"How clever, you figure it out all on your own. See told you he was brilliant". Yumeko said and clapped for joy. "You bet". I replied with my face in the plate. "I knew you would love it, it's the perfect meat for the perfect…ghoul". Yumeko said and had me dropped the fork and plate, my eyes widened in confusion and regret that I must have misheard. "That's right, the reason you love the meat, why it's so tender and juicy in you mouth, is because it's the one meat we ghouls love the most…The human flesh". She muttered and both our eyes went red at the same time, the sauce was like a cooked up blood and spicy. I had my right eye ache as it turned thick red. Yumeko leaned over and gave me a passionate kiss, licking the blood off my lips unto has. "just wonderful". She whispered to the sweet tenderness of the meat and blood.

I was in the shower after the dinner humiliation, I just washed up and the events earlier this evening keep playing in my head. The words of Yumeko and her creeped smile for the thrill. I grumped and pulled my trouser over my legs. Certainly, Yumeko did say something about her being the princess of ghouls and that these crew or gang of ghouls would be nothing without her. She ran the sixth ward division and had perhaps a few dangerous names to her squad. The ghoul community pledge their loyalty to her and fought by her side, well not exactly all the ghoul community. A few drifted apart to form their own gang and union. But I can quite assure you that Yumeko's ghoul community was the baddest ever. "Aogiri Tree", it was a ruthless and very strong ghoul community, with a fearsome leather, Yumeko. They are way ahead and dominating in numbers, skillful fighters and resources.

It wasn't like they were in only ones in town, groups like "Six nine" and "Clowns" were also there, causing riot in the city. Six nine especially always competited and tried to bring the Aogiri tree down but have failed on several attempts. There might be other small scale gathering of groups, relative and friends but they mostly went into hiding from the larger group like Aogiri and Six nine.

Either way, the battle between Aogiri tree and Six nine ghoul community met a backslide as the Tokyo ghoul investigation division, introduced their well trained and highly skilled corps. "Man hunter". The man hunter are basically humans with extra-ordinary fighting skills, specialized in the use of any weapon, guns, katana, knifes and even sledge hammer. Their weapons were forged from Kagune of ghouls they caught or killed. Their use ghoul Kagune to strengthen their weapon and add special techniques to it. The techniques could electricity, poison or so. They were masters at catching and exterminating ghouls, best to avoid them. The man hunter program is the reason Tokyo residents barely know a thing or two about ghouls.

The government believes that if the residents of Tokyo knew about ghouls, they would freak out and probably turn on one another, leading to chaos. So I was an Aogiri tree member huh? The man hunter's worst enemy next to the six nine. The man hunter have division caught across every ward in Shibuya, Shinjuku etc. They mostly are dressed as office men, in cooperate suits for office workers and carry a silver brief case containing their weapons. Some rumor has it that even in the man hunter program, there are men who are seem extremely dangerous than others, well skilled and you wish never to come across.

I sat in front of the tall looking mirror and tried to arrange my white mess up hair and at the same time grab my things, stuffing them into my clip lock back. It was like a side bag wore by college or high school students, I used it to get by day to day. I stuffed my cutlery knife in there before taking a deep breath. I opened my eyes to look at my own reflection. "I know what I have to do". I muttered as I stared into my reflection's black eyes as though I could see into my own soul. I plot to escape, to run away from this fortress and go back home, even though I don't at least be out of here and not pay home age to some punk. But how? How can I escape a place this huge, guards might be sheepishly looking around for enemies.

I sat down to think for a moment before getting up and moving to the door. I cracked it open, no one was there or footstep heard. I sneaked out the door, eyes up and down for cameras before moving a bit further. Tip toe, tip toe, up and down, until I reached main hallway. Just as I suspected, guards were there. Standing and perhaps conversing, I need a break away and immediately thought of jumping from the window downstairs. I looked down to see and empty grease land, letting out a smile to the perfect plan. There was no guard in sight when I land, but the only problem is that, how can I jump when I could break a leg. The thought of me regenerating a limb felt strange as I haven't seen it happen before. I groaned as it felt like an obstacle, but it was worth the shot. I flipped my back down, nice and easy. Climbed up the wedge and let myself down, I landed on my feet and cheered for a bit of joy.

Attaching my body to the wall as though I was the wall itself. I moved over, underneath the front balcony. I could hear chattering, it was Yumeko conversing with a ghoul. Perhaps Run or maybe some one else. They talk about a huge ghoul trade or something but I didn't care less, my top priority was leaving this place. I rushed down and into the bush, waiting for the top watcher to look away. I ran like a wounded lion running for his life, at halted at the sight of a ghoul. The gatekeeper, he stared at me for a while as I glared back at him. Immediately he must have interpreted my movements really quick an understood that I was forcing myself out to an escape. He wanted to sound an alarm but I knew I had to do something about him. I remembered how I rush at him with full speed, swing my knife in his face. He dodged it quite easily and shoved me backward with his Kagune. His dressing was quite the same as mine but instead of a skull head, it had the diagram of ribs in the front. His Kagune was blue in color and he patched on a mask which covered his face. It was one of smiley face mask you see in the movie theatre, his Kagune was brought out from the spine of his body and wrapped itself around his right arm to form a spring with a sharp cutting edge blade.

I stopped to catch my breath and wonder if it was really worth it. Between letting him ring the bell and get caught or having to fight a death match with a supposed well trained soldier. From his looks, you could tell he was a "Foot trooper". The foot troopers are like the main army force and soldier, who got fight the war for the ghoul community.

I shaked my head and shave the thought off my head, I can do this. He could be a two eye ghoul, but I am a one eyed ghoul. It could work, I could beat him. I went in for a second surge and successfully came out on top, using my knife swing to distract him before using my Kagune to wipe him to the gate. He apparently lost consciousness and I slipped the gate key off him and that's how I got out.

Using a found bicycle to ride my way down hill with barely any location or Google map, I kept paddling, over and over again. Lost and lost and lost, until I pulled up on a quite familiar path. Was I still in Shibuya? Yes! Just a bit far off from my usual locale. I pulled over on a bike and stopped for a breather. It was probably 3:00 am in the morning, because the day still look damn dark. I let out a long sigh of relief as I could tell that I would be home before sun's up. "Hey! Nice bike, where'd get it? A voice called out and I turned to see a man with a brief case, offering out a heart warming smile. "Huh? I grasped as I couldn't quite understand him. "Where'd come from? I asked looking around to see any getaway passage for him to have come from. There was none since we were on a bridge. "Why ask that? I should ask you where are you coming from, by the time of the night". He asked and pulled in a bit closer. I glared at him, he wore a cooperate shirt and trouser, having a long cloak white jacket and in his hand a silver case. He look a bit suspicious with his pointed nose, dull eyes and scared face. He was munching on a tooth pick, which means he came from an early open eatery or something. "Just on my way home, Sir! I best be going now". I snapped and got on my bike immediately. I thought It was best to play it safe with him and make a possible run for it, without showing my fear at all.

I grabbed the handle and had my feet on the paddle, when he muttered something. "leaving so soon. You know I could tell…" he paused and stared into my eyes and the shared a cold smirk "when I see a ghoul". He snapped out immediately and I felt my feet leaving the paddle of my bike. I was up in mid aid, away from the edges of the bridge as he kicked against my stomach so hard, that I was thrown up in the sky. As I gushed over the harsh kick, I got to see the daredevil smirking down on me, he swirled his body over and knocked me down with a kick, I blocked it with my hands but the force had me

crashing in the ground.

I got up to look at him, he landed with his legs and lifted his body up to stare at me. "You're the one eyed ghoul, ain't ya?
