She ran from the living room to her room where she went on her bed and curled up in a ball. Why was choosing her own path this hard? Why were people so misinformed? Why couldn't they understand that this made her happy, that it brought her a piece of mind?

She sniffled a bit and wiped her tears, even though this was hard it wouldn't last forever and this just strengthened her desire to learn and practice magic. For she was unstoppable.

Vida paced around nervously as she bit her fingernails.

"You need to calm down Vida, nothing will come of this situation." Vida stopped walking and looked at Ace.

"Oh something will come of this situation, and what will come of this situation is Sage being burned on a stake." Vida shouted before taking a breath in and calming down. "I-I'm sorry." Vida looked down as tears started to form in her eyes before they made their way down her cheeks. Ace got up and hugged Vida.

"It's okay Vida, we'll figure this out and we'll save Sage." He said with a small sigh. "Now come on and sit down so we can plan this out." Vida nodded and they made their way to the couch before sitting down.

"Why do people have to punish others for choosing their own path? For choosing something that makes them happy?" Vida asked Ace as tears started to escape her eyes once more.

"I don't know Vida." Vida sighed as a tear came down her face.

"People shouldn't be shamed for doing things that make them happy, it's not like Sage was hurting anyone."

"And I agree, but us just being mad about the situation isn't going to get us anywhere." Ace wanted to help, he completely agreed with Vida but at the same time, Vida's angry rambling wasn't going to save Sage.

"Okay then, how are we going to save Sage?"

"I have an idea." Ace smirked before going and discussing the plan with Vida.

"And hereby we sentence the witch to death!" The village cheered as a tear left Sage's eye. What had she done to them that was so bad as to warrant death?

"Hey, assholes!" Vida yelled from a distance catching everyone by surprise as murmurs spread throughout the town. "What has she done to you? be honest with yourself for a moment!" A thick layer of silence filled the group. "Think about if the tables were turned and you were prosecuted for your path. How would you feel? Huh?"

"Oh fuck this!" The one-man yelled grabbing the torch and lighting the steak she was attached to on fire. "Ha, now the witch will burn!" Vida scrunched her face up in discussion.

"No, she won't!" She stomped her foot down hard freezing the ground under the villager's feet and the steak Sage was attached to.

Vida quickly looked up with rage in her eyes, she made chains come and encapture the villager who tries setting Sage on fire. The chains wrapped tighter around him before he popped into a ball of light.

"And the lesson here is to walk your own path, even when it's hard."

"Must you go?" Sage asked the duo with a pitiful expression.

"Unfortunately, but now you have the town here to keep you company." Vida smiled.

"I guess you're right." Sage said offering a sheepish smile.

"C'mon Vida!" Ace called outstanding by a new door. Vida smiled and gave him a small nod to indicate she was coming.

"It was nice meeting you Sage, thank you for your hospitality."

"No problem." Sage said with a small nod as Vida walked towards Ace.

"Ready to go?" Ace asked as he looked at her.

"Yeah." Vida smiled. "Ready to go into the unknown."

"Into the unknown." Ace agreed.
