'Sludge'

Inside the Mo Clan mansion, the father and son duo together with Shandian excitedly waited inside the guest hall.

And when they were about to finish a cup of tea, Mo Chen and Mo Shui came. So when Qai and Shu Wei saw the pair coming, they quickly stood up and bowed their heads.

"Please, please... we are very much indebted to you..," Mo Chen said as he gestured his hand. "..it is I who should pay my respect."

Mo Shui, who was standing beside him, looked down and felt embarrassed. But the patriarch didn't beat around the bush and quickly showed them a skill scroll.

"This, Little Wei.." Mo Chen suddenly said, "ahem.. is a rare class sage grade scroll called 'Sludge'.. I thought it will be a perfect compliment to your set of skills... please take it."

Shu Wei had already equipped himself with attack and defensive skills. In truth, he didn't know what actually to buy for his first sage skill as he had been stuck in the Expert realm for a long time. And this 'Sludge' skill would undoubtedly solve his problem.

"This 'Sludge' is a control type Earth skill," described Mo Chen. "Once activated, the target will instantly be submerged into the ground—and its sinking effect is multiple times faster than a quicksand."

The father and son duo cannot believe what they're hearing. Their eyes almost popped out in excitement.

Shu Wei was shaking his hands when he received the scroll. He can no longer wait to get back to the inn soon to learn it—but he understood that he could not just shamelessly say goodbye after receiving practically two treasures from the Mo Clan.

He felt embarrassed to accept such gift but he knew the Darkwood Composite Bow and 'Sludge' skill scroll do not sprout anywhere like cabbages. They're definitely a must-have!

Looking at their faces, Mo Shui realized the uneasiness from Qai's father so she thought of something.

"Master Shu Wei.. ahhm.. why don't you try to learn the skill right now?" Mo Shui awkwardly suggested. "You can use one of our guest rooms.. it's the least I can do to thank you."

Mo Chen was elated with the idea as he nodded in approval and grinned towards Shu Wei.

The Mo Clan patriarch sent their guests, Shu Wei, Qai and Shandian, off just before sunset.

All three of them, thereafter, headed towards the inn delightedly as they felt they robbed the Mo Clan in broad daylight. And they finally completed their mission in the city.

In the room, Shu Wei and Qai found Jing and Bing still immersed in cultivation. But as soon as the twin realized that their masters came, they opened their eyes and cheerfully greeted them.

The group went down the main hall of the inn and had their stomachs filled while the father and son duo recalled to the twins what really transpired the entire day.

The twin were amazed with the story and looked at Qai as if they were seeing a hero full of admiration.

Thereafter they went back to their room after dinner.

Just before they spent the rest of the night cultivating, Shu Wei informed the group that they would have to head home the next morning. So he instructed them to prepare as they needed the strength to travel back to the plateau for the next three days.

Back in the plataeu, meanwhile, the rest of the Shu family members were eagerly awaiting for the return of their father and little Qai.

It had already been more than a week and they were excited to learn new their new skills.

Soon after, five silhouettes approached the entrance to the plataeu.

Shu Liang initially thought that their inn would have a large group of guests that time. So she immediately called her mother to greet the guests.

But when the group of five came, the two girls were shocked to see who were actualling coming.

"Ahh."

They were glad to see Shu Wei and Qai. But they were dumbfounded to see Qai's contracted lightning black tiger grew that big in just a week. And more, they were confused to see a couple of unfamiliar children.
