Chapter II: The Signs

After a long period of class discussions and written works, dismissal time came. Our adviser entered our classrooms. My class who are busy fixing and gathering their things began seating down. Our adviser flopped a thick sheet of colorful paper on the desk.

"This is your schedule, no rather it's a flyer for our school foundation day fiesta…" Our adviser continued to explain.

"I'll be handing this to your class representative, Philip please distribute this after our dismissal time" She then called Philip.

Philip stood up, our adviser handed the flyers.

"Okay, that's all! Class dismissed!" She left the podium, opened the door, and left.

"Guys! Can I have your attention!?" Philip clapped his hands, everyone shifted their gaze at him.

"Please fall in line by the door I'll be giving it to you guys, so you can go home early…" Followed Philip. Everyone falls in line including me, as always I'm in the back even though my height isn't fit here. The flipping of flyers and the happy tones of "thank you" covered our class.

Now it's my turn. Receiving it, the editors took a lot of time designing the flyers. Before I could step a foot towards the door.

"Mark…Close it" He ordered. After closing the door, Emman gave Philip a thumbs up.

"So…What is it this time?" My hands are in my pocket. I didn't move a single muscle knowing, it will be useless.

"Nothing…I have a job for you…" Then Philip grabbed an armchair, sat on the arm table then continued.

"I just want you to buy… materials for our Classroom design for the foundation day festival…here's the money and list. It's already been totaled"

Rolling down the paper. The list almost touched the ground.

"How am I supposed to buy this by myself?" I replied.

Philip stood up and approached the door, his friends followed him.

"Figure it out…If one of the materials is damage or whatsoever I'll make your life even more miserable…"

"I'm in charge of our class' ticket for entering the school during the events, if you want to get your ticket, better to follow my orders, got it?" Philip closed the door shut.

Not noticing I was already turning the flyer into a colorful ball of paper, stopping my hand from clenching. And just breathe heavily.
