a hushed silence fills the air a deep elegant voice fills the air thank you, Jane, and thank you for the muffins too would you like to come inside we're still unpacking but we can fix you some tea yes sir I can stay for a bit I made plans with my friend Synthia for lunch but we can stay and chat for a bit

he welcomes Jane inside a strange coldness fills the air, the neighbor starts to put the kettle on the stove and put the heat on he then sits down at the table where Jane was sitting and while they were waiting for the water to boil they started to get to talking

he started to say my name's, William by the way we kinda skipped past that before in response Jane said oh I'm so sorry I hope you don't think I'm rude William put two cups on the counter Jane thought that this was weird because she never saw him get up in that short interaction but she had never been the most observant so she dismissed it

"so what made you want to move to the middle of nowhere, "Jane asked William responded "the mountains"

suddenly there's a hissing whistle sound the kettle was boiling and the tea was ready I have a few muffins a talk with William over tea he asks for my recipe so I give it to him it's not like its a secret or a family tradition I then realize how late it's getting I need to leave I had lunch in an hour I told William that it was nice to meet him but I had to go so i left and i went on my merry way
