Chapter 11

"So Wolf, let me get this straight... you now have a dragon Familiar?" Asks Zelen, staring at my jaw. I shudder at his cold gaze.

"Yes, Night said he can prove it if need be, he just needs open space." I say, relaying the message. Headmaster Zelen looks at the crystal ball at the corner of his desk.

"I see. Then let this Night come and prove it." He said, standing up and walking to his door. "Come." he said, beckoning me. He walks out of his office and down a hallway. Soon we come to a huge golden door. He touches the door and a click sounds from the walls on either side of them. The huge golden doors swing open revealing a 200 foot tall room that was 200 feet wide on either side of the door.

"We use this room for flying practice. We use either brooms or our magic, if a mage has wind magic then they can just use their magic. Certain brooms have different affinity to certain mages magic. Depending on what magic the mage has the faster they can go on their brooms." he said, watching my reaction. I feel my face light up.

"Wow." I say out loud. How do I release you? I ask Night.

"Say my name." he laughs. That's all? "Yup, bout it." he says.

"Can I take him out now?" I ask, turning to Headmaster Zelen. He stares at me for a minute then nods.

"NightFlame, come out now." I say. Power floods out from me into the room, white light fills the whole room. After I could see again NightFlame stood in front of me, head bowed.

"My name is NightFlame!" He roared, flapping his wings.

"Hi Night." I say, running over to hug his tail since I can't really hug him anywhere else.

"Hiya Phoenix." he says, his voice making the ground vibrate. *boom* What was that?!? I scream in my head. Zelen looks around and, runs out of the room, making his way outside. I ran trying to keep up with him, smoke following me. Soon we were outside, Night forming beside me out of the smoke.

"Ow! Son of bitch that was the worst landing we have ever made Nightstalker!" I hear someone shout in pain.

"Who dares trespass on my school??" Headmaster Zelen yelled.

The older woman sits up and blinks before she brushes her black and navy blue hair out of her face.

"Me and my dragon, Nightstalker." she says narrowing her red eyes.

"Nightstalker, brother!" Night exclaims, jumping over to him, making the ground shake.

Nightstalker looks over at NightFlame and sits up immediately. "Big brother!" Nightstalker shouts happily. I laugh as they tackle each other, wing over tail flying everywhere. She smiled and stood up, as she does her black and navy blue hair falls past her knees.

"My name is Chara Flame Dragon." She said. I watched as she walked over to Stalker and crawls onto his back, laying down between his wings.

"Hello Chara...You have the same middle and last name as me..." I trailed off, thinking. Night who is this woman? I ask him.

She looks over and grins, "Of course, we are cousins after all."

"She is dangerous to everyone. She can kill anyone she wants, except ten people." he says. I watch as he untangles himself from Stalker and stomps back to me.

"Brother, this is my master. His name is Wolf Flame Dragon." Night says, smiling a huge toothy grin. I watch as Stalker brings his head around to look at me.

"So this is the mortal father bonded you with." He said, laughing. "He must be really weak." He added. Night stared at his brother, then roared.

"He's not weak one bit, he's immortal brother." He roars. NIGHT!! I yell inside my head.

"NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT!!!" I yelled out loud. I started sweating as Zelen whipped his head around to stare at me, eyes huge. Chara propped herself on one elbow and looked at me all calmly.

"What?" Zelen asks then adds, "What does he mean?" I turn towards Night, then turn back towards Zelen.

"I have a curse that was passed down through my bloodline. I can't be killed by unnatural causes, only by old age." I said.

Chara climbs down from Nightstalker and walks over to me. "Ah yes, the curse of immortality, too bad that you won't ever get reborn." she said with a sly grin on her face.

"Yes well, I live for a long time apparently. Night, didn't you say I would live for like two million years?" I ask. He turns to look at me.

"Yes, the Phoenix curse will stop your age at 21." he said.

"Well, Night, I guess you have a good partner. He will be alive for the rest of your life at least." Stalker sneered, blowing fire out his nose. I blink my eyes a few times, I started swaying, suddenly exhausted. Suddenly I am on the ground.

"Oh, SH*T! I forgot!" Night Exclaims. "I can't be outside you for long right now. Bye brother!" he said disappearing in a poof of smoke. Chara sighs and pat Nightstalker's nose as he places his head close enough for her to reach him. "This is why dragons never bond to mortals, unless your a Dragon Tamer or me that is." She said. That was the last thing I remember before the darkness took a hold of me.
