Chapter 14 - Xander

"Who the fuck is Venga", Nick spat making me roll my eyes, he always panicked without a reason whatsoever. "Haven't you been listening? He is the new competition", Dana said angrily. Yes when she is pissed she was deadly, i remember when Dad used to send her to seduce the big guys before they went in our payroll like it was just yesterday. "He is not competition, he is just dirt on our boots", i said dumping a file infront of him. "He is just a kid? What the fuck? Is he even worth our fucking time?", Dad said while he was reading through the file. "Unless he makes a move i don't see why we should give him attention", i suggested and Dad agreed. Nick seemed pissed. "What is your problem? We are fixing your issues and all you do is whine like a girl", "My issue? Dad all you do is listen to X nothing i say matters",he said panting. "If you were me would you listen to the sun that only cares about fucking random women or the one that give you reasonable solutions? All you have been doing is cause problems", Dad was shouting at this point. I could see how scared Dana was. He stood up and held Nick by the throat. "This is the last time that we are stepping in to listen and fix your mess, next time make sure its worth wasting my retirement time", he said and released him. He walked out my office slamming the door. I walked towards Nick who was still trying to get a hold of his breath offering my hand to pull him up. He reached out instantly. This is the thing, we hated each other's guts but when it came to family business, we stood our ground. The future of our family was important and in that angle we made sure all our differences were put aside.

"Look just take this seriously, we don't want him making life hard for us ok? I have enough of my plate already", i told him. "Got it, thanks for the Venga stuff, Jace told me", "i got you", i told him giving him a bro hug. He walked out not caring that Dana was there.

"You are a good brother", Dana said studying my every move. I don't know why she is still here. Everyone left hours ago. "So i see you fat beauty chose to stay", she was jealous. I still fail to understand why she is still on my business. "Dana, i would appreciate if you stop calling Lola those kind of names, its disrespectful and beneath you. You made your choice, live with it, just like i did". There was a knock on the door, Tank got in with a smile on his face, only one woman could make Tank smile. Lola, fuck! Having Dana in my office was going to complicate things but i had to play it cool so that she wont pay much attention to her. "Hi Xander, sorry we were in the neighbourhood and i thought we could go out for lunch?", she said it as a question, her face changing to a serious one after she saw Dana on the sofa. I stood up and walked towards her, i hugged her and kissed her, a deep kiss. She moaned making me pull back, god i loved how responsive she was to me. "Thank you for coming, i would love to, let's go", i said pulling her to the door, i turned before leaving the office. "Lock up, i wont be back", she looked angry but i didn't care, Lola was my girl now and i was going to give her undivided attention.

"Waoh! A burger joint", i teased making her laugh, i liked when she did that. She was avoiding my eyes though and that was not normal, she was up to something. We ate in silence, even though i had my doubts about her visiting me during work hours, i waited patiently. "Xander, i need to tell you something. There is this guy, he is the son of one of our clients and he has been bringing me flowers and calling me. I have told him a couple of times that i have a boyfriend but he doesn't stop and last saturday he had flowers delivered at the mansion and i just thought you should know because i don't want you to think that am cheating on you or that something is going on between us", she was rambling and it was so cute. "Whats his name?", i asked knowing that i had homework to do. "What?", "His name Baby girl, tell me", i said calmly. I was nothing but pissed inside, Lola was the one person i did not want to share or have anyone mess with. "Leo Reeves", she said rubbing her thumb on my hand. The moment i heard the name i realised that i knew his Father, i was funding their business, i was his boss so this was going to be easy. "Please don't hurt him", she pleaded surprising me. "Wait, what do you think am about to do?", "Beat him up of course", she said. "Lola, just because i told you about my past doesn't meant i go around beating people up. I want to know his name because i need to know if i know him, that's all, besides i will see him at the event", i replied, she didn't look happy. "I swear Baby girl", "Ok, i believe you", she said and leaned in for a kiss, i met her half way.

"See you later?", i asked her when they dropped me at the cafe. I wanted to see if it was restored to my standards after the mess that took place. That and i was told there was new intel about Venga that i needed to hear. "Ok, don't be late please, i hate sleeping alone, i mean it", she said making me smile and kiss her hard. This woman was everything to me and i wanted the whole world to know.

"The kid is using the Reeves company to launder money for his business, he is a friend of the son, Leo. His name sounded familiar. He is the son that Lola was talking about. Fuck! This is insane. I knew he was doing all these things behind his Father's back. That man was always true to his word meaning Leo was the one doing all this. What i didn't understand was did he not tell his son about having partners? I helped Mr. Reeves keep his business alive when he was in the verge of collapsing. Coming to think of it I finally have a reason to visit him. It was time for formal introductions.
