11 THE BLUE MENACE

Musutafu, Japan.

An 8-year-old, green-haired, Midoriya watched the news with wide eyes. His best friend, Ka-chan, had strangely told him to turn the TV, to the hero news channel, saying that it was important to see 'what heroes are up against'. Since then, Midoriya had watched nearly the entire situation with Morgan beating back villains, along with the 'official' introduction of 'Blue Felon'. Well, he should be called Genie now.

To say that he knew what he was expecting, would be a complete lie. Even Bakugo had his mouth hanging open during Genie's self-introduction. When the sky started changing colors, Midoriya had run to the balcony window, only to find that the sky was indeed changing colors with each drum beat from Genie. Yet, despite Genie's overwhelming display of power, Midoriya found him laughing at some of his stupid jokes.

"I'll take that MENANCE down after I become a hero," Bakugo stated, but if you looked closely at Bakugo's eyes, you could see that his eyes were sparkling while looking at Genie's electric guitar skills.

Both the boys froze after they saw Genie pull All-Might out of his hat.

"Ka-chan... " Midoriya questioned his sanity.

"HMPF! SHUT UP I'LL KILL YOU!" Bakugo's face blushed from embarrassment.

Seeing the current number 1 hero being manhandled like a child, made his declaration from earlier sound ridiculous.

"How many of him are there?... Is that the Statue of Liberty doing the moonwalk?!" Midoriya exclaimed.

"Deku shut up!" Bakugo yelled in response.

Finally, Genie's introduction came to an end, with a grand and epic final display of all the Genie's big and small singing the final verse together. Midoriya's mother, who unbeknownst to Bakugo and Midoriya, clapped excitedly from behind them. Apparently, she had also started watching at some point, but they hadn't noticed.

"Ah~ That felt much better" Genie's voice came from the TV.

Midoriya, who now knew exactly who Genie was and what he was capable of, couldn't help but laugh a bit seeing the humane actions of him cracking his neck. Midoriya felt excited! If what Genie said in his song was the case, maybe if he found a token like Morgan Monty, he could fulfill his dream of being a hero!

"Now listen up folks, 'cause I'll only say this once. I'm long passed the issue of forced wish granting. However, there is one exception." Genie's voice came from the TV again.

"Normally I have rules, I don't like granting certain wishes. And I don't like adults because they are boring. However! I decided to make my new game a bit more interesting. Let me reiterate! I don't do this for anyone by myself!" Genie clearly pointed to a picture of himself on the chart behind him.

"I infused a single unrestrained wish in this token in my hand. I can't control what it grants and neither can the person who uses it." Genie explained on the TV.

"It will grant your deepest desire. There are no limits." Genie explained.

"Now! Where and how can I get this wish Genie?! You must be asking."

"In 3 days, I will be releasing the single greatest game ever made. A little place I call, The Genie-Verse. And only adults above the age of 18 can enter."

Genie showed a picture of what looked like a world with a giant tree at the center of the chart.

"Be warned, you have one life inside the Genie-Verse. So play well." Genie said, smiling.

"And finally let me address the elephant in the room," Genie said, glancing at a large elephant behind him.

*Elephant noises*

"No, not that elephant!" Genie exclaimed, poofing the elephant away.

Midoriya's mother laughed happily from behind the boys at the silly joke.

"All of your agencies, hidden societies, villains, and schemers who are hiding in the cracks of this world. I want to address you." Genie smiled.

"You want my power? Go find it. Here's your chance. But you only. get. one. chance." Genie stated slowly.

"I declare the age of the pirates- I mean the age of the Genie-Verse! Started!" Genie laughed happily.

Then, the news hero channel switched back to the original studio, with the newscaster blinking awkwardly. The newscaster then began to talk about what had happened, but Midoriya and Bakugo couldn't hear him. Midoriya had already excitedly run into his room, grabbing his notebook, while Bakugo said that something had come up back home, and left quickly. Both of the boy's blood was boiling with excitement, as with many of the others who had seen the broadcast.

It really did seem, that there was a new era coming, where even the quirkless could participate. And the entire world, had its attention captured by a funny blue Genie in New York.

...

CIA Headquarters.

"I want our new stations to handle our public opinion! Make 'Blue Felon', into the greatest villain our world has ever known! The entire world is held captive to do as he wants." The CIA director ground out in frustration.

He had to admit that 'Genie' had made a good move. Not only had he made a statement to villains and organizations like theirs about the absolute power he held, but he also showed he would protect the Morgan, boy. He even took it a step further and redirected any further attempts to control him or manipulate public opinion against him incredibly difficult. What kind of fool would choose the path of most resistance to try and fight Genie? When he had in fact provided a path to even match him in power through his so-called 'greatest game ever made'?

Many organizations would choose to focus on finding the wish in the game, rather than try and kidnap, or force anyone to be a hostage.

"A good move, but you also gave a pathway to power to anyone." The CIA director sneered.

...

Inside an underground laboratory, an Undisclosed location in Japan.

"Ha haha HAHAHA! AMAZING! What is this feeling?!" A deformed human man laughed happily watching a TV.

"A new era! This one was boring anyway. HIS STYLE! HAHAHA~. THIS IS A TRUE VILLAIN, HE ARRIVES AND THE WORLD ADAPTS." The man continued to monologue and talk to the empty air.

"What must All Might be thinking? Hahaha. Ahh~ I haven't laughed this much in years. I should tell little Tomura, we should make changes." The man monologued to the empty air.

...

U.A. High School, Japan.

"I really couldn't do anything at the time." All Might scratched his head sheepishly.

"Hmm~" Nezu hummed while looking out a window quietly.

"I hope to meet him, one day." Nezu smiled suddenly, a big and excited smile.

"Why??" All Might questioned.

"I had long forgotten how great it feels. The thrill of competition. The lure of adventure. It is no less enticing than heroics." Nezu stated softly, taking a sip from his cup.

All Might shook his head.

"But don't you think the world is in chaos now? Genie turned the world upside down! Who knows what the game he made will add to this." All Might stated, walking to stand next to Nezu as they both looked out the window.

"Sometimes, a world needs a little shakeup to get it going in a good direction," Nezu answered.

Nezu kept most of his true thoughts to himself. He was smart, no that would be an understatement to say that he was just 'smart'. His quirk [High Specs], made him a world-class genius. And because of it, he knew just how rotten the current world was. Public order was only held together by a single man, The Symbol of Peace. Such a system was destined to collapse at one point, so what the world really needed was a reshuffle.

What Genie presented, was a unique opportunity. One where very few lives could actually be sacrificed for such a reshuffling. Nezu took another sip from his cup.

'I'd like to thank you one day.' Nezu thought to himself, thinking of Genie.

"Can you hold a press conference and give the world your thoughts? We need to reassure the public." Nezu asked, looking at All Might.

"No problem!" All Might smiled his signature smile and gave Nezu a thumbs up.

...

Due to the press conference later that day, Genie gained another moniker: The Blue Menace.
