65 Starim Academy's Infirmary

While Rem went to the infirmary, the other members of Ver decided to train some more in the training room.

'Today's the last day of Winter Break and the tournament starts tomorrow... How tiring..!' Rem thought as she walked towards the infirmary.

"It's you guys again??! What did I tell you? Stop getting into fights!!!" An unfamiliar voice yelled.

'So loud...' Rem thought, knocking on the door.

The yelling came from the infirmary.

"Come in." The same voice said.

Rem entered the infirmary. In the infirmary, there were 8 beds, 4 on the left and 4 on the right. The beds were all located in the back. In the front of the infirmary were a large medicine cabinet and a huge deck with a wheelchair. Although the desk was organized, it seemed messy since there were so many things on the desk. There's also one large window in the back of the infirmary room.

"Now what are you doing here? I've never seen you before. Are you even supposed to be here?" A woman in a white jacket asked.

'So she was the one who was yelling... What a rude way to ask things...' Rem thought, looking up at the woman.

The woman wore a white jacket that looked similar to a lab coat. She has wavy brown hair and a pair of dark blue eyes. She sat on her wheelchair, looking at Rem with an annoyed face. An injured boy with dark hazel hair and light brown eyes sat on the bed next to the desk.

"I came here to rest. You've never seen me before because I've never seen you. We just simply never met until now. To answer your last question, if you're asking if I'm supposed to be in the infirmary, probably not since I'm not hurt anywhere." Rem answered sternly.

"I meant... Why are you in this school? Did you somehow barge in or what..? Hm... That doesn't seem to be the case. You can never get past the security in this school anyway. How did you get here?" The woman asked rudely.

"Excuse me but I am definitely a student from this school..." Rem replied.

The boy who was full of bruises stared at Rem curiously.

"What's your name and class?" The woman asked Rem.

"Rem, 1E." Rem said, sighing about the fact the woman didn't believe her.

The woman paused to think for a while then picked up the telephone, beginning to dial a number.

"Yes?" A familiar voice said from the telephone.

"Someone named Ram who stated that she was in class 1E, is in the infirmary right now. Is she from this school?" The woman asked politely.

'She said my name wrong..!' Rem thought, furrowing her brows.

"Do you mean Rem? Of course, she's from this school! Don't underestimate her by her looks. She may look small but she's unexpectedly strong for someone her age. She's our school's youngest student!" The voice said proudly.

"What..?" The woman muttered, clearly displeased.

"Why is she in the infirmary? May I talk with her for a minute?" The voice asked.

"Of course, ma'am..." The woman glared at Rem and gave her the phone.

"Hello, Mrs. Caden." Rem said, taking the phone from the woman.

"Didn't I tell you to call me Fania?" The principal asked.

"Yes, I know but I can't do that... You're the principal of this school after all." Rem answered.

"I guess that can't be helped. Anyway, I heard you're participating in the tournament! I just heard recently that you're the leader of the team and my son is in it."

"Yes, that's correct."

"Why are you in the infirmary? You're not someone who gets hurt easily, I assume."

"I was forced by my other group members to go to the infirmary to rest just because I had a slight headache earlier..." Rem sighed.

"I see. I hope you get well soon. his year's tournament is going to be really unique..!" The principal said, trying to show any excitement but failed to do so.

"It's probably going to be like any others."

"No, I'm sure it's going to be different this year! I've got to get to work now. See you tomorrow!" The principal said, ending the call.

"You... Just who are you???" The woman asked.

"I'm Rem." Rem replied, not understanding why the woman asked her this question because she knew she has already told the woman her name.

"Yes, I know. I meant..1 Urg, whatever..." The woman grunted.

"Ms. Smith!" The boy called.

"What??!" Mrs. Smith asked in an annoyed tone.

"I need a few bandages." The boy said.

"Michael! Stop getting into fights!" Mrs. Smith yelled.

"You're just mad about how you have to do more work because of me..." Michael muttered.

"Just give me a few bandages and I'll get going!" Michael said.

"Fine! Take these and begone already!!!" Mrs. Smith threw a pack of bandages at Michael.

Michael caught the pack of bandages with his right hand.

"Thank. You." Michael replied in a slightly angered voice.

He walked out of the infirmary.

"Well, bye Mrs. Smith." Rem said quickly, exiting the infirmary after Michael.

"How troublesome!" Mrs. Smith yelled grumpily.

"Hey..!" Rem quickly caught up to Michael.

"Oh hey. That teacher is always like that. that's just how she is. Don't mind her..." Michael stated.

"Yeah, I can tell..." Rem replied, walking next to Michael.

"Where are you going?" Rem asked.

Normally, Rem would never interact with anyone but she was bored and couldn't do anything else since her other group members would keep on nagging her if she were to go back to the training room.

"Meeting up with the other members," Michael answered.

"You don't mind me tagging along..?" Rem tilted her head slightly.

"I mean if you want to, sure. I'm sure you've heard bad things about me and how I always get into fights. Part of that is actually true. I'm just warning you if you're going to follow me... It's dangerous if you know what I mean." Michael said.

"It's fine. I have nothing else to do anyway." Rem stated.

'I'm acting strange... What's wrong with me?' Rem wondered.

"Alright, if you say so..." Michael shrugged.
