Etan and rip off deals

This couple months Azar , learned how to speak, write and read the unknown language, while helping the farmer. He also made a pretty decent body for just a few months. He also got some clothes that was fitting with the rest of the people lived in the village. He also made a couple of coins helping more farmers than his friend Amiudas, the farmer that was so interested in Azar.

Amiudas was the kind of person that loves other cultures, so it was only normal to be interested in someone with so weird clothes and accent. Amiudas asked from Azar to teach him his language, Azar wasn't surprised by that and taught Amiudas English.

When he was ready to leave he said goodbye to Ami , that's how he was calling him, and left for a city. The closest city was Etan. It was famous for the hospitality. Ami also gave Azar a horse as a gift of his gratitude, for helping his village. Ami was also the village's chief, that's why Azar became popular, also the reason how he got fast all the recommendations for work..

The currency was some small, red, crystalic coins. *Ami said that those are made out from the hearts of the monsters, those monsters live in dungeons or in some not populated places, like big forests and deserts. Those who are killing monsters for living are in guilds, not like those in games, these guilds was like banks and the only way of making money was from killing those monsters.*

That was some of his thoughts while he was traveling but the moons, three pieces of one moon actually, was rising and the sun was getting lower and lower. Ami informed Azar that this roads had many incidents of bandit attacks so he searched for a place that was well hidden and not this much of hidden that could be the bandits ambush spot.

Azar was trying to use magic. He was able to use it but for seconds and with no actual result. He was able to use it because of the blue apples. They were mana fruits. Those who couldn't use magic could possibly try one of those. They called it the willing challenge, if you eat one of those fruits, your body reacts with the big portion of mana and you would either gain a mana core from the apple's core or make a big explosion of pure mana and destroy everything in 15 meter radius.

Azar was so socked when Ami told him. ({ <-- this means flashback, that Azar is thinking about.) {As soon as I recovered after some days of high fever and a couple of weeks till I was able to understand Ami.

"Congratulations about passing to the world of magic, Az.". I was very confused in the beginning but Ami explained the Willing Challenge to me.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I COULD POSSIBLY BLOW YOUR HOUSE IN THE AIR!"

Ami broke into laughing with my face that I thought he was making some fun out of me. But he was serious about it.

"If I go and eat again some of the apples I would gain some more mana?"

I said full of hope that I would be able to use magic without too much pain.

" If you eat more than your amount of mana you have to pass the exam again with fewer possibilities of passing." I was lucky enough to pass the first, I didn't want to explode.}

While thinking of this, he found a place to rest, he left his sleeping bag between the two rocks that was covering him and had a good rest. He woke up safe and sound with his money untouched. *Everything is in the place I left them, now back to the road.* He packed everything back ride his horse and continue his travel.

He reached Etan after 3 days and 2 nights. The city was very different than his imaginations.*Wow, i thought that the city would have walls guarding it, with guards at its entrance and that kind of staf, instead this city is well guarded with no walls. Well, I didn't expected that its hospitality would reached this level.*

Etan's architecture was with the same stone that the richer farmer had because the stone could keep the warmth in and the cold out.

He found a town guard and spoke to him for information.

"Hello, I'm Azar, may i ask some questions."

"I see! Welcome traveler. You can ask anything."

"Thank you."

* Crap what am I supposed to look for*

"So this is your first adventure. I can understand it from your face. Well let me give you a tour around and give you some information about our Etan. You see, I used to be an adventurer like you, then i took an arrow to the knee. You see our city is well known for its hospitality. That's why we have many inns you can stay, I would recommend you The Wishing Night, it is a little expensive but its service is the best and because you are a traveler they offer you a 50% sale for the next month, it could be here at Etan or at other cities."

*Business is very developed in this world.*

"Next I would recommend you to go at the center for gear and essentials for you, how did you pass from Etan's road it's the exact opposite of the Etan, full of bandits."

"Thank you very much. Here take 2 coins for your troubles."

"Thank you very much, kind sir, Azar. Farewell."

*And as i said... Business in this world is very developed.Let's take care of the where I am going to stay, he called it 'the wishing night'.*

He found the inn, he went to his room and took a rest. *I started with 30 CC (CC:Crystal Coins.) the room cost 15 for a week, paid the guard 2 I'm left with 13 CC. I must find a job.*

When he rested enough he took a walk to the center of Etan. He bought himself some vegetables and a beef so he could make lunch, then he started looking for a job. He went to a blacksmith to check out the weapons but everything was too expensive. Suddenly a man with big hands and a beard came out and spoke to him.

"So you are interested in my work, huh?"

"You are doing an excellent work, sir."

*What am I saying! I don't know anything about blacksmithing, but it's a good opportunity to lower his prices.*

But life didn't work the way he was thinking and gave Azar a solution to another problem.

"Aha, a kid with knowledge, i like you, how about doing a work for me and i will pay you some CC, depends on how well you are doing your job. Are you interested?"

"Of course!"

"I like your spirit too, go at this place and deliver this sword" he gave him a piece of paper with an address. *A number? I don't know where this is. But it's a good opportunity to make some coins.*

"Thank you, if you are back in 1 hour i will pay you 50 CC, almost ¼ of the price."

"Sure!"

He turned his back to the 'big beard' he starting walking to a direction and as soon as 'big beard' went back inside he pulled out the piece of paper and started mumbling "Where have i seen this kind of number, there's something that's scratching the back of my mind, i know how to go there. It's a number with 3 digits. An address. That's right! Where is the map? Shit! I left it at the room!"

He run back to his room took his map opened it and checked it. *Ami, You are the best man i have ever met, thank you so much for the map of Etan.*

25 minutes passed and the address is very far from the inn. He climbed to his horse and started going to the address.

*A horse, is going with 88.000 meters/hour, that means that it's going with 1.467meters/min. My destination is somewhere near 30km that gives us 30.000meters,with my quick maths, i will do 21 minutes to reach the destination, but i have to go back to the blacksmith which is near 2km far from the address he gave me, that means 13 minutes. This bastard how could i make it in 1 hour when i am covering 35.000m/hour when i have to cover 40.000m in an hour. It is impossible to go back to the blacksmith on foot! BUT I WON'T LOOSE THIS CHALLENGE!*

The horse reached it's top speed passing through people, jumping stairs. He reached his destination in no time, delivered the sword and went back to the blacksmith in 59 minutes in total.

"Hey 'big beard' I'm back!"

"Ooh, so you like challenges and winning them too. Here you go, 50CC, as promised."

"Make 75CC because you fooled me."

"Negotiating after agreeing with the deal? You are lucky that i understand you because my master did the same to me. I like you very much boy, how about learning the art of blacksmithing, whatever you sell you keep all the money for yourself, but buying the materials by yourself. I will give you only a place to practice for free."

"Deal."

He took the 75CC and shook hands with the blacksmith. Went back to his room satisfied. But there was one thing that troubled him.

*I don't know anything about blacksmithing. How am i going to sell anything!*

Azar once again agreed with something that was unfair, but he found a way to make it work.
