1 The Unblessed

In a world full of magic, there is one living being, one human who wasn't born with magic.

His name is Amon Halon. He was cursed as a being who should never have been born.

Because every human in this world was blessed by a god, most of them by the god Niaz, the god of teeth. He hated his own existence, unable to use magic, and despised the gods who didn't bless him, as well as the entire world that hated him.

This human now stood on a cliff, roughly 16 years old. He had long, unkempt hair that was so dirty that despite being white, it appeared almost black as if he had soaked it in pitch. He wore tattered scraps of clothing and had his right arm cut off. He was bleeding profusely, but what puzzled him the most was that he was still alive.

"Come on, jump, you miscarriage! You should have been born dead!" a man shouted aloud. As if it was a signal, the rest of the group shouted together, "JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!"

"Why am I even doing this, fighting for my life? It has no meaning. I was destined to die anyway. I rejected magic completely. I hated it. But in the end, it doesn't matter."

Just as he was ready to jump, he heard a splash, as if something had been cut in half. He looked back and saw a being sitting on a mountain of corpses. The creature had four muscular arms that matched its equally muscular body and several tattoos covering its torso, taking the form of long, thick lines.

"Hey, little boy, you should think more before you do that, or do you want to see the face of that 'bastard' so much?" The being pointed at a tall man who wore a long black cloak with a hood covering his face. But what struck him the most was the huge scythe the man held in his right hand.

But despite witnessing all this, he felt nothing. "What have you done to me, and who is that asshole down there? And why am I feeling nothing?" He had no emotions—no hate, fear, depression, or anything else. He was just clueless.

"First, I used a skill to suppress your emotions, but don't be afraid. The effect won't last long. In about an hour, you will be able to feel all your emotions again." Amon wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing.

"Second, the guy down there is the god of death, Reaper." The being said all of that as if it was nothing and continued.

"But now, let's talk about you." The being's attitude shifted, as if it was something completely different.

"I am going to explain to you the reason why you are the way you are."
