The History Of Werewolves

William, Keisha, Brian and Connor continued to battle the boulder pack member's ferociously as the battle raged on for another three minutes. Connor and Will were back to back as they faced off their opponents. Keisha continued to fight Blake even though she was now on the receiving end of most of the battle. Brian was dominating his fight with his own opposition as he was bigger, stronger and was able to outsmart his opponent. They continued the fight beating eachother as it looked as if they were about to pass out when they heard the howl of four other wolves. Upon hearing the howl, Connor, Keisha and Brian felt relieved as the rest of the pack came to join them in the fight.

Caleb was the first to arrive. He dawned a light brown and black coat with a white underbelly and some markings on his face. He slapped the unnamed wolf on top of Connor and backed him up in chasing him away. The battle veteran Miranda or knockout as they like to call her assisted Will in his fight. Her powerful paws delivered a stunner which sent Will's opponent rolling into the stream. Her fur colour was a combination of white, black, and brown with some parts of the brown markings had honey like colour. Linda, Keisha's mom backed Brian up as the out muscled his wolf opponent, she has a black and white fur coat. Eric the the alpha of the pack who is also Keisha's father went to save his daughter from the claws of Blake. Though she was a skilled fighter, Blake's size and strength was the key factor to him beating her. Eric shoved Blake of his daughter and snarled at him as a warning. He has a silver and black fur coat.

"You have no right to be here Blake" he said with authority in his voice. He was prepared for Blake if he decided to attack again. He stood over his daughter as she stood up slowly from the ground.

"Yes I figured" Blake said sarcastically.

"You're lucky your dad heard your puppy cries and came to save you or you'd have been aced. Let's go boys, there's nothing for us here. I'm pretty sure that newbie is going to be a loser anyway" Blake said to them. He and his boys came together and headed out. They gave a howl before they left the scene and disappeared into the bushes.

Eric did not have time to acknowledge their newest member before he gave his command.

"Alright pack let's move out, back to base" he said in a commanding tone.

The other wolves agreed to his statement and prepared to move. As they were about to leave, Will remembered his drawing and his things on the floor amongst some bushes. He looked at his drawing and it was destroyed by all the fighting so he had to draw a new one. As they trotted away, William went back for his things and picked them up in his mouth and followed them. Before the others could realise where he had gone, he appeared right behind them and over took all of them since the house they were all going to gather at was straight ahead. This proved instantly that he was faster than all of them which made him the fastest member of the pack. They all arrived the house with all the other members surrounding Will.

"Hmmmmm, his stature looks like that of a proper scout and his muscular legs is ideal for speed" Miranda said with her Irish accent.

"Well said Miranda, well said". Caleb added.

"It seems we've got a new addition to the pack. Let's step inside and introduce ourselves" Eric stated as he transformed back into his human form and the others followed.

When they all turned human, he realised that he had seen Keisha, Connor and Brian at his school. No wonder they were always together at school almost all the time, it all made sense now. Will was the only one that hasn't transformed yet as he didn't know how to. He looked kind of confused as he felt left out.

"Don't worry, I'll walk you through it". Connor said.

Will could not respond to him as you know, he was still a wolf.

"Alright, just think bout being human and how you looked. It's just like switching a light bulb on and of. Thinking about being a wolf or even transforming into it is the same principle that is applied to turning into a human so just think about turning into a human and you'll be fine" Connor said with a reassuring smile at the end of his sentence.

William took his advised and acknowledged his words with a nod and thought about being human again. He thought about how he looked with all the details and his bag dropped from his mouth unto the ground and he turned back into a human like a snail coming out of its shell.

"Thanks for the help man" Will said as he picked his bag up from the floor.

"No problem, I owed you the favour after you saved my back with those wolves back there" Connor said.

Both of them shine hands before they all walked into the house and got seated for the meeting.

As they deliberated on how they are going to approach this new situation with the neighbouring pack but they decided to turn their attention to the introduction of their new member.

"Well, let's leave that topic and turn our attention to other things like our new member to the pack. Let's all introduce ourselves and state our positions in the pack and rank. Let's start with you Connor" Eric stated.

"I'm Connor Lane aka the tactician. I'm also a tracker slash scout and I'm omega rank" Connor stated.

"I'm Keisha Gatwick aka Hunter, I'm a scout slash hunter and I'm also omega rank" she added.

"I'm Brian Lane Connor's brother aka Rammstone I'm a warrior with the rank of omega" Brian said.

"I'm Caleb Gatwick, Keisha's cousin, aka El Toro. I'm also a warrior with the beta rank" Caleb said.

"I'm Miranda but everyone here calls me knockout. I'm a warrior slash scout and I'm also beta rank" she added with her Irish accent.

"I'm Linda Gatwick, I'm a scout slash tracker as well as the alpha female" Linda stated.

"I am Eric Gatwick, leader of the Hamsterly Forest pack. Welcome to the pack. Introduce yourself to us" Eric declared.

"I'm William Laire. I don't know my position or rank but my friends call me LW" William said with a bit of shakiness in his voice.

There were gasps across the room as he mentioned his surname. They all looked at eachother in shock that a Laire was in their presence.

"Well William, I'm sure you're a bit scared at why we gasped. It's because, the Laire family were one of the core members of the pack and co-founders of the pack with the Gatwick family. The wolves that came out from their family were legends. The bright stars were Janet and Brody Laire" Eric stated.

"Janet and Brody Laire? They are my parents" He said to everyone's shock.

"That means we have the child of two legends in our mist. I hope you live up to your name Laire" Caleb said in rude manner. He wasn't happy that a newbie would take the spotlight right from the spot.

"Well, let me give you a brief history about us wolves. Long ago in the 17th century, a demonic cult entered a blood convenant with the demons of hell. This convenant made all the members of the cult and their future generations produced from their interbreeding become vampires and each passing generation became a refined version of the previous generation of vampires. With the demons in need to feed to keep their hosts alive, they developed a thirst for blood and evolved their dentition to grow fangs with holes located at the bottom of their fangs so that they could suck blood and had a way of finding the major blood vessels in any mammal. This drove them to reek havoc as they attacked villages and towns casting fear into people's hearts. Only members and offsprings of their cult could Weil's the apocalyptic vampire powers and the cult began to spread through out the United Kingdom. They ruled most parts of the country with fear and terror and people of the land ere desperate to release themselves and looked to mages and wizards for a solution. They finally met a wizard strong enough to cast a transformation spell. He was going to turn them into dragons but was distracted by the howling of a wolf as his tower was in the forest and said the word wolf because of that. Rather than turning into dragons, they were turned into gigantic wolves. With most of his power drained, they had no choice but to fight them in that way. It proved effective and more and more people met the wizard for the transformation power. Packs were formed within towns and they wiped out vampires in most areas of the UK but some escaped to high mountain tops to hide. Development caught up them but the packs operate in obscurity as they own all the forests within the United Kingdom in case the cult returns. The power of transformation is also passed genetically from generation to generation. Over time the way the packs function has really changed with the ranking system becoming more important than ever and certain tests to determine a wolf's role in the pack" Eric narrated before he chugged down a glass of water to wet his throat.

"I'm pretty sure you get our history now. So William, as part of your initiation, you will undergo some certain test and training session to prepare you for your pack life". Eric said.

"Connor, you'll be his patrol partner. The two of you will cover the western side of our territory. You'll also be teaching him how to scout and track. Keisha, you'll train him on how to hunt and Miranda, you'll be taking him on combat" he announced.

"I'm going to shape him into a fine fighter, that's for sure" he said with a little giggle at the end.

"It's getting late, I've got to get home now" Will said to the rest of the pack.

"Bye Will" they chorused.

He walked out of the Gatwick house and headed to the car park to get his bike and go home. He managed to get home in time but the one thing that was on his mind was why his mother and father put the pack behind them and became business entrepreneurs. That was a question only they could answer. He prepared dinner for himself as he unfroze part of the meatloaf his aunt had prepared and made gravy for himself to eat. He totally forgot about his assignment now as he was thrilled about being a werewolf and thought of countless possibilities for himself in the pack. Pondering upon all this made him fall asleep as he was pretty tired.

William rode his bike quickly to school. He wanted to catch either Connor or Brian in school. As he arrived, he saw the three of them waiting at the schools entrance for him.

"Lucky catching you guys here, what's up?" Will asked.

"Well, LW, we couldn't just leave our newest roaming the school halls without his homies. We're like family now. Plus I never got to add you to the WhatsApp group chat yesterday." Brian replied.

"A group chat, cool." Responded LW as he handed his phone over to Brian so that he would add him.

As they socialised with Brian teasing Keisha making them all laugh, training he school bell rang and they had to go to class. Connor was a grade lower than him and Brian was a grade above him. The only person in his grade was Keisha but he didn't know how to start a conversation with her. As they walked into class, he felt a tap on his back.

"Oh Keisha, what's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing just noticed that your drawing assignment yesterday got destroyed" she answered

"Oh that, I completely forgot. Mr Joel is going to have my head" he said slamming his palm into his forehead.

"Don't worry, I was able to salvage and finish it up for you" Keisha replied as she handed it over to him.

Willt thanked her for her help and dashed off to submit the assignment. Thankfully, Mr Joel wasn't around to see him as he dropped it and snuck off to his fist class of the day.
