting position "Yeah well i can have time to be surprised later" the boy said promptly. "I like they way you think boy!" Pops replied to his answer laughing. "Well the from what I can see you can manipulate already existing darkness and can mimic the physical properties of anything you wish, so it looks like you are a Shadow Monarch, the most versatile and dangerous type of Monarch, you lucked out boy" He smiled at Xin, "That's awesome so whats my gifts weakness?" Xin asked hoping for something hard like a special herb or ore, "You are" Xin's eyes widened and the doll's response. "What the hell are you goin on about?!" Xin exclaimed, "No not literally, what I meant was that the things you create will mimic what ever physical properties you tied to it unless you, their creator, say otherwise kid." replied Pops "Ohhhhh" Xin said out loud, deeply relived he didn't get debo'd by lady fate.

Xin thought for a minute and then continued the conversation "So if i make something like a piece of paper and burn it what would happened there?" Pops rested his chin on his hand "I suppose it would turn into ash fall and become part of the other gases and atoms in the atmosphere" replied the black toy "NOW! VERY IMPORTANT!" Xin declared "IF I were to, lets just say forgetfully, on a ... whim, happen to dismiss its presence?" Xin asked. Pop looked up at the calmly presented boy, "No you wont cause some paradigm shift in the cosmos and set off a nuclear explosion, don't ask, I've been in your head boy" Pops said while pointing at him. "Alright then pops, show me what you got." Xin grinned. Oh but not to his surprise he was joined in the fun by his new mentor.
