First Night Disaster

'What else is she thinking right now?' Dion thought as he sighed and looked back out the window.

"What are you doing there?" asked the woman with silver-black hair as she watched her husband.

"Can't you see I'm sitting up? I don't want to sleep in the same bed with you. I'd rather sleep here."

"Oh good, I don't want to sleep in the same bed with you either. If possible not in the same room," Jillian said and sat on the side of the bed while crossing her legs.

"When you're sleeping, it'll be easy for me to push you down from there and you'll die from falling from a height."

Dion's red eyes glanced at Jillian then turned his head. "Just do it, that way you'll be widowed and banished from here,"

"Better that than me being in a marriage relationship with you." Jillian lightly flicked her collar as she was feeling quite hot. It allowed Dion to see Jillian's chest clearly.

Realizing that Dion was watching her, Jillian immediately covered her chest. She said that Dion was a perverted man who kept looking at a woman's chest.

Dion didn't bother with Jillian's ramblings, saying that there was nothing wrong with him doing that, after all, they were married and Jillian was his wife.

"It's my right as a husband to see whatever my wife is covering up," Dion replied, looking out the window again.

Hearing Dion's words made Jillian think that what Dion said was true. They were already married, but this marriage was not something they had hoped for.

"Then you want to see everything, hm?" Jillian got up from the bed and walked over to Dion as she lifted her nightgown slightly to reveal her upper thighs.

White thighs that looked so smooth. Jillian smiled playfully at Dion, Dion sighed and looked into Jillian's eyes. "Too bad I'm not interested in such things, so your seduction won't work on me,"

"That's because you've never tried it, right?" Jillian forced Dion's hand to touch her thigh.

Dion was surprised when her hand was pulled away and placed on Jillian's thigh. He could feel the softness of her skin. Dion reflexively pulled his hand away which made him almost fall out of the window. Jillian quickly caught Dion by the collar and pulled him back in.

"That was close.."

"It was because of you! Pulling my hand away to touch you. Do you really want me to touch you that much?" Dion was annoyed.

"Huh?! You're blaming me for that? You're the one who's weird! Just like that you're freaking out. I'm a woman!" Jillian retorted. "Wait... Or... You're actually interested in..."

"Don't talk like that. I'm still attracted to women, but not annoying women like you." Dion pushed Jillian's forehead away with his finger quite hard.

He lay down and pulled back the blanket. Seeing Dion's reaction like that, Jillian could only sigh.

'Right... Keep hating me. Don't make this marriage change later.'

Since it was already eleven o'clock at night, Jillian decided to go to bed. She climbed onto the bed and pulled up the blanket and closed her eyes. Hoping that the whole day would pass quickly without her noticing.

At exactly midnight, the guards were making their rounds to make sure nothing bad happened in the palace. The servants also quickly finished their work so that they could rest that night. While they were busy with their own work. They faintly smelled an unusual scent filling the palace hallway.

A smell like sandalwood that made the whole hallway feel so sleepy, let alone their tired bodies after a day of taking care of such a big wedding party. One by one the guards fell asleep in the hallway, as did the servants. When no one was on guard, a man in a black robe walked past them. He walked slowly through each room.

He opened the room where Dion and Jillian were sleeping. Slowly, the man entered the room and walked over to those who were sleeping. The man watched Jillian for a moment. Before he finally turned around and looked at Dion.

He didn't realize that Dion was actually still awake, but he pretended to be.

'Who would dare enter this room?' thought Dion.

In his left ear, Dion could hear the sound of a sword being pulled from its sheath. The man intended to kill Dion.

Reflexively when the sword was about to hit him, Dion woke up and avoided the man's attack on him. However, his stomach was cut by the sword the man was holding.

The mysterious man immediately used the opportunity to attack Dion again, but Dion was able to avoid it again. He picked up a small table nearby and smashed it at the man.

BRAK!!!

The man staggered slightly as his head hit the table. Dion immediately kicked the man away from him. The commotion immediately woke Jillian up.

"Huh, what happened?!" she asked in surprise.

Seeing Jillian awake, the man jumped from the window and left.

"Hey, wait!"

She tried to chase after him but he had already left. Dion sat on the floor with his breath taken away, he couldn't see the man's face because his face was covered by a cloth, only his eyes could be seen. Dion held his stomach which was bleeding again while whimpering softly.

Jillian turned to Dion in surprise.

"Dion?!" She went over to Dion and helped him to lie down on the bed. "He hurt you? Hhh... I'll get a servant to treat you," Jillian said, walking out of the room.

But there was no one outside. She ran down the hallway and slowly she smelled a familiar scent. Coupled with the servants and guards lying on the floor. "The smell of sandalwood... Someone put them to sleep..." she muttered softly.

"Hey, wake up! Heeiii!" Jillian patted a maid on the cheek but she didn't wake up. She realized that the scent had been mixed with something that would make them not wake up anytime soon.

"Who is that person? Why did he do all this and... Never mind, the important thing is..." Jillian ran back to her room.

She found Dion who was still moaning in pain while holding back the flowing blood with her hands. "Take off your clothes, I'll treat you," Jillian said as she pulled a suitcase from under the bed.

"Ukhh... Where are the servants?" asked Dior.

"They were asleep, someone paralyzed them on purpose and came here to attack us. There's no time to talk about that, I need to treat you first." Jillian took off Dior's clothes and saw the cut on Dior's stomach caused by the man.

Not only that, but she saw a lot of scars on Dior's body. Both on his chest, abdomen, and both hands. It was like someone had intentionally done that to him.

"Don't look at anything else, just focus on the wound," Dion said as he averted his eyes.

". . . I know."
