I Promise

"Seems he may just be a Mikaelsonon after all." Niklaus looked towards his brother with a sad smile.

Elijah ignored his brother even though he was surprised to see him he was more worried about the boy in front of him. "Survey the area brother," Elijah turned to Nikalus with a tone that left no room for discussion.

"Fine, I guess I'll give you the position of leader for this one." Niklaus vamp sped away looking around the area for others, he soon returned finding no one. "It's clear."

Elijah nodded as he returned his attention to the crying boy holding the body of his mother in his arms. Elijah slowly started stepping towards the boy but stopped when the boy turned his cold blue eyes towards Elijah his fangs extended in a threatening manner. Elijah focused his senses on the boy and he could hear it the irregular heartbeat.

Niklaus was aware that Vampires feel emotions on a much larger scale than humans so as he looked at his nephew he oddly felt sympathy. He looked at Elijah who's facial expression remained calculative but Niklaus could tell his emotions were fighting to reach the surface.

Elijah dashed towards the boy full speed ignoring the boy's cold eyes he pulled him away from his mother into his chest. The boy thrashed creaming as his claws dug into Elijah's skin, His fangs full elongated ripping flesh from Elijah's body.

Niklaus smirked as he watched his brother withstand the attacks of his nephew. Before long the boy passed out from exhaustion, seeing the death of his mother and killing the man who did it minutes later had left him drained mentally. The physical exhaustion came from thrashing around in Elijah's arms.

Elijah down at the sleeping boy in his arms "I wasn't there for 6 years, I've failed you as a father but from now on I'll be there. I won't fail you again I Promise." Elijah made a promise not like though's he made with acquaintances and enemies this promise held no loopholes.

"You're already shaping up to be a better father than our own," Niklaus spoke from beside Elijah.

Elijah ignored his brother as he made his way into the house not far from where the two bodies were.

The house was small once inside the front door you were in the living room, Elijah laid Elias down on the sofa. He looked down at his son once again, though things were currently bad on the inside he couldn't help but feel happy. Being a father was always one of his wishes, it was the one thing they all wanted whether they admitted it or not.

Elijah walked passed the sofa soon reaching a pathway to his right was a room that smelled of lilac, to his left was the restroom and straight ahead he could see into the room. Toys littered the room, Elijah entered finding a bed on top of it say a suitcase with an envelope on top of it.

Elijah stepped forward picking up the envelope 'creak', turning his attention to the doorway he found Niklaus leaning against the wall. Elijah ignored him as he opened the envelope reading out loud " Dear Elijah Mikaelson, If you're reading this it means I'm dead and you arrived just in time to take care of my son. His name is Elias Corvinus Mikaelson, named after you, take care of my boy."

Elijah folded the letter placing it into his pocket he looked towards his brother " She named him after me."

Niklaus stepped forward placing a hand on his shoulder " A new Mikaelson had joined our family we must protect him."

"We need a car brother."

"I'll get one, I'll return soon." Niklaus vamp sped away searching for a car.

Elijah walked back to the living room as he watched his son sleep, listening to his heartbeat calmed Elijah down.

Soon Elijah could hear a car pulling up outside so he vamp sped into Elias's room grabbing the suitcase he appeared outside opening the trunk. He vamp sped back inside gently picking up the sleeping Elias he walked outside, Niklaus was holding the backseat door open.

"Thank you, Brother," Elijah spoke before climbing in the back seat allowing Elias to rest his head on his lap. Niklaus smiled closing the door behind Elijah he walked around the car humming a tune before entering the car.

"Where to Brother?" Niklaus turned his attention to Elijah waiting on his answer.

"Mystic Falls, we need a witch we can trust." Elijah once again looked down at the sleeping Elias as Klaus hit the gas.

Minutes Later

Alexandra's house.

After Elijah and Klaus left, Alexander and a group of witches appeared, Alexander frowned looking at the body of his now-dead daughter. Leaning down he moved the hair covering he face, "I hope you know what you're doing." He sighed knowing he couldn't stop his daughter from going through with this crazy plan of hers.

"Collect her body, clean her up and place her in the family tomb, have someone watching her at all times, even she herself doesn't know when she'll return to this side," Alexandra spoke to the group of witches.

"Sir it seems things didn't go as planned." A witch said pointing to the body of the werewolf. "How can he control his shift." the witch asked out loud.

"It doesn't matter," Alexander walked up to the body inspecting the wounds. "These wounds were made by a kid, one with no experience in killing. He saw it," Alexander breathed out thinking of his grandson. "He saw it all and anyone in that situation would attack, especially someone with enhanced abilities." But this man isn't a werewolf, at least not the kind the witches know of, no this man was turned by a Lycan most likely Marcus's doing. He shouldn't have been able to kill her Alexander continued to think in his head. Unless she released her Alpha abilities to Elias before she was attacked that would surely slow down her healing and allow her to die.

"7 years, in 7 years the world will see a Corvinus as they've never seen before." Alexander frowned wondering if allowing the Mikaelson's to raise his grandson was a good idea.
