The Boogeyman

Glenn refused to bite me and wished to die, but I wasn't letting her off the hook the easily. I shoved my hands down her mouth and forced her to bite me good.

After a while, the air was filled with dust and police van appeared to put off the fire. Man hunters filled the streets and our ghoulish community were out of sight.

"There he is! Rafael said and tapped Theodore. They all turned to see me, walking down with Glenn on my back.

"who is she? Rafael asked as he approached me. I looked at him and Theodore, then kept walking into the hide out.

"My sensei".

I sat on a chair waiting for Glenn to wake up. I had defeated her brother and forced her to recover. I planned to add her to my squad or at least gain information from her. As I sat still, staring aimlessly at the door. I heard the creaking sound of the bed, I looked to see Glenn, turning. She paused and glared at me. I offered a brief smile which was immediately rejected.

"You saved me? She muttered and got up.

"Indeed. You taught me how to fight and defeat the likes of your brother. Thanks to you I have achieved that, now I need you to teach me to defeat blue bird". I said in a cold voice and looked back at her.

"impossible". She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"will be made possible". I snapped immediately.

"Blue bird is a boogeyman. He has a high regeneration rate, faster and most effective. You're dead meat against him". She snapped back.

"I laid a solid cut on him that last time". I said and looked away.

"Yeah but this time, would be different. I mean, he almost killed you". Glenn scoffed and let out a throaty chuckle.

"I can win and I will". I said and got up to leave.

"Anyways am fine by the way". Glenn snapped in and bit her lower lip, avoiding my gaze.

"I know". I scoffed and reached for the door.

"is this coffee? Glenn asked and pointed at it.

"Yes! I muttered.

"Who drinks coffee? She said sarcastically but I didn't laugh. I simply reached out to the coffee on the bed desk and handed it over to her.

"you do". I whispered and walked out, slamming the door behind me.

"wait? Glenn ordered and I retraced my steps back in the room.

"Blue bird is the boogeyman. He is another of Yumeko's sick experiments, that's why no one can ever defeat him. No even Rin or Me, only Yumeko herself". Glenn said and took a sip of the coffee. She hissed and smirked her lips. She gave it a second shot and it turned out great as she licked her lower lip.

"Sorry about Rin" I murmured and she looked up at me. "I guess I couldn't save him from himself". I continued but she didn't respond.

"there's no reason to be sad. You saved my life, for that I say Thank you". She muttered and smiled warmly. I smiled back with a lit up face and closed the door.

I greeted Rafael and Theodore on the way out the hide out. It was just like Yumeko's layer but it was underground, down in a sewer. The environment naturally could be seen as a damp but on a second thought, Yumeko can never find me here. We abandoned our home and thought it best to be here, laying low in the shadows.

I made my way up the road and out an alleyway into streets. I wheezed and shivered as it was another cold morning. I walked down the road, sighting the chirping of birds and playful sight of children.

"the boogeyman, is blue bird". I muttered to myself as I arrived at the café. I wasn't scared of him, not even Yumeko. I was ready to defeat them all. From the name the boogeyman, it was clear that Yumeko usual sends him on missions like this.

I stepped into the café and waved at Gilbert to get me a nice coffee. I sat at the high stool opposite the counter and let out a smile as last night's mission was sweet and the results were credible. Currently, now Yumeko would be panic because she had lost one of her stronghold, No! two of her strongholds. I grinned as the tea was handed down to me.

I shove a teaspoon of sugar into it and stirred it, the creamy goodness came alive. I smiled and I guess even Gilbert could see that I was happy. He chuckled and I looked up at him.

"Guess everything went great? He asked and lowered in to hear a response.

"Uh huh". I said with a nod and cautiously looked around.

"Happy for you". He remarked and I scoffed.

"Get me an oatmeal will you? I ordered and he snapped immediately.

"Yes captain". He laughed and wandered off in the shop. I chuckled shortly after and raised my tea cup to drink.

I heard the door of the café creak open, the bell rang and a strange figure appeared closer to me.

"Huh? I gasped as my eyes slid down to catch the person who entered. Expecting a costumer, it was a familiar face. It was Blue bird and before I could even make a move, I saw him reach for his coat. The inner leather, pulled out the strong that led to an explosion.

I was sent sky high and crashing into a wall, the café was destroyed and a slow walking Blue bird was in sight. I struggled to get up but my vision blurred as I felt the explosion might have injured me badly and led to my sudden unconsciousness.

"Blue bird?I mumbled lowly as I tried to move.

"Time to pay.
