I got a phone call right when I woke up, from, Margaret of all people.

"Hello. I realize that this is sudden, but, there is one important point I forgot to warn you about, so I thought it best to contact you immediately. Going to save your friends is a selfless and noble deed, by all means we encourage and support you in regards to this matter. But to proceed too hastily in that quest will mean facing one battle after the next. Though you may be pressed for time, devouring yourself to battles will not quench your heart's yearnings. The bonds created through Social Links are another important means of strengthening your Persona. After school

I guess now might be a good time to see if the sports clubs need a manager. I'll head to the faculty office and see what I can come up with.

"Huh? So you want to join a club? Ohhh, no! I know what you're really after! You're just trawling for girls aren't you!? Admit it! Listen up, a club is supposed to be..." Morooka said as he began to lecture me.

"So, still want to join a club?" He asked

"As I understand it one of the sports teams is looking for a manager, due to my injury I won't be able to actually participate, but I can help them out anyways."

"Well you can either manage the soccer club or the basketball club. After leaving the office make a left and go through the exit down the hall to go to where the clubs meet! By the way, club days are on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! Sports clubs don't meet on rainy days, got it!?" He asked

Well, it's only Wednesday, I missed the ball for first day signup, but that's alright. Let's go see what Yosuke's up to.

"Yo Y/n, you tired? Now that Yukiko is saved, we can kick back and chill. You wanna go hang out?" He asked

"Sure I'm up for it." I said

"Alright! Let's go then." He said

We went for some Steak Skewers in the shopping district. Tough, as per usual but I still can't get enough of them.

"Sticking chunks of steak in croquettes, man this really is the country huh? Well it's good, though it's tough. Chie called this stuff "tender and juicy", what kind of teeth does she have?" Yosuke joked

Two ladies walked past us, I couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

"He's from Junes. Yasogami High School right?"

"His classmate? Sato san? Went out of business."

"This shopping district could disappear and yet-"

They walked away before we could hear the end of it.

"Hehe. Sorry about that, you know me, I'm infamous around here." Yosuke said

"It must be tough." I said

"Nahhh, it's not really. It's mainly my parents, I'm not personally involved. Anyways there's nothing I can do about it. I don't think there's anyone in Inaba who doesn't know me, in school or around town. Not that I mind but it's sucks that I always gotta mind my manners." He said

I'm starting to understand him a bit more.

Him and I ate until we couldn't move, then trudged on back home.

April 21

After School

Ok it's Thursday, time to apply for that manager position.

"Hi-"

"You must be here for the manager position. Thank god we've needed someone to fill the role for weeks now." The PE teacher said.

"Well I'm here now." I said

"Good, go introduce yourself to the soccer team, that's what we've got open at the minute." He said

I headed over to the field and introduced myself to the other players.

"Ah man, I thought we were gonna have a chick be the manager this year."

"Hey ain't that the other city transfer kid? The one with the temper?"

"Oh crap, we better watch ourselves!"

Two teammates approached me while the others went to practice.

"Don't mind them, they're just giving you a hard time because your new here. I'm Daisuke Nagasae, second year same as you. Nice to meet you." He said

"Well it's a good thing you joined the soccer team, because they need all the help they can get." The other one said

"You shut your mouth your team is just as bad. This big mouth here is Kou. He's the same grade as us but on the basketball team." Daisuke explained

"Kou Ichijo. I'm the basketball team's up and coming MVP."

"Man get your head out of the clouds."

"Hey that's not all! I'm pretty smart too so if you need help on any of your tests I'm your man! How about it transfer student? You a smart guy?"

"Stop calling him that." Daisuke said. "The team will be giving him enough crap as is."

"Whatever, hope you have fun." Kou said

They've accepted me as manager, sort of.

I headed on back home for the day.

Evening.

"Ah, I am beginning to regret that decision." I said as I put an ice pack on my knee. I spent most of the practice chasing after stray balls and filling water bottles. Not like I didn't know what I was getting into. Should invest in shin guards.

"I heard. The unruly manager of the soccer team." Yu said while reading.

"Oh really? I'm the unruly one, well at least I showed up today." I said as I sat down.

"I'm more or less just in it for the fun, and it's good exercise. You don't actually have to attend every practice, just enough so you can play during games."

"Yeah you'll be playing, I'll be running water back and forth. That's surprising though, I always took you as the more committed one out of the two of us." I said

"I am committed, just to multiple things at once." He said

"Just be careful how you word that around girls." I said

We both laughed, a few hours later I headed up for the night.
