Through Birlin

Magnus looked around to see if there was an opening he could slip through. He saw no alleyway or street he could take to get to the Government building, so he decided to meet the army which was barricaded on his left and right head on.

Magnus whipped out his grease gun and sprayed a shower of bullets on the barricade blocking the street to his left. He did this to cover himself as he ran across the road to an alleyway that was a dead end.

Waiting for the Deutsche soldiers to fall into his trap, he got on the ground, and aimed with the riot shotgun. magnus' plan of action was to lure the Deutsche soldiers into the alleyway and blast them before they could hit him.

And it worked. Magnus shot over and over again as the Deutsche soldiers ran into the alley way just to get torn up by some lead pellets.

This worked until Magnus ran out of ammo for the shotgun. Ready to switch up his strategy, he shot his way out of the alley, fighting for every inch of ground.

Magnus shot and shot, and had to reload, but he didn't have time to. The Deutsche had him surrounded. Outnumbered and surrounded with only the alley behind him, Magnus threw down a canister of tear gas that he had found in the Police Station.

Covering his face with his sleeve, Magnus darted out of the effective area of the gas and put a fresh magazine in the small automatic weapon. He was ready to shoot again, and he did, wildly shooting his ammunition at the Deutsche on the left barricade as the wind carried the gas to the right.

By this time, Magnus had already put over 30 Deutsche men out of commision, and was going to increase that number, but his gun jammed.

The Deutcshe men hiding behind their fortifications stood and shot at Magnus as he tried ot figure out what was wrong with the gun. Deciding that it was too inefficient, already being at the end of his second magazine, Magnus dropped the two guns that were strapped to his back and around his shoulder, and ran.

Magnus sprinted, no weapon in hand and no friends to help him. Magnus ran up to the turned over tables and wooden spike lines and jumped over them and continued running.

He didn't have to look back to know he was being chased, but it was more likely than not Magnus would outrun them. However, it didn't matter if Magnus could outrun them, because he had to deal with the Deutsche men in front of him.

Magnus decided it was time for a turn in life, so he ran left at the intersection before the other barricade. Magnus was feeling the adreneline course through his body as he saw the dents being put in the road and the whizzing caused by missed shots.

Magnus shouted aload, "Alright, Amicus! Where's the Government building?"

Amicus shouted back, but only heard by Magnus, "You need to take two lefts and one right! It'll be right there!"

Magnus shouted, "Thanks!", and picked up his pace. There was no one to brand him crazy except for the Deutsche soldiers. All of the citizens scrambled indoors as soon as they heard the gundshots from the police station.

Magnus ran down the cobble streets and took a left. Then he took another left, as he was instructed. As soon as he got to his right turn, he was surrounded by Deutsche soldiers.

A bullet whizzed up to Magnus and struck the ground by his feet. That was a warning shot. Magnus did not take the threat seriously, and ran again. He slipped past a gap in between two guards in what was an otherwise solid encirclement.

Magnus was in the clear now. Luckily enough, the hole was at his right turnm so things worked out well there. What wasn't working out well was that Magnus had no weapons to use to coerce the Deutsche into surrendering. He had no weapons, but a pair of scissors.

Magnus had worked at a barbershop and had good experience with scissors. He would often fool around with them, twirling the pair of blades on his finger, and cut himself through some means of screwing up the twirl.

Having plenty of experience with the blades, he ran into the government building. Magnus pushed someone who was exiting the building back inside, and locked the door. The man, who was flabbergasted at being pushed so rudely, was suddenly put into a headlock and had a pair of scissors put to his neck.

Shouting in Deutsche, Magnus said, "I want to talk to whoever is in charge here!"

A man walked down a flight of stairs on the right and said back, in English, "And what would you like to speak to me about?"

The man was tall, with grey hair and a grey uniform on. His icy blue eyes gazed into the depths of Magnus' soul.

Magnus, having been thrown off by this, had a slip of the hand, and accidentally cut the jugular of the hostage.

The man said again, with an even more commanding presence this time, "What would you like to speak to me about?"

Magnus was shaken to his core. Never before had he been intimidated like this, not even by the General. He mustered his courage and stepped forward, saying, "I want you to surrender to the United Provinces of Columbia. Unconditionally."

The man started laughing, and kept laughing. Everyone in the room was thoroughly confused. Why was this man demanding a surrender? Why was the Secretary of Military laughing so hard?

"Kid, you amuse me. I will oblige you, if you can beat me in fisticuffs."

Magnus was eager to end the war. "Yes! I will accept your offer!"

The man took off his shirt, revealing a white tank-top undershirt. Magnus did the same, but he had no undershirt on. This was a match for the ages, a match of shirts and skins. They both squared up, and went at it!
