35 A New Age

Brent slashed and bit down on the body parts of vampires and broke them down until they were basically nothing. The others also toon down the vampires with ease seeking to get to the big boys rather quickly but their reinforcements were finding it a bit harder than the others to take the vampires down. Thankfully the numbers helped them to make up for their flaws. Soon Brent set his sights on Tasha, the one responsible for the death of his mother. He growled deeply baring his teeth at her and she smirked as their eyes connected and the two slowly walked towards eachother. Vladimir knew that he couldn't stop her now from engaging him. A vampire showed up in front of Brent attempting to attack him but William flew at him like a bullet taking him out of his path. The two finally met standing just feet away ready to fight.

"So little dog you here to avenge your mommy's death or here to die like her" she said with a smile.

This made Brent really mad as he growled again more fierce than before with his teeth bared.

"Oh I didn't mean to talk about that old hags death with her bones snapping like a twig with the force of my punch and it seems you're going down too"

Brent completely lost it roaring at her and lunged at her. He clamped down on her shoulder puncturing right through her concrete hard skin as they rolled on the ground. She punched Brent of her body with one swing. Brent flew off landing on his back but rolled back on to his feet with Tasha getting back to her feet with black blood flowing from her wound.

"I'm going to kill you dog for doing this to me" she said angrily and frowning while holding her other arm.

Brent grunted and ran at her. She ran at him as well and delivered a flying kick to his head sending him into a tree. Before he could recover, she gave him a punch to the head sending him feet away as his head hit the ground. She jumped in the air seeking to him it with her bone breaking punch but she didn't notice William that snuk up on her and helped Brent out by coming at her from the side and he bought time for Brent to recover as he battled her. Brent got back to his feet and ran at Tasha who stood over Will's body pulverising him. He took his chance and bit down on her head and shook her furiously as she tried to get free punching his mouth but Brent refused to let go as she continued punching him over and over and over. Brent finally put her body down and pulled hard ripping her head from her shoulders. When her head dropped from her mouth, the others pure bloods got pissed off with some instinctively beginning to run towards Brent. Brent was happy that he had gotten his revenge and was ready to go meet his mother and ran at the nine vampires charging towards him. Soon he was joined by William, then Brian, Connor and Mary joined up, Eric also appeared, Keisha as well and the last two to join were Kent and Ethan. They ran jumping at the vampires who also jumped at them and they collided in the air. Wolves fought valiantly biting and pulling with the vampires getting back with punches and kicks. It was hard but they pulled through, William and Keisha split Armin in half from his legs up, Rex was decapitated by Kent, the others were torn down limb by limb until it was head separated from body and Brent crushed Vladimir's skull in his mouth. The other fighters killed every other vampire that moved and finally the war between them was over. They rejoiced going home to eat the celebratory food Linda and the other ladies had prepared. Like Eric had said in his speech, their names were penned down in the Hamsterly book of legends with their victory recorded. It was bitter sweet as they had to say goodbye to the new friends they had made over the past couple of weeks but with the vampires supposedly killed, they could finally relax.

|William's POV|

It was now summer and with our victory in spring, other packs have been coming to train under us to sharpen their vampire killing skills as we lead the wolf world to a new time of peace with the destruction of vampire covens. We are now one if not the most influential pack in the whole United Kingdom. The pack had also seen two new members with the two being twins, a girl named River and a boy named Wood. They were both dark chocolate brown with an ear each being white. Wood's left ear is white while River's right ear is the white one. That was how they could tell the difference between the two as they were the same size with Wood being slightly more muscular. The pack of four that helped us during our final battle were given the Vampire part of the woods to guard in case the vampires ever return. I just remembered, my parents also bought me a Kawasaki ninja 400 after I got my motorcycle license two months ago, all I have to say that it's a wicked machine that I love to open up on the country road whenever I go for joy rides. My relationship with Keisha has been better than ever after we had a week-long camping trip alone. Mary and Connor are also taking it one step at a time as their relationship keeps on getting better and better. Brian has also met a girl but isn't saying who. It's been good all-around and the summer break is even better as I get to spend more time in the forest as a wolf and can stay as late as I want. Eric and Linda have called for a little get together to look back on the events that have happened so far and they also said that they have an important announcement to make though no one knows what's it about.

|Third Person POV|

The backyard was set up with a buffet set up before them on the long table they sat on. Brody and Janet were also invited for the get together as it was for pack members old and new. They got down to eating, cracking jokes and having a good time. After a while it was time for Eric and Linda to make their announcement.

"Your attention please" Linda said using their cutlery to gently hit their glass to make a tinging sound to get their attention as they stood in front of them all.

"Thank you" Linda thanked.

"This little get together of ours wasn't just for us to be merry but for us to hive an important announcement" Eric addressed them.

"Linda and I have come to a decision after our fight with the vampires and have decided to step down as the Pack's alpha pair and take a similar role to that of Janet and Brody as consultants and reserve fighters. We are also going to handle the pack affairs and keep our operations as hidden as possible"

Eric's statement made them all to gasp not expecting an announcement of that sort. The question now was who's going to take over as the pack's leader now.

"And after a long time deliberating over the past couple of months, we've chosen a successor. One that has proved to us that he's capable of leading ever since his arrival" Linda continued.

"The person we've chosen to lead is none other than,....."

Everyone held their breath as they waited for them to announce their new leader.

"William Laire!" Eric and Linda announced simultaneously and began to clap.

The others also followed suit as they thought it would be Brian, but he was also a good pick. His parents congratulated him as well as Connor, Brian, Keisha and the other pack members.

Wow, he joined not up to a year now and he's now the leader of a pack, it seems the reins of leadership has been passed back to the Laire family and it was time for the new generation to step into the fore front and lead the pack into a new age. Will is now going to be at the forefront of all the happenings not only in the pack but in the wolf world as well. The first thing was he did was to appoint Brian and Brent as his advisors with Brian taking the role of being his right-hand man and since he was in a relationship with Keisha, that meant that she was the next alpha female if they do get married. Things were just getting better and better for William as he made new but crucial changes to how things were being run around the pack. He also made sure that the pack of four reported directly to him and weren't even part of the Pack's hierarchy so that they won't report to anyone else apart from William and in rare occasions Brent since it had to do with vampires.

He stood on a cliff that oversaw the entire forest as it was the best view in the forest. The wind was blowing at his face making his fur sway giving a dramatic effect as he looked at his new kingdom. The others showed up behind him also enjoying the view with their alpha. With the support of the pack both past and present, William was confident that the pack would make it and survive and never regretted ever joining the pack.
