32 I REMEMBER YOU

Yang Han passed by about to head to his room when he heard shouting. Even without going there, he knew it definitely had to be Jiayi. Not wanting any trouble, he passed about to enter his room when he felt the same dark aura as before. Opening Jiayi's door slowly, he saw Jiayi walking to Xiaowen who was kneeling down. His eyes darted to the sword behind her back.

Rushing in, he ran inside hitting Jiayi to make her faint. When he glanced at the maid, he could see the fear in her eyes. This made him feel sorry. Bending his head down, he glanced everywhere but the maid.

"Crown prince. Thank you" Xiaowen said

"Why didn't you try to look for help when your mistress started acting strange?" Yang Han asked helping Xiaowen up.

"I didn't want to upset the princess." Xiaowen said.

"I know Jiayi's personality very well. Next time, ring this bell." Yang Han said handing over a sliver bell to Xiaowen.

Dismissing Xiaowen, Yang Han sat down by Jiayi's bed waiting for her to wake up. Inhaling deeply, Yang Han traced his fingers along Jiayi's face slowly almost as if he didn't want to forget her face at all. When he noticed she was about to wake up, he disappeared leaving her alone. The two of them didn't get along all.

Jiayi was walking along the hallways. There was no place in the palace she didn't know and she felt proud of herself. When she got to the room at the end of the hallway, she opened it slowly but found herself being pulled inside.

"I missed you!" Jiayi said wrapping her hands around his neck as she inhaled his scent happily.

She was surprised when her hands were removed and she was pushed back.

"Master, what's wrong?" Jiayi asked.

"What's wrong with you?" Lord Sly asked.

Before Jiayi could answer him, he used his powers to check her inner demon core. Once again her powers was acting up. With the way Jiayi's powers was, Lord Sly knew he was running out of time. Finding the dark core was very important to him.

Removing his hand, Lord Sly sat down as he watched her regain consciousness. Her inner core was being affected, and her primordial spirit was going to fade and she was going to die. Ever since he realized she fell into the dark waters, he had used her as some sort of beacon for the dark core.

"What happened to me?" Jiayi asked looking dizzy.

"Nothing. Tell me. What's the new progress on the heavenly king?" Lord Sly asked.

"Master, you know about that?" Jiayi asked.

"Silly girl. Do you know you can go to and fro without being noticed by your elders? Let this serve as a warning. Don't go about carelessly" Lord Sly said.

"Ahhhh! I will abide by your teaching master." Jiayi said.

"The crown prince's birthday is coming up soon. What have you prepared?" Lord Sly asked.

"I am well aware. I do want to seduce the king but at the same time we cannot let go of the outstanding crown prince. Don't worry master. I know what to do" Jiayi said

"Okay, as far as you know what to do. Jiayi, cultivate before the banquet. This place is the Dark python hall. There is a lot of bad energy flowing here. It will be good for your cultivation. Stay here and cultivate" Lord Sly said standing up.

"But this is your hall. Master, I fear this will be improper." Jiayi said smiling devilishly.

"Oh really?" Lord Sly asked kissing Jiayi.

After a few minutes, Master Sly pulled back watching as Jiayi smiled shyly. She was indeed intoxicating. Just like a nice fragrant perfume.

"Go and cultivate. Your powers are acting up again. Do you know that?" Lord Sly asked as he cleaned his mouth because of her bright red lipstick.

"That must be why I felt so high and contented" Jiayi said laughing.

"Don't always be playful. It is very easy for you to become corrupted. Do you know what will happen then? The five nature beasts will come gunning for you. By then, not even your father or mother will be able to protect you." Lord Sly said making Jiayi scared for the first time.

"You must cultivate and keep control of your powers. I will get going now. Don't come out until you can get control of yourself. There are two ancient snakes down here. They have lived for a very long time and carry a lot of dark energy. It will be good for your cultivation" Lord Sly said leaving.

Maybe he could extend her life for some time. If her powers continued like this, there will be grave consequences.

The dark king was in his hall chatting with Lord Pain and Lord Chaos. When they weren't tough headed or annoying, they were the way he had always seen them. His little siblings. Lord Sly entered the hall stopping the conversation as everyone looked at his worried face.

"Greetings Dark king. Greetings Lord Pain and Lord Chaos" Lord Sly said.

"What's wrong? Why is your face like that?" The dark king asked.

"It's Jiayi. Her powers are behaving once more. Don't worry. I have out her in the dark python hall to cultivate" Lord Sly said.

"The dark python hall is full of dark energy. Jiayi will be okay. Just let her cultivate for some time" The dark king said.

Just as he removed his eyes from Lord Sly, the dark king turned and saw his brother, Lord Pain looking at him worriedly. He knew what his brother was worried about. That's why his powers too had been unstable. The good thing was that his cultivation was higher therefore he could control the dark core within him. But now, he was more worried about his daughter.

After the meeting, he went to straight to see his daughter in the dark python hall. Opening the door, he saw her floating above the platform with black energy surrounding her. The room was very neat which would allow sufficient circulation. Lord Sly also didn't forget not to put on any form of light which was good. Light and fire contained pure good energy which wasn't good for her cultivation.

"Jiayi. Are you okay? My little girl" The dark king said sitting down.

He knew she could hear him even though she couldn't talk.

"My pretty little daughter. Do you remember? I used to tell you and your sister that I will be the one cultivating for you when you grew up. I wanted to protect you girls and didn't have the heart to see you suffer. Fate had other things in mind. It pains me that you are here cultivating because you are fighting for your life. Your powers are unstable. Don't worry. I will protect you. Those nature beast won't ever know about you" The dark king said.

While he was talking, someone shifted from the door leaving. When she got to the gate of the dark realm, she removed her hood showing her hair for the first time. She was the nature guardian. For thousands of years she had maintained balance but now, all that was about to be scattered. Her own daughter was on the verge of being corrupted. If the nature ancient beasts found out, there will a lot of trouble.

Not just because of the fact that her father, the dark king and the whole dark realm wouldn't allow it, but because even she would never allow her only daughter's primordial spirit to be torn and scattered apart as punishment. People that became corrupted were as a result of practicing the forbidden magic of their realms or when their powers were went out of control turning them mad.

Will her daughter become like that? The image of her daughter being tied up as the ancient beasts tore her primordial spirit apart brought tears to her eyes. No. She will rather be removed than to lose another daughter. But a part of her was happy. What she saw showed that the dark king really adored their only child which made her happy. Extremely happy.

"Your Highness, are you ready to go?" A male guard said.

"Yes. Let's go. The crown prince of the heavenly realm is having his birthday in a few days, we better go and prepare a gift" The nature guardian said leaving.

The servants ran about preparing for the crown prince's birthday. Everybody in the three realms that mattered will be coming. It was also an opportunity for girls to show their immerse talents in order to win the outstanding crown prince over. Meanwhile the crown prince in question was no where to be seen.

The sun particularly shined today. It was as if fate was telling them today was auspicious. To everyone except Fengge. Flowers fell to the ground as he walked into his mother's side of the palace. When he learnt how to walk, the first thing he did was to occupy his mother's palace. Ever since he was young, he had craved his mother's touch and missed her a lot. But then he heard she died giving birth to him. This made him feel guilty.

Dropping a white eternal rose on her grave, he sat down looking at the painting of his mother that had been hanged above. His mother had been the heavenly queen so her grave had been built very well out of the finest gold and rocks. No matter how beautiful it was, not many people came to visit it. In order not to spoil his birthday, his mother's death anniversary was never celebrated. His father said that his mother made a big sacrifice so they should just remember it in their hearts.

He did. He had never forgotten. And that's why he had tried to make everyone remember too. By being the outstanding crown prince. When people praised him, they remembered his mother who gave birth to him and her name wasn't forgotten.
