The Path of Revenge: A Reborn Anti-Hero

Born into a noble family and endowed with tremendous power, exceptional talent, and unparalleled physical attractiveness, one might assume these qualities to be blessings. However, are they truly advantageous or rather a curse? Allen Frey, a young man destined to inherit the illustrious lineage of Duke Frey in the Kingdom of Eldoria, finds himself entangled in this very predicament. Given his extraordinary social standing and the multitude of advantages at his disposal, it seems inevitable that Allen will lead a prosperous life and ascend to greatness in due course. What if this perceived fortune is merely an intricate facade, perpetually deceiving him at every twist and turn? What if it's all an elaborate lie? A hero summoned from another world with the mission to vanquish the Demon Emperor ultimately becomes the perpetrator, stripping Allen of everything he holds dear—his fiancée, sister, power, strength, and all that he possessed. Does this constitute fate? Even the figure known as the "Hero" ultimately eradicated his very existence. Can this be considered justice? In the final moments of his life, he gazed upward at the serene sky, mustering every ounce of strength to reach out his trembling hand. "Oh, God! Are you truly so merciless as to shatter my life?" "Can... Can you grant me an opportunity to alter this cruel destiny?!" He cried out, his voice strained, tears streaming down his face, and gradually he closed his weary eyes. [Ding! Stunning Lake and Other High-Level Monsters

Without delay, Allen quickly poured the monster's blood into his whole body.

After completing this grim task, he cast an escape spell to conceal himself.

"Wind Magic: Acceleration!" Instantly, his body vanished, blending into the dark night amidst the lush trees.

No sooner had he hidden than the giant Grython snake suddenly slithered on the ground, its expression seeing things with hatred.

"Ssshhht!" The Grython halted, scanning the surroundings with an observer's gaze.

It sensed that the scent of monsters or people killing its females had come to a halt at this spot.

"Shhht!" The Grython snake continued to search diligently but found no one.

The surrounding scent was merely that of the usual low-level monsters.

With no signs of the culprit in sight, the snake pressed forward, determined to find the one responsible for robbing the treasure and murdering its female companion.

Meanwhile, Allen, holding his breath and concealing himself adeptly, peered through the gaps in the trees.

He observed as the Grython snake finally slithered toward the deepest part of the forest.

"I almost got caught!" Allen exclaimed inwardly, releasing a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, he had a sudden idea; otherwise, dealing with the snake in its current state would have been incredibly challenging.

"Alright, since the snake is heading forward, I need to make my escape as soon as possible!" Without hesitation, he cast wind magic, causing himself to vanish from the scene.

...

"Whosshh!" Allen moved like the wind, skillfully navigating through the depths of the forest, taking a circuitous path to avoid the Grython snake.

"Fire magic: Fireball!" He cast a spell, directing it towards a mid-level spider monster.

"Boom!"

The fireball struck the spider, reducing it to ashes instantly.

Impressed by his own skills, Allen nodded and took a moment to rest on a sturdy tree trunk.

"It looks like today's harvest is truly profitable." Allen muttered to himself as he activated his panel.

"Panel, active!" Instantly, his information panel appeared before his eyes.

Upon seeing this, Allen nodded in satisfaction, feeling that if he maintained this hunting rhythm, he wouldn't be far from reaching the senior stage of the True Mage level.

"Panel, deactivate!" He whispered softly, and the panel vanished promptly.

Leaning his back against the tree, he contemplated his next course of action.

"Today, I must awaken my second class and unlock all the gifts the system has bestowed upon me; otherwise, venturing out again would be extremely challenging, especially with the engagement with Alice approaching in just three days."

Allen held his chin, deep in thought, as he crafted his plan.

Despite his focus on the task at hand, thoughts of that incredibly charming and beautiful woman continued to intrude, causing him to release a small sigh.

"I still can't comprehend why you betrayed me, Alice." He closed his eyes momentarily, reopening them with a gaze that held a touch of cruelty.

"However, in this life, I will never have any relationship with you!" He swore silently, his heart burning with hatred.

Deep within, he understood that there must be a reason why Alice and his sister, Lecia, who had always loved him, suddenly betrayed him.

Yet anger and hatred were deeply embedded in his soul, especially after witnessing the sacrifice of his mother and sister, Irina, at the hands of the hero.

He couldn't help but harbor an unyielding desire for revenge against the hero!

Lecia and Alice joined forces with the hero, ensuring his failure to kill the accursed hero and effectively thwarting any chance for revenge against the man who had caused his mother and sister's demise!

"The future is something I can alter, but this hatred and anger might not be something I can entirely rid myself of unless I settle everything..." Allen took a deep breath, a bitter expression etched on his face as he clutched his chest.

Gathering his resolve, he stood up and gazed ahead.

"It's time to move on." With that, he vanished from his current spot and reappeared several hundred meters ahead.

In his view, there was a large lake encircled by tall, dense trees.

"A lake?" Allen's brow furrowed, and an uneasy feeling washed over him as he peered at the tranquil waters.

However, Allen didn't sense any monsters or threats around the lake at all.

"The lake is so calm; it makes me quite curious," Allen thought to himself.

With a swift movement, he vanished from his spot, reappearing right at the lake's edge.

"The water is so clear, yet it's incredibly deep, and the bottom is completely out of sight." He squinted his eyes and slowly crouched down to touch the lake's water.

Feeling the chilly temperature of the water, he curiously cupped some of it in his hands and took a sip.

"Glup!" As he drank from the water of the lake, he felt its refreshing properties, and a sudden sense of fatigue vanished from his body.

"The water in this lake possesses qualities similar to those of a low-grade potion!" Allen was astonished by this discovery, as he had never heard of lake water having such remarkable effects.

Without hesitation, he retrieved a bottle from his bag and filled it to the brim with the lake water.

Securing the bottle's cap, he stood up and gazed at the lake's expanse.

"For some reason, I feel like there's something more to this lake beneath the surface." Allen murmured, sensing that there might be something extraordinary hidden below the calm waters.

"It seems I need to dive deeper." Just as he contemplated this, a shadow materialized on the lake's surface.

The shadow gradually expanded at a visible speed.

"Not good!" Allen immediately leaped back as far as possible from the lake.

"Boom!"

As expected, right in the middle of the lake, a dragon-like monster emerged, causing water to splash everywhere.

The sudden emergence of the dragon-like monster left Allen in utter shock.

"A high-level monster, Water Dragon!" he exclaimed in disbelief.
