76 What Is This Talking Dagger??!

After dealing with Lewis, Rem went back to her dorms.

'I need a new dagger! The weapons and items from the system's shop are too expensive..!' Rem complained.

She was currently sitting on her bed.

'Alright! I'll go on a shopping spree today! First, I need to buy a pair of daggers for me to use since my other one was shattered to pieces. Urg... I wish I can create weapons myself! Wait... Can't I do that? After all, I can create whatever I want thanks to my creation skill. I guess I'll try to see if it would work...' Rem imaged a dagger in her head.

A dagger appeared on Rem's hand. The dagger was larger and longer than her previous daggers Rem used. The dagger has a curved, pointy, sharp, silver blade with unfamiliar, mysterious symbols that were located all over the blade. The dagger's handle is black and even has a small blade that was located above Rem's fingers when she holds the dagger.

'The blade above the handle can help me block attacks from enemies when they try to attack my fingers. This design isn't bad but... What are all these symbols on it? I can't read them... Weird..! Is it not a language..?' Rem wondered.

'Oh well. I won't think about that for now. Come to think of it, this dagger's design looks pretty cool! Just like I imagined it to be.'

「Are you my new master?」

'What was that..?' Ren wondered.

「Are you my new master?」The voice asked again.

'Ah... What did I even create..? Does this dagger have a mind of its own???' Rem was slightly confused.

{You seemed to have summoned a powerful being.}

'What do you mean?'

{I'm not too sure either.}

「I'll assume that you are the one who has summoned me.」

'Yes, I suppose I am.'

「Please give me a name.」

'First, tell me who you are.' Rem demanded.

「Before you summoned me, I was in my soul form, trapped in a dark room. I couldn't move or do anything. I don't know how long I was trapped in there... Before becoming trapped, I don't know anything. Since you have summoned me, I will serve you as thanks for getting me out of that place.」

'I don't think you have a choice.' Rem stated.

「You are right. I cannot hurt you because you are my master. Even if I could hurt you, I wouldn't. You are my savior. I will forever be loyal to you.」

{That is true. You don't have to worry about it betraying you. You're the one who summoned it after all.}

'Oh... By the way, what is your gender? Or maybe you don't know?'

「I prefer to be referred to as a female.」

'Then your name will be Cynric!'

「Thank you, master, for granting me a name.」

'Please don't call me that. It makes me cringe for some reason. Just call me Rem.'

「Understood, Rem.」

'Now let's see Cynric's stats...'

'Shadow and light element? That combination isn't the best...'

'The two elements, shadow, and light are complete opposites from each other. It's just like how fire and water element users would avoid each other since water is fire's weakness while fire is water's weakness. If they collide, it won't end well unless one element is the same as the other element.'

「I'm sure you will wield these two elements well, mas– Rem.」

'I'll figure it out somehow... At least the dagger's durability is infinite. How come your level changed from one to ten?' Rem asked.

「I leveled up because you gave me a name.」

'Oh, I see. So your soul is in this dagger?'

「That is correct.」

'What happens if I die?'

「I don't know.」

'I was just curious. It's not like I'm planning to die anytime soon. I still hadn't gotten revenge yet. Alright! It's decided. I'll spend the rest of today shopping, trying to find good equipment. If I have time, I'll visit the auction. I feel like my growth rate is too slow. I'm still level 50 even after almost a month. Cynric, if I store you in my inventory, could you still talk to me?'

「Yes, I can. You are my master so no matter where I am, you can simply summon me. It doesn't matter whether I'm in your inventory or not. I can talk to you wherever you are, Rem.」

'How convenient. Now it's time to go shopping. I normally never go shopping because I find it annoying and I still do but it's necessary this time.' Rem stated.

Rem put on her disguise and jumped out of her dorm room window and got outside the school without anyone noticing her.

'002, show me the map.'

A map appeared in front of Rem.

'Time to blend in.' Rem thought, walking towards one of the shops that were marked on the map.
