42 Transfer Students

Karina knocked on Rem's door.

"Remie..? Are you awake yet?" Karina asked.

"Kiii!" Roy replied.

'What was that?' Karina wondered, confused yet curious.

The door was locked so Karina couldn't open the door. Plus, it would be rude for someone to barge in their room without their permission to enter. Karina waited outside for Rem, worried.

Meanwhile, Rem was still asleep. 002 has been trying to wake Rem up for the past ten minutes.

{WAKE UP!!!}

Startled, Rem finally woke up.

'What was that for???' Rem asked 002.

{You didn't wake up when I told you to wake up nicely. Therefore, I had to wake you up loudly.}

'Wait... What time is it?' Rem looked at her watch.

[8:11 A.M.]

'Holy!!!' Rem rushed to get ready.

{By the way... Someone was waiting for you and she still is outside. I believe her name was Karina.}

'What???' Rem finished getting dressed and gave Roy a few jerkies.

Roy gladly accepted them and chewed on the jerkies happily.

Rem grabbed her backpack and opened her door.

"Good morning, Remie." Karina smiled.

"Why did you wait for me?" Rem asked.

"I was wondering how you were feeling. Are you alright? You didn't seem too well yesterday." Karina asked with a worried face.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying about me." Rem smiled.

"I was wondering... What was that noise I heard inside your room..?" Karina was curious about what she heard earlier so she asked Rem while they speed-walked towards their homeroom, not wanting to be late.

'I don't think it's a good idea letting Karina know I'm keeping a dragon right now... It's too early. I'll tell her when I can trust her more.' Rem thought.

"What noise?" Rem asked, acting clueless.

"Hmmm... Maybe I was hearing things..?" Karina replied.

Rem and Karina arrived at their homeroom, right on time. They walked towards their seat and sat down. Just as they sat down, their homeroom teacher, Ms. Waruki, walked in.

"Today we have two new classmates. Please come in and introduce yourselves." Ms. Waruki said.

A beautiful girl with snowy, long hair that was up to her back and icy blue eyes walked into the room. Next to her was a boy who looked similar to the beautiful girl. The boy was handsome, had snowy short hair, and also had icy blue eyes. Everyone in the class stared at them.

"Hello! My name is Yukino. This is my brother, Yukio. We are both twins. Nice to meet you all! I hope we get along!" Yukino smiled.

Yukio didn't say anything. He just stood there.

"Yukio!!! It's rude to not greet others." Yukino's brows furrowed.

"Nice to meet you." Yukio bowed slightly to his classmates in cold response.

Yukino was satisfied and proud of his little twin brother. She nodded with approval. Everyone began to chatter and many were surprised because of the sudden transfer students who appeared.

'It's those twins I met a few days ago... I guess they're my classmates now..? I didn't notice it before but I can tell they're hiding something.' Rem thought.

"Your introduction was short but that's fine. As you may know, I'm Ms. Waruki, your homeroom teacher of class 1E. Anyway, see these two empty desks in the back? Please sit over there." The homeroom teacher pointed to the two empty seats next to Rem.

The twins walked to their seats and sat down.

Many people were disappointed that none of the twins sat next to them.

"Rem and Karina, if you don't mind, please help the twins get used to the school." Ms. Waruki said.

The girls nodded.

"Hello!" Yukino greeted Rem.

Yukio just stared at Rem.

"Hi..." Rem replied.

"You may talk after I take attendance but keep it down please." Ms. Waruki said.

Everyone who was talking shut their mouths. While the homeroom teacher was taking attendance, Rem activated her Eye Of Truth skill and looked at both of the twin's stats.

'She's a princess and he's a prince??? Wow...' Rem was shocked when she saw their roles.

'Wait... So half-humans have roles and jobs?' Rem asked 002.

{That is correct.}

'I see... They're hiding their ears and tail. This is a human school so I understand why they would do that. Any race other than a human would be treated differently here...' Rem thought.

After taking attendance, Rem introduced herself since she and Karina were asked to help the new transfer students. Plus, Rem didn't feel any ill intentions from the twins and wanted to help them either way. She was curious about what has happened to them the other day.

"I'm Rem. Nice to meet you." Rem said.

"Karina..." Karina said, glaring at the twins.

'What's up with Karina today?' Rem wondered.

"Nice to meet you. You probably know who we are but We'll introduce ourselves again. I'm Yukino and this is my little brother, Yukio. He doesn't really like talking much so please don't mind him since that's just how he is. Nice to meet you too." Yukino said.

"Yukio." Yukio bowed slightly at Rem and Karina.

'What if these twins take Remie away from me..? If Rem has them, she wouldn't want to be my friend anymore...' Karina thought, sadly.

'I won't let them take away my friend!!!' Karina glared at the twins.

The twins noticed Karina's glare and wondered why she was glaring at them with hatred.

"May I see your schedules?" Rem asked.

"Sure." Yukino handed her and her brother's schedule.

"Luckily, we have the same class for every subject. That's convenient. I guess that's why the teacher wanted us to help you. For each class, you guys can follow us. When it's lunchtime, we can eat lunch then show you around the school. I'm quite new as well so Karina will be helping too. So far, I know some parts of the school." Rem said.

"Thanks!" Yukino smiled brightly.

Rem and Karina walked to their next class with the twins following them.

Morning classes were over and it was now lunch. After eating, Rem showed the twins where the library was while Karina only followed them. Before they knew it, it was already time for another class.

Classes finally ended for the day. The four went to their homeroom again before dismissal. One homeroom was in the morning while the other one was after all the classes. After taking attendance, the teacher asked the twins to follow her to their dorm room. Rem and Karina said goodbye and they both went back to their own dorm room.
