Western Tragedy, the World at Loss

While the West was busy arranging things in order, countries around the world were still counting the human loss of the attacks in the West from days earlier, as the confirmed death toll from the carnage mounted.

The massive task of pulling corpses from the charred and twisted remain of the Department of trade has so far yielded a fraction of the thousands of bodies believed to be trapped inside the buildings rubble, leaving distraught families clinging to the hope that those missing might yet be recovered.

The West has so far given no official estimate as to the total number of dead in the rubble of the Dept. of trade but the City authorities say more than four thousand are missing.

The figure includes about two hundred fire fighters, over one hundred and fifty Port Authority Workers, fifty five Police officers, and thirty five employees of a building management company. The total which includes the one hundred and fifty five passengers and crew known to have been on board the two airmobile which exploded in huge fire balls on the upper floors of the over a hundred storey building that accommodated the Western Dept. of trade.

The city Police Commissioner, said one hundred and fifty two have so far been pulled out from the wreckage of the Dept. of trade, ninety two of them have been identified.

The Department of Defense said one hundred and twenty five people who worked in the Western military headquarters remain missing. There were reports earlier that the airmobile was carrying sixty four passengers and crew when it slammed into the building.

ARG. said two of its nationals were missing.

AUS. Said three of its nationals were confirmed dead. Another 90 who were in the vicinity of the Defense Dept. at the time of the attacks were unaccounted for.

BAN. Said at least fifty people were killed in the department of Trade, where many worked.

BEL. Said sixty of its nationals present at the time of the attack, including four workers were missing.

BRA. Said five of its nationals were missing.

BRI. Said nearly a hundred of its citizens were confirmed dead. Foreign Secretary said the total number of deaths is unlikely to be less than the middle hundreds and maybe higher.

CA. said three of its nationals people were confirmed dead and between fifty and hundred were still missing.

CHL. said one of its nationals is missing.

CHI. said three nationals died and another was missing. A man and a woman both in their sixties, died aboard the aircraft that was sent into the side of the Department Of Defense. A 41-year-old person was missing.

Two citizens of Col. died on one of the four hijacked air mobiles. The Col. Red Cross said hundred and sixteen others are missing.

DEN. Foreign ministry said around seventy of its nationals was unaccounted for.

The Dom. Rep. said three of its citizens are missing.

EGY. Said one of its nationals was confirmed dead and at least three others were missing.

EL SAL. Said one of its citizens died on one of the four hijacked air mobiles and eighteen others were missing.

FRA. Said a small number of its nationals working in the Trade Dept were unaccounted for. A foreign ministry Spokesman said none have yet been confirmed.

GER. has compiled a list of more than seven hundred nationals missing since the attacks, but a foreign ministry Spokesman said the actual number was much lower and the list of missing persons was rapidly shrinking by the hour.

IND. said one of its citizens died on one of the four hijacked airmobile and another of its citizens was missing.

IR. Said four citizens have been confirmed dead including a woman and her four-year-old daughter who perished aboard one of the air mobiles that hit the Trade Dept.

IT. Said between sixty and seventy were missing. Most of them worked in the Department of Trade or lived in the area. The foreign ministry said few tourists were believed to be among the missing.

JAP. Said two people died on the hijacked airmobile and that another twenty two who were in the Department of Trade were missing.

MEX. Said eleven of its nationals were missing in the attacks of the DT, according to the consul in the West. The Consul said hundred and fifty citizens worked in the Department, though media said hundreds more worked in the lower levels and in the immediate vicinity.

A network of community organization said as many as five hundred Mex. are feared dead in the collapsed towers.

S.A. media reported that a 41-year old man living in the West died aboard the first airmobile flown into the DT, while two other men who were in the building around the time of the attacks were missing.

SWT. Said four of its citizens were killed; two on board one of the airmobile that was smashed into the DT building, and another two who were in the vicinity were missing.

TUR. Said about two hundred and fifteen people were missing. About five hundred nationals worked in the Department of Trade. A total of two hundred and ten of four hundred and twenty five citizens originally reported missing have been found alive.

The attack affected the World at large, so it is not only up to the West to fight against terror-minded people because the whole world is at loss of lives of citizen from countries all over the world.

The World Supports The West

World Security Council threw its support behind West and called on the Eastern ruling militia to immediately and unconditionally hand over the torment-king. The worlds call came just as the opposition redirected that the West will launch bomb raids against the militia in the next few days.

The Western president emphasized that the war against terror-minded people was not against the torment-king alone but against terror-minded people everywhere.

The West in its path has designated the torment-king as the prime suspect in the deadly attacks on Department of Trade and the Military Headquarters near the capital. Nearly six thousand people are feared dead in the attacks.

There is one and only one message the Security Council has for the country hosting the torment-king. It is to implement World Security Council Resolution 02223 immediately and unconditionally, ambassador said.

The resolution, adopted on Dec 18, 2000, demands that they turn over the torment-king and close torment training camps on their territory. The council imposed military, political and economic sanctions to force the country to expel torment-king that is said to direct a global terror network.

The councils fifteen member passed a resolution that Intensely condemned the terror strikes in the West and called on states to work together to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and tried.

In its preamble, the resolution recognizes the right to individual or collective self-defense, which would allow the West to launch Military reprisals without requiring an explicit green light from the council according to diplomats.

Meanwhile, the country called for volunteers willing to fight a war against the West to register with the authorities. Of course, if there is an invasion of a country, there will be a war against the invader, a senior official of the country said.

Speaking from a headquarters on top of mountain at, 80 kilometers north of the country, the top official repeated call by the countrys opposition for the West to provide support for them.

There are things, which we can do, we are fighting one enemy, we know what they are doing, our forces could act now to put pressure on them in different areas of the country, he said.

The countrys ruling power yesterday gave its clearest signal yet that it is ready to face a massive Western military attack rather than hand over the torment-king.

As more than 1,000 ministers from all over the war-ravaged country began considering the fate of the torment-king, a defiant message from the militias supreme leader dampened hopes that they would agree to extradite the man suspected of orchestrating the attacks on the West.

A man said the torment-king would not be extradited without clear evidence and dismissed the Wests allegation against the militant as a pretext to wage war against them. We have a true way of life and our enemies and those against us believe that we are their enemies, he told the ministers.

They are trying to finish us on various pretexts. One of their pretexts is torment-kings presence in our country. The tough signal came as groups in a neighboring country stepped up their opposition to a pledge of co-operation to the West and the Western embassies began pulling out the families of their diplomats and non-essential staff for fear of unrest.

The countrys most important council yesterday issued an order calling for a war against the West and its allies if they attack the country. The council has called for a war against the West and its allies if they attacked because the attack will be an act of torment, the council said.

On the diplomatic font the Western deputy secretary of state was in the largest Eastern country, sounding out the countrys readiness to co-operate with the West if they plan to lunch reprisal strikes on suspected torment-base.

They expressed readiness to share intelligence information about the possible location of the torment-king, but the precise extents of the countrys co-operation remain unclear.

In the West, the aircraft carrier, WS Slant was to leave port along with an escort of over ten warships and a unit of marines capable of conducting special operation, according to the Western navy.

A statement did not give the carriers destination, but an official said the carrier had long been scheduled to deploy to the sea, and claimed the departure was a normal eight months rotation

Two other Western carrier battle groups, led by aircraft carriers WS Intel. and WSS Casual are in the ocean, Navy officials have said.

This is getting more interesting, thought Max as he yawned and stretched. He walked to the table close to the window and faxed an order for a meal, after which he returned to his comfortable position and got lost in the book he was holding in his hand

The World Mourn For the West

Much of the world fell silent in a show of solidarity with its Western allies, sharing grief and anger at the attack on the West.

Traffic ground to a standstill as the great bell of B. Ben above the house of parliament struck 11.00am local time. To mark it, the Rulers, Prime Minister and the Western ambassador, at a special service of remembrance at the Cathedral.

Across the channel at the same hour, the bells of Not Dam rang out at noon. The capitals underground trains halted as passengers joined three minutes of silence on a day of mourning, called to coincide with a national day of prayer being led by the Western president.

I felt like I had to do something, said a man outside the Western Embassy, where many people wept as they paid their respect. I came here to support the West.

Similar gestures halted life throughout the continent, from Westerns former cold war adversaries in the east to Westerly land, proud of its transatlantic family ties, where business, shut for the day and pubs kept their doors locked.

The father of Christian Dom retreated to pray in his summer residence. Her Majesty, who broke a vacation in disbelief and total shock, joined the Prime Minister at the cathedral, where the Western national anthem, was sung. Her husband, the Prince, read a lesson. Newspapers printed page-sized Western flags for readers to display.

A huge crowd of twenty thousand conscious of debts owed to the West during the cold war, joined the leaders in an event, the wall once stood. Special events were held by officials of the Atlantic Treaty alliance, whose other members have pledged to stand by the West if it goes to war against the still unconfirmed attackers.

In the darkest days of the Mid-Western history, the West stood close by us and today we stand close by them, president of the Mid-Westerns executive commission, had said earlier.

These terrible acts of torments were also directed against us all, against open, democratic, multicultural and tolerant societies, leaders of all fifteen Mid-Western states said in a statement.

It went quiet, too, on financial markets, where many workers lost colleagues in the hijack attacks. The fluttering of flags at half-mast broke the silence as Dutch daily life took a pause. The large Eastern country had observed mourning for the victims. I feel scared and very angry, said a woman who joined subdued throngs in. Everywhere, people stood in silent solidarity with those in Christian churches, in offices or city streets.

This tragedy has hit us all, said a spokesman. A country repaid a debt for the Western help in breaking the siege of the capital in the mid 1990s: The least we can do is to honor in this way the West that helped us, said the spokesman, laying flowers at the Western embassy. Some Western residents and visitors stranded by the flight ban imposed after the attacks on the West said they were touched by the outpouring of goodwill from Mid-Westerners. I think it is wonderful that nations across the world, are observing this silence, said a woman, in St. Peters square.

It was a moment of great solidarity with the West. I wont forget this, said a woman from the West but others were concerned that, for all the genuine horror, many people uncomfortable about Western policy in the Mid. East, are less enthusiastic to see a military response they fear could harden hatreds between the West and the some people in the world. Hopefully it goes deeper than a one-week token deal. If push comes to the Shove, I hope the North will still stand where military action is concerned. A close but often critical ally; said during a memorial service. Our humane, political and functional solidarity does not deprive us of our sovereignty and freedom to make up our minds.

Proud of Special relationship forged in two World wars, he told parliament that they would help punish the unknown enemies who carried out the hideous and foul attacks.

There were attacks on the basic values in which we all believe so passionately, and the modern civilized world, he said. Silence, but also music, marked the sober mood. At St. Pauls and Ely see Palace, People sang a Western hymn of hope; Above the tumult and the strife I hear its music.

We all felt need to sing, said a person working at the commission. We have to keep on singing.

The Torment King

Labeled one of the most significant financial sponsors of extremist activities in the world by the Western State Department, has been linked to many major barbaric attacks and initiatives in recent years, including the Departments of Trade bombing, plots to kill a Western President and the leader of Christian Dom, and attacks on Western troops. He also has used his millions to sponsor terror training camps around strategic locations, sending Warriors to incite revolution and fight with fundamentalist forces across North Africa and way beyond.

Born in 1958, Torment-king is the seventeenth of fifty two sons of a wealthier construction magnate. Country resources remember him as an ordinary young man whose terror-minded nature began to emerge when he grew to fascinate with the ancient projects that his familys company was involved in rebuilding.

In the 1980s he left his comfortable home to participate in a war against the large Eastern country, a cause that, ironically, the West funded, pouring $3 billion into the resistance via the intelligence Department. He became a leader and a regional hero, but was careful through out to distance himself from Western influence. The war cemented a hatred of the West and radicalized torment-king politics.

Afterwards, he declared the ruling family insufficient and increasingly advocated the use of violence to force movement towards extremism. The government went against him and he went into exile, but was expelled from the country five years later, under Western, Northern and Eastern pressure.

Torment-king is said to personally control western currency of about three hundred million of his familys five hundred billion fortunes. His role as a financier of terror activities is pivotal, experts say, because he has revolutionized the financing of extremist movements by forming and funding his own private terror network.

He has devoted not only his own fortune, but his business acumen to the cause, and through an indefinable network he calls, the foundation, for which sources say runs money through companies in the United States, Europe and the Middle East the powerful recluse has funneled money into the promotion of terror causes around the world.

Terror-Minded People Who Wreaked Havocs in the West

Terror-minded king: the man, intelligence officials say is the head of the attacks, is in charge of a terror network that is believed to be targeting the West and its allies since the early 1990s. Torment-king who has been on the nation's ten most wanted fugitive list since 1999, and the Western states department has offered a five million reward for his arrest. He is a fundamentalist and the son of a billionaire.

His anger with the West stems from the 1990 decision by his country of birth to allow the West to stage attacks. After the Western victory, their military presence became permanent.

Western prosecutors say he is the leader of the Base, a worldwide network blamed for both successful and failed strikes on Western targets. There include the millennium-bombing plot, the attack on the WSS Mole and the nearly simultaneous bombings of the Western embassies. In an interview with the torment-king in 1997, he said the ongoing Western military presence is an occupation of the land of the holy places. He left there in 1991 after feuding with the countrys monarchy, taking an inheritance worth an estimated two hundred and fifty million with him.

In 1996, he issued an order, a ruling urging people to kill Western troops and a second in 1998, called for attacks on Western civilians. He began forming his network in 1979, when he went to fight the soviets alongside resistance fighters.

He used his familys connection and wealth to raise money for the resistance and provided them with logistical and humanitarian aid, and participated in several battles in the war. As the war drew to a close he formed an organization of other supporters, channeling fighters and funds to the resistance. Once they pulled out, he returned home to work for the family construction. He became involved in groups opposed to the reigning monarchy.

The government stripped him of all his assets in the country. He is believed to be at the center of an International coalition of radicals. His network has forged alliances with like-minded fundamentalist groups, according to the Western government. His organization also has ties to a Group, led at one time by the cleric serving a life sentence for a thwarted plot to blow up various Western landmarks. Two of the cleric leaders sons joined forces with torment-personified.

The West allergies that from 1992, he and other members targeted the Western military forces in his country of birth. In October 1993, 18 Western Servicemen involved in the Western humanitarian relief efforts were killed during an operation. Their bodies were dragged through the streets.

He was indicted in 1996 on charges of training the people involved in the attack and in a 1997 interview; he said his followers, together with the locals, killed those troops. On August 7, 1998, eight years after the deployment, a pair of truck bombs exploded outside the Western embassies in some African countries.

He has denied responsibility, but prosecutors allege his culpability is evident on forces sent by his cell to at least three international media outlets. They also point to incriminating statements by certain alleged embassy bombers who admitted being his members. Fourteen days later, on August 20, the Western president ordered cruise missile attacks against suspected terrorist training camps and a pharmaceutical plant.

He survived the strikes and was indicted by the West on charges of masterminding the attacks in November. Four of his alleged supporters were convicted of the bombings on May 29, and sentenced to life in prison. Several suspects are in custody awaiting trial.

The man who pleaded guilty to a failed plot to bomb the Western international airport during the millennium celebrations leading up New Years day 2000 claimed he was trained at a camp run by the torment-king, where he said he learned how to handle hand guns, machine guns, and rocket propelled grenade launchers and how to assemble bombs made from the explosives TZT and C3.

The terror inclined people believed to be at the heart of the evil plot and all the others were linked to him. He rented a car found at Rogan airport and had a country passport, believed to be false. He is thought to come from somewhere in Northern part of the continent located in the heart of the world. His last homes were in the West and he had flight training at two schools in the West.

Family members of a group, who the intelligence Department believes helped hijack one of the airmobile used in the attacks, said that he spent some time recently in the country accused of concealing alleged terror - king. In addition, some authorities said hijacking suspects all attended the same Technical University, at about the same time.

One is believed to have been in control of Flight 93 when it crashed into the Department of Trade. One studied electrical engineering while the other studied urban planning, the authorities said. They also lived in the West, where they are believed to have taken flight lessons, Sources said.

Terror may have been common in international politics, but there is nothing inevitable about it. Something gave birth to terror as the ultimate in political violence. It feeds on something, its goals are very real, and dubious though the means might be. It is easy to locate terror-minds and gun them down, but as long as the situation that gave birth to them in the first place are not addressed, a hundred more take anothers place as soon as he goes down.

We must all rally behind the West in this her darkest hour, we must stop asking needless and irrelevant questions and support whatever the Western president and the Congress decides to do in response to the terror challenge, we must trust in President infallibility, said a presidential aide.

Breaking Last Moments of Victims

That day, the Tome of chronicles may have to redraft the Worlds account. Mental illness that has been prophesied would characterize the end time has begun deep exhibitions. Wars, rumors of wars, Nations rising against nations, brothers killing brothers, blood bath everywhere and the West grieves, while the world grieves with her.

This catastrophe is slowly sinking down on the nation that it really occurred to them. Wrecks in the cities. Destruction and uneasiness. The merriment that has characterized the civilized world has been replaced with grim dead bodies that raise no amusement. They breed weeping; distresses and the West were in pains. The dead imaginably would not rest in peace until evenhandedness is done. Household and associates who got the distress calls from their dying kindred would not disremember in a hurry. Only retribution, appropriately carried out would ease those that mourn.

Countless have been audacious, observing with anxiety while the rescuers dig the big carnage, searching for the remains of the dead and hoping a few more would still be discovered alive. Human fragments have become a regular sight. Some remain alive while some parts of their being are missing. Others are dead with their body parts undamaged. The West could not understand. Indeed no one would comprehend the madness of a century.

A woman stood watching while rescuers search for her missing husband. He might have died, but hope for a miracle kept her going. Who knows, he might be found still alive. Sometimes she wished she could give a helping hand. Perhaps her love for her missing husband would work a miracle. He is in pains and I cant help him, she choked on her tears. I cannot find anybody from fire rescues and seven squads, replied Western fire Commissioner It is a devastating thing. The fire department will recover, but I dont know how.

Even while some wished for a miracle, they knew deep down their loved ones are gone. Many victims made agitated phone calls during their last moments, hoping to get support and love from their loved ones while they crossed over to the great beyond. A man heard there had been an incident at the Department of Trade, and immediately checked his answering machine for word from his wife. He heard a simple, heartbreaking message from his wife, who was trapped on the 101st floor. It is me, I just wanted to let you know I love you and I am stuck in this building. An airmobile hit the building or a bomb went off. We do not know, but theres a lot of smoke and I just wanted you to know that I love you always. And that was it. He has not heard from her since, and he has been desperately looking for a way to get to the location from his bay Area home, because commercial air traffic has been stopped since the attacks, he has had no way to get to the disaster scene.

The toughest thing for me right now is that I cannot be there, he said. An airline offered to fly him and his brother to the city that was attacked. They landed the international airport on its next available flight, and they hope to arrive tonight.

In the meantime, however, friends and family have been calling hospitals and passing out fliers with picture on it. They have not heard anything about her whereabouts or condition.

A man phoned his wife from Western Airmobile flight 93. He said he was going to die, but he wasnt going quietly. His adrenaline was going. He was talking quickly, and he was ready to do something. Using his cell phone, he called her three times before the aircraft crashed 80 miles southeast of the West.

An executive with a pharmaceutical company said three men had taken control of the airmobile. The father of three said a terror-minded person had stabbed to death one person on board, and that the attackers were threatening to detonate a bomb. She told him about the attack on the Trade department.

He was fighting to come home. He had every intention of being here that night, she said. I pleaded with him to please sit down and not draw any attention to himself, and he said No, no, they are going to run us into ground. We have to do something, she said. At a Church; family and friends gathered after news of the disaster spread. I draw comfort from the fact that I know he didnt go down by giving up, his wife said, He certainly went down fighting.

In the city that was attacked, there is a line of human grief persons after persons, holding pictures and handbills, waiting to report their loved ones missing. With little information and fading hope, they assembled at a National Guard Armory, anxious for any news about survivors of the attacks. As they went, fliers on walls and streetlights around them plead for information about one young missing man. It reads, referring to the missing mans employer and office location. The family has been e-mailing media outlets, asking for any information.

A man was near the top of the building when the attacks occurred, was on the 105th floor. His wife received e-mail from him just 20 minutes before the first airmobile hit, she has heard nothing since. He has two beautiful little children, 4 and 5, waiting to hear something about daddy, his sister said. They are so scared His sister-in-law said, we hope that we find him and we love him and we miss him, and my sister wants her husband back.

He was waiting for news of his 31-year-old daughter, she worked on 94th floor. I just hope somebody finds her, he said simply. She has three daughters at home and they miss her.

A man clutched a flier with a picture of his wife; she worked on the 103rd floor. Even bad news would be better than not knowing, the father of three said. It is better than making the kids wonder and everyone else not knowing, as not knowing is driving us insane. As he waited and cried, he urged those around the nation watching the disaster not to take their loved ones for granted, Appreciate them. What else can you say? Appreciate them. Appreciate what you have.

A man wanted to take one of his two daughters to her first day in preschool, but he had to go to a meeting on the 102nd floor. He would help anybody, his brother said, with tears from his eyes as he waited in line. I hope he thought about getting out, but he wouldnt leave anybody there, if he could help somebody.

They were young, and in love and planning to get married, this year happiness turned to terror after the employee with an investment firm on 104th floor of one of the buildings, went missing in the commotion. With tears streaming down her face, 24 years-old lady spent two desperate days searching hospitals, shelters, and grievance centers. She, her friends and her parents put up hundreds of posters with his picture and information. He called me after the first blast to tell me they were being evacuated, but I have not heard from him since, she said. I know hes going to come back to me she said. Im not going to lose hope. At one point, she came to the studio to check footage of survivors that some thought might show a glimpse of her missing fiancé. He was not among them. The last 24 hours have been a living nightmare that I just want to wake up and come out of, she said. I just wish I could reverse and tell him how much I loved him and how much he meant to me.

He called his mother from the same airmobile, 15 minutes before it crashed, a man said, mom this is me .He gave me his last name, he was so rattled, said his mother speaking to NEWS West from her home. The 31-year old public relations executive, apparently using the air phone built into his seat, said three men had taken over the aircraft. I told him I loved him, and it went dead. Only a trickle of information about the victims is coming in, but that trickle threatens to turn into a flood as more bodies are recovered and others are rescued.

A former Federal Prosecutor and wife of Western Solicitor General, was aboard Western Airlines Flight 77. She called her husband on a cell phone to report that the aircraft had been hijacked and that at least two men had herded the passengers into the rear of the aircraft. She asked her husband what she should do. Shortly afterwards, the aircraft crashed into the Defense Headquarter.

With tears streaming down her face, 24-year-old stood near the rubble of the Western Trade Department, where her fiancé worked. Also 24 worked for an investment firm on the 104th floor of one of the twin towers. She said he called after the first blast Tuesday morning to say they were being evacuated. But she hadnt heard from him since. I know he is going to come back to me, she said. I am not going to lose hope. The high school sweethearts are engaged to be married soon.

Scores of others gathered near the disaster site and nearby hospitals, hoping for news of missing friends and loved ones. Someone looked for her brother, passing out fliers with his picture to rescue personal and the media. I love him very much, she said.

She was at the site hoping for information about her niece, who worked in the Department of Trade. She had called her husband after the first attack, saying she smelled smoke But the phone clicked off and that was the last anybody heard from her, he said.

Counter Terror Expert May Be Victim.

In an apparent tragic twist of fate, a former counter-terrorism expert who led the investigation of the attacks on the WSS Mole may have been among those killed at the twin towers.

He had recently taken a job as head of security for the DT. He was the lead investigator in the 1998 bombings of Western embassies, as well as the attack on the Mole in October 2000.

After leaving the site of the Mole attack, because officials feared he could have been a terror target himself, he had not been heard from since that morning. Waiting for word. Seven months pregnant and home with 3-year-old twins, is hoping her husband may have been among those already rescued.

Two friends who worked near her husband, at a legal information firm on the 104th floor of the DT, have been rescued, she hopes that bodes well for her own loved one. I am hoping my husband didnt have a wallet with him and hes with them, she said from her home.

One of the creators of the television show. He and his wife were also on the Airmobile Flight 11, which crashed with the first part of the building and there are many more. The air mobiles have begun releasing partial passenger manifests, and the grueling work of rescuing victims at the Department of Trade and Defense Headquarters.

The two main facilities handling casualties from the Department of Trade attacks, report a couple hundred injured and four fatalities, but experts say it is hardly good news. The low numbers show how little progress has been made in searching through the rubble for the hundreds, maybe thousands trapped underneath. Wall Street columnist said he learned that a friend had been killed in the attacks. Sending e-mails and making phone calls was like taking a breath, he said.

Tenants of the Department of Trade

Built in 1970, the Department of Trade housed more than 430 companies from 28 countries. They were engaged in a wide variety of commercial activities, including banking and finance, insurance, transportation, import and export companies, customs brokerage, trade associations and representatives of foreign governments. An estimated fifty thousand people worked in the Department of Trade, and another hundred and forty thousand visited the complex daily. Below is a list of tenants that had office space in the building and four other buildings in the complex.

Profile of Some Victims

A number of celebrities and business figures were killed in the attacks. Chief financial officer and Vice President of finance and administration of a communications firm, a manufacturer of optical network components and systems, was on flight 11. Two officials of the hockey team, director of pro scouting, and amateur scout were aboard Western Airmobile flight 175, the second airmobile to crash into the Department of Trade building, a team spokesman said.

Also on flight 77 was a University Professor. Creator and six times Emmy-winning producer of TV comedy show was with his wife on board Western Airmobile Flight 11, the first airmobile to plough into the Trade department.

They were returning from their summer home, where his brother said they had gone for the weekend to attend a family wedding. He was a kind and a gentle man with a quiet exterior that marked one of the sharpest comedy minds ever to write for television, co-producers said in a statement.

On the Western Airmobile Flight 77 that crashed into the Defense Headquarter was, a commentator and wife of Western solicitor General. She locked herself in a toilet and called her husband on her mobile phone to say the flight had been hijacked by more than one hijacker wielding box cutters and knives. He was a former congressional investigator and aide to senate minority whip, and was also known for writing a book.

Others who perished on Flight 11 included actress and photographer, widow of actor. Also on Flight 11 was, co-founder of a company selling technology to speed the delivery of Internet information. He attended graduate school and became an instant billionaire.

The Mysterious Survivors

Calamity is a hiking buddy with mankind. It has been so ever since ages, and so each and every time calamity strikes, it comes with a lot of death and devastation. Among the victims in any given catastrophes are the fortunate survivors who in most cases sustain several degrees of injuries. In some cases too, these survivors are wholly unscathed. They live to express the complete accurate story of happenings preceding the tragedy and how they survived finally.

This is the actual case of the survivors of the attacks on the West, which brought the building of Department of Trade to ruins and destroyed part of the Department of Defense building. Some of the survivors narrated moving tales of their mysterious and astonishing escape from the airborne holocaust that devastated the peace and vision of America.

According to a young Western lady who was a passenger in one of the aircrafts that crashed on the Department of trade building, the explosion of the ill-fated airmobile was deafening and puzzling. We heard a big bang, and then we saw smoke coming out of the building. Everybody saw smoke coming out and we saw ourselves at the other side of the building and there was smoke everywhere and people were jumping out of the window.

Everybody was jumping out of the windows and everybody just had to wait because everywhere was blocked and there was no way to get out and then I heard theres another aircraft hitting the building. You can see everybody is trying to get out! She narrated amid tears.

Another middle-aged woman survivor wept conclusively, pockets of tears streaming down her incredulous face as she said repeatedly. Holy father, protect us. Another middle-aged man who was among the survivors was completely struck with shock. He kept murmuring praises to God. Its about prayer. God is the only one as he walked tremulously on the Broadway.

A foreign citizen who also survived the disaster narrated his own experience thus. I just came out of the subway. I saw people running. I didnt see the building at the moment, just smoke. The police told us to move back to the Federal building and then I saw flames. I watched for a while and the building just came down. There must be thousands of people dead in there. I cant believe what I am seeing.

An employee of the financial services firm and one of the lucky survivors, it took more of her time, over an hour to walk down the seventy floors of the Southern building of the Department of trade after the first Sonic boom alerted her of the explosion. Almost in torrential tears, someone narrated thus. Everyone went nuts as the explosion occurred but they were quite disciplined. She stated that she heard a second deafening explosion as she descended the rectangular building that lifts more than four hundred and fourteen meters high.

As the Department of trade building towers tumbled down resulting from the raging inferno that had engulfed it, people were seen fire jumping in terror from the collapsing towers. Everyone including the police and fire fighters were screaming, crying and running. Ambulances screamed down from every major road in the city. Black and brown smoke billowed from every direction around the scene of the accident.

A 34-year-old Business executive and survivor, who was being evacuated from a meeting on the 82nd floor of one of the Department of trade, saw how people were severely burnt on the stairway. I tried to help these people in my condition but they didnt want anyone to touch them. The fire had melted their skin. Their clothes were tattered.

A 47-year old computer network analyst and survivor said he was on the 70th floor of one of the buildings when he felt something like an explosion rode it. He raced down seventy flights of stairs, and outside, in a mob in front of a nearby hotel. He was trying to calm a panicked woman when the building suddenly collapsed. It just got blown somewhere and then it was total darkness.

We tried to get away, but I was blown to the ground. And I was trying to help this woman, but I couldnt find her in the darkness, he said.

A woman said she was on the escalator heading for her 76th floor office in the DT when she heard a big boom. Everyone was going crazy. We all got out. The minute I got out of the building, the second building blew up. All this stuff started falling and all this smoke was coming through. People were screaming, falling and jumping out of the windows, she said.

One woman survivor however said she was in the Department of Trade looking out of the window when she saw the first airmobile and then 15 minutes later, she saw the other just slammed into the towers. Also, an African who had a few years ago been denied a job by a brokerage firm based at the DT, expressed happiness that the denial somewhat saved her life. They offered me a job but when they realized that I was an African, they changed their minds because they believe that we could not be trusted with the kind of information that they deal with, she said. The annual salary was 78,000. I cried for three days but resigned to fate and started looking for another job, she said, adding: At least I am happy to be an African.

As at Wednesday evening about nine survivors including six fire fighters and three police officers have been pulled so far from the remains of the hundred and ten storey department of trade brought down during attacks by unidentified terror-minded people. Two people, according to, a Western Mayor are trapped in the debris of the collapsed building. Two people among the trapped victims in the basement are said to have made cellular phone calls to their relatives to give them their locations.

West Set To Move in Ground Troops

As the Western jets and missiles pounded the country hosting the torment-king, the West appeared to be preparing to shift its war against terror from the air to the ground in the country. The Western Vice president alluded to the possible use of ground troops as the air war against the country entered its seventh day.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also hinted that the war was about to enter a new stage that might include crack special forces troops. As we said before, this will be a sustained effort and many of the conventional efforts that you see today are stage-setters for follow-on operations, he said. Some of those efforts may be visible, but many will not, he added. Western Special Forces were deployed in the region around the country shortly after the attacks on Western targets.

Officials have refused to confirm reports that the special troops are already on the ground in the country, but officials have reportedly said that they have been in and out of the country seeking intelligence data. With the regime under intense attack and with top Western military officials conceding that their jets and missiles are fast running out of good targets, the stage appears set for commando raids against the leadership.

The supportive Eastern country last week put two airports at the disposal of Western forces to ensure they can mount rapid search and recovery operations for Western troops or Captains, senior government officials had said. The emergence of the new case led to pharmacies and doctors in the West and elsewhere being inundated with demands for the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, which is used to treat anthrax. Frightened people had overwhelmed a Western pharmacy. We have lost a lot of the Cipro we had in stock and now we cant replace it, he said. Chairman of the medical department of Western University, said he had been swamped by requests for prescriptions. Every physician in the city is experiencing the same thing, he added.

Many major news organizations also stopped accepting new mails when it was revealed that a News employee tested positive for skin anthrax after opening a hate letter containing a mysterious white powder. The woman is reported to be making a full recovery after taking Cipro since as a precaution after she developed chest sores. The skin anthrax she contracted is much less serious than the respiratory form of the disease, which killed a photo editor at Western Media Inc.

A reporter at the Western times, who specializing in the Middle East and bio terrorism opened an envelope with the same, postmark that was on the envelope that contained anthrax. The times said the letter also contained white powder and carried threats against the Western President. The times newsroom was evacuated for several hours before health officials gave all clear. Law enforcement official said the intelligence agents were examining possible links between the incidents at affected media houses, where two other employees showed traces of anthrax spores but did not contract the disease.

We are looking at all those cases. We have not been able to link any one person or any case of terrorism to all three of them, the official said, asking to remain anonymous. Torment King said that only seven grams of explosives are needed to kill someone, but the West have used bombs weighing seven million grams in their raids, proving their hatred for the people. Their convictions make them believe that doing something crazy will bring them publicity. With publicity, will come attention, and with attention will come power. They are never in a hurry because it is not the number of terror attacks they successfully carry out that is important to them but the impact.

Being convinced that one act of massive terror can throw on their lap power far beyond their dreams and an attack of monumental impact does not come by chance but is a result of careful planning. The bigger the targets, the longer its realization. It may take them years but their conviction surpasses time, believing its not how long but how devastating.

Create fear and confusion, borrowing the saying, fear is the key that opens the wallet of the rich, and accept it to their situation, with a focus that they are not interested in money, but power. Their own definition reads, Fear is the key that opens the door for power. With this at the back of their minds they have no problems fanning the flames of fear, knowing that every mans greatest fear is death.

They create fear and confusion. Everywhere they go they leave a trail of blood and tears, sow destruction, and give those around them drips of pain and agony, without differentiating between the weak and the strong. Convincing themselves that where the casualties are women and children, the likelihood is for fear to take everybody prisoner.

The conviction of terror-minded people help them make the truth the first casualty, remembering that in terror war, there are no rules, no conventions, and no rights, it is said that everything is fair in war, but in this new war, everything is foul, breaking every rule of combat.

Having known for instance that their soldiers do not have with it takes, they decided a hijack an airmobile and crash it in an act of self-immolation. They believe that as the Lords soldiers you will not only inherit the earth, they will enjoy life everlasting in the other life and will have a place prepared for them in heaven.

It is an expression of hatred felt for humanity, mixed with the emotion accumulated over a long period of time, possibly received from the older generations as the doctrines governing their existence. This hatred felt for human torments their heart, and they seek for a way of relieving their hearts but find none, and diminish even in their outward looks. Wherever a terror-minded person finds himself and whatever activities he engages in, he always remember the doctrines, governing his existence and so he looks out for any opportunity that might come his way.

Then comes the one with knowledge, finance and a plan, which is an affront to mortality and disdain for the lives of tens of thousands of human beings, like themselves. A plan that will bring a reduction in world population and place extremists at an advantageous position to wage war against the world and slaughter humanity at large like cows on the butchers table.

Their essence of survival is to wage war on humanity, and sacrificing their lives gives highest reward. With little or no value attached to their lives, how will they care about the lives of others that they take without any atom of guilt? Somebody should please enlighten them on the value of life and try to make them see their doctrines in the light, and acknowledge the difference they see, with the truth. This conviction based on hatred to humanity must be stopped as soon as possible because it is cutting through the globe at large and if not completely tackled the world might suffer a great number of casualties. For the past years, terror attacks have been increasing drastically.
