Chapter 27: Dwarf City (1)

Alex had killed those bandits and absorbed their blood using the necklace, he sat in the carriage staring at it with a contemplative expression.

{The blood necklace}

{Created from the core of a progenitor of vampires it has the following skills [Blood control], [Enhance thought process], [Blood devour].}

[Blood control - Being the ruler of blood, it follows your command. Being artificial this ability has been limited to your blood.]

[Enhance thought process- The thought process of the user is passively enhanced to an extreme degree along the blood necklace is equipped.]

[Blood devours - Filled the endless hunger and thirst of the core. The more blood that it absorbs, the necklace becomes stronger, and a blood fruit will be created. {Blood fruit: 0.01%}]

The main reason Alex wanted this necklace was the blood fruit gave him the powers of a vampire progenitor without being one, but the amount of blood needed was large. He smiled preparing for the coming years and finding places to harvest blood. Considering his next toward the Dwarf city, ' Now what is left is to gain a part of my sword and .....' before finishing his thoughts Asher said.

"We're here." Alex stared at a large mountain and below it was huge gates. Yes, the Dwarf city was underground, and their daily life was there being the city that accepted every race more than others. Being protected by one of the commanders of the First Monarch which was near the Third Monarch territory.

The city that soon became a country, is what Alex remembered it by and nodded at Asher as they continued toward the gates. Reaching the gates there was a long line but because people feared Ava was carrying the carriage they created a path. Alex sat there before opening his eyes wide in shock sensing a familiar soul.

"This going to be troublesome." he thought as they reached the gate and Asher paid the money to enter. Formulating a plan they entered the gates they went below a little further before seeing an amazing city that was more technologically advanced than outside.

Alex stared around with wonder along with Asher and Stella, amazed by what it being shown. Demi-humans, elves, dwarfs, humans, and monsters walked around the city like it was normal. Those marking popular places for all races to join.

Many other races see themself as supreme like the Vampire, werewolves, and dragons being seen in a location like this hurts their pride. Taking his attention toward weapons and the restaurant he said "Stella, Asher let's look around a little bit more and buy you two some new clothes."

Both of them accepted nodding their head in excitement, roaming around the city. Hidden even further under the city was a place only a few knew and Alex was an exception to that with his soul sense power. Below was forest, water, and light from the catalyst above, beasts were seen roaming around the forest. A place that Alex didn't know except from the moment he sensed the soul below.

A man with black hair wearing a suit stood before an altar with a person on it, meditating. He stood there staring above his crimson-like aura oozing out hearing the mockery in his voice. "hahahahaha It's a shock the famous blood vein can't complete a mission."

He stood-up visage of a tall muscular male stood before him who had brown hair and a beard which made him even more dashing and handsome. "What a shame your record is coming to an end."

"Is that so," he said his aura disappearing. "Anyway, I need your help."

"Is it that difficult to catch them." he inquired this time in shock.

"No, it's a mission from the boss and he said to bring you along. Either way Zen is the one looking for them, I was told to back down," he answered his voice sounding angered.

"MMMMM.... So he saw that you were too weak to handle the mission." Blood vein devilish handsome faces showed with angered expression staring at the man. "Don't take me wrong but what do you think it means when the boss sends someone lower than you to finish the job," he questioned.

Blood Vein was angered but smelled the air as a wide smile appeared on his face, "How about we make a bet."

"What kind of bet," he asked walking down from the alter

"If I find that boy today you kneel and call me master for a day." The man stopped and laughed.

"What if you lose."

"I do the same," he responded.

"Then why not, what you talking about is mostly impossible," he replied.

"Are you sure about that." his voice sounded as his figure disappeared, "because am smelling familiar blood nearby," he answered.
