16 Chapter 16 - Dugu Bo and Arrival

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well,

A man who has long poison green hair, wearing stylized black robes can be seen meditating just outside the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Though the man was sitting cross-legs normally, there was an aura he was giving off that was invisible to normal people. This man was none other than the famous Poison Douluo, Dugu Bo.

'The sound of fighting had finally stopped.' Dugu Bo thought as he opened his eyes while looking in a particular direction. He had been staying in this place for a while now, and though he was not afraid to look and see what was happening, he didn't really care about such a thing as it was a very normal event, especially inside this forest.

'Hmmp, just how bold this person can be.' Dugu Bo frowned as he felt the person who was fighting earlier continue to venture towards his direction as if he were aiming for this place. However, as he could not gauge the strength of the person, he would only take action upon knowing his/her identity and decide what to do after that. He admits that he was a cruel person, but he wasn't a reckless one. With that, he then just stood up and waited for the person to arrive.

On the other hand, Lev wearing a black cloak was running towards the direction where the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was located. During his short travel, he encountered some vicious spirit beast on the way, but as he promised Sia that he would not take time, he stopped playing tricks as he would end the fight right away. Looking at the distance, he could not help but stop in his tracks after seeing a person blocking his path.

"I've seen that you're brave enough to come in here. Who are you?" Dugu Bo said and asked while emitting his spiritual pressure towards Lev wanting to tell him that he's not a person easy to deal with, but he just gave off a little since he also had doubts after thinking how a Spirit Emperor like him would venture bravely alone in this forest unless he has ulterior motives or just an idiot.

"Junior meets the famous Poison Douluo. I'm Lev." Lev then greeted him while taking off his hood. Though he still doubts whether the person in front of him is the real deal, thinking that this place is already close enough and his words upon greeting, it was enough to draw the conclusion that he really is Dugu Bo, a genuine living Titled Douluo.

Seeing Lev's appearance, Dugu Bo's eyes widened from the shock upon seeing how young he was, but it was not enough to distract him as he did not stop his spiritual pressure since he had already seen several kinds of him in his life and the thought of a particular organization sent him immediately flashed in his mind since there was no other place that could groom a monster like the person in front of him aside from them.

"You said your name is Lev. What's your purpose for coming here, then? I doubt you got lost so you better choose your words carefully or you will regret coming to this place." Dugu Bo asked with a frown and a cold voice. It was his first time experiencing this kind of meeting since assassinations and wars were happening all over the place, it was just that he never experienced an assassination attempt for a long time until now and he felt humiliated thinking that they sent a Spirit Emperor this time.

"Something is telling me that there are treasures and medicinal herbs ahead. That's why I venture deeper despite knowing the risk. I just didn't know that this is great Poison Douluo's territory." Lev answered calmly and still remained respectful since, if possible, he didn't really want to fight right now. No matter how good Lev was acting, he could no longer fall for such tricks and had already decided to kill him off whether he was innocent or not.

Lev said with his body started shaking as Dugu Bo's spirit pressure really was unbearable to the current him. Though he wasn't afraid of fighting a Titled Douluo, Dugu Bo might be a person classified as not normal by the system and so he was putting heavy caution on dealing with his situation.

This time, Dugu Bo's eyes widened after being surprised to see Lev was still standing despite being directed by his spirit pressure. There was not even a glint of fear in his eyes that was normally to be seen in every person, however, such abnormality only escalates his reason to kill him thinking that he must really be of great status in the Spirit Hall and that letting him off would pose him and the empire great problems later on.

"Enough talking. You can complain in hell to the Spirit Hall that has sent you here when you die." Dugu Bo's eyes were bloodshot as he raised his hand. He was about to take action when suddenly he felt a powerful pressure coming from Lev instantly making him stop and back off a distance while releasing his utmost alertness as he looked at Lev dangerously.

"I never thought that I would use this skill this soon, but you leave me no choice." Lev looked at Dugu Bo's filled with killing intent. Looking closely, his two arms were completely different from before as it was replaced by nine-colored dragon scales. It was one of the abilities of his right and left arm Dragon God Soul Bone, 'Dragon God Claws'.

Description: A soul bone extracted from Dragon God, the initiator of all Spirit Beasts and the creator of the Divine Dragon Domain.

Description: A soul bone extracted from Dragon God, the initiator of all Spirit Beasts and the creator of the Divine Dragon Domain.

"Senior, I may be young but I'm not weak." Lev muttered. Having experienced life-and-death situations for five years, his experience and confidence were not for jokes. When it comes to living, there's no one that could beat him in this especially since he was not living for himself. There were people waiting for him back on Earth so he can't afford to die in this place.

Lev was already prepared to fight as he thought that Dugu Bo's mind was already set on killing him. He also felt like not convincing and tried to reason with him anymore as he was so adamant that he came from the Spirit Hall, however, as he was looking at him, he was completely dumbstruck upon seeing him kneeling on one knee while shaking.

"T-This young lord, please forgive this old man and beg to let this old man go. In return, you can do and take whatever you want inside." Dugu Bo shamelessly pleaded without even daring to look Lev in the eye. It's not like he was afraid of fighting him, it's just that he couldn't. After seeing the nine-colored dragon scales on his arms, his spirit was completely afraid leaving him helpless and powerless as his spirit started to submit.

Lev, who was looking at Dugu Bo, was completely dumbfounded by what was happening however, it wasn't long before he drew up a reasonable guess on the reason why he was acting like that. Recalling everything about Dugu Bo, he remembered that that his spirit was called Jade Phosphor Serpent, a kind of snake beast. Though he was doubtful, he felt like it had something to do with his spirit bone.

To test his theory, Lev walked closer to Dugu Bo and surprisingly, Dugu Bo didn't move an inch at his position. He looked at him kneeling in front of him before he reached out his hand on his head and grabbed it.

Meanwhile, Dugu Bo's face was already pale together with his body shaking from thinking that he was about to die soon. His mind completely erased all his previous presumptions of Lev and started thinking of what kind of person he really offended this time. Despite having lived in this world for a long time, he was still reluctant to leave as he still had someone that needed to look and take care of but no matter how strong his will was, his body really won't move.

"Stay here while I'll look for the things that I have come here for." Seeing Dugu Bo's complete submission, Lev then retracted his soul bone's ability and walked past him as he headed straight towards the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. He doesn't need to be wary anymore as actions really speak louder than words upon seeing Dugu Bo sigh in complete relief.

Entering inside, Lev then immediately saw a hot spring. The hot spring isn't large, it is however split into two parts. In the oval pool, the waters of the hot spring are separately colored milky white and vermilion. Even more bizarre, even though they were in the same pool they remained clearly separated, not encroaching on each other, and constantly keeping to their own sides.

'System, help me locate all the precious herbs in this place.' Lev immediately ordered while looking at how wonderful this place was as it was more dazzling and jaw-dropping to see it in person than watching it online.

With the help of the system, Lev has successfully done picking all the herbs he needs. Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng, Beautiful Silk Tulip, Aromatic Silk Beauty, Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, Daffodil Jade Flesh Bone, Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower, Eight Petal Immortal Orchid, Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, Infernal Delicate Apricot, Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, Yearning Heartbroken Red, etc. were the herbs that could be found in his inventory.

"Time to head back." Lev muttered as he basically plundered the place. Thinking about Sia, he felt like he already spent some quiet time in this place but before that, he needed to talk to Dugu Bo first and make things clear especially regarding his identity.

Upon settling everything, Lev arrived back at the place where he and Sia lived together seeing them now eating a delicious meal from the beast that he killed yesterday. Though everything should be normal, the atmosphere around them was completely different since it was not only the two of them present as Dugu Bo was also there sitting with them while eating like a hungry wolf.

Though Dugu Bo was eating without holding back, his mind was actually running wild upon swallowing all the information that he acquired from Lev. Fortunately, he was still alive, and he was very thankful for that. Though he still could not believe it, the submission of his spirit was enough for him not to doubt Lev however, this time around, his attention shifted to the girl with him. He thought, 'Just who is this girl to be able to live with the Young Lord?'

Lev, on the other hand, was also perplexed about what was happening. He actually wanted to head back peacefully after talking to Dugu Bo a while back, but he never thought that he would be shameless enough to sneak and follow him all the way making everything turn into this.

Not minding Dugu Bo's, Lev and Sia then just ignore him and mind their own business as they decided to enjoy their breakfast since they still need to travel after this. Right after that, Lev and Sia finally, after five years, step their feet outside the forest and head off towards their next destination.

It was already night, at Suotuo City's south gate entered a youth in a black cloak. Their attire didn't attract the attention of the people roaming around as it was quite common for people to wear cloaks around this place.

"After months of traveling, at last, I finally arrived. Looking at the things, I probably arrived much earlier." Lev said while looking at his surroundings. They could actually arrive much earlier but considering that they were not in a hurry, they took their time seeing the place and without knowing, they finally arrived at their destination.

Balak Kingdom is located in the south of Heaven Dou Empire, bordering Fasinuo Province. Speaking of this kingdom, its actual area was only four-thirds of Fasinuo Province, subordinate to the Heaven Dou Empire. Within the borders of Heaven Dou Empire, it was one of four great kingdoms. Balak's king Kundela was the current Heaven Dou Empire's king Aokula's younger cousin.

Southern Balak Kingdom bordered directly on Star Luo Empire, consequently, among Heaven Dou Empire's four kingdoms, Balak Kingdom's military strength was the most powerful, and it could also be said to be the gateway to Heaven Dou Empire.

They had been traveling for too long and so were excited to rest in a place where they were no longer required to be vigilant of the danger lurking in their surroundings.

Currently, just past noon, the blazing sun shining fiercely, at Suotuo City's west gate entered two youths. By looks, they both only appear to be ten-some years old, not carrying any luggage, one boy and one girl. These two were none other than, Tang San, the protagonist of this world, and Xiao Wu, the main heroine of the story.

Rose Hotel,

Inside a peaceful room in Rose Hotel, Lev woke up completely annoyed after being disturbed by some noises coming on the 1st floor. He looked envious at the unbothered Sia sleeping on the bed, but he could not blame her after recalling her pushing her limit again last night. Wanting to know what was happening, he just stood up, put on some clothes, and came out of his room.

Heading down, Lev stopped at the stairs as his eyes brightened from what he had seen. The smile on his face could not be hidden as he looked at the three people arguing. He muttered, 'My waiting had finally reached its end. It's finally the Shrek Academy Arc.'

Wanting to witness this meeting, Lev then finds a place to observe them without getting caught. The meeting of Tang San, Xiao Wu, and lastly Dai Mubai was something he wanted to see since this is the start where their friendship is born.

After arguing for a while, the two parties did not come to a conclusion and started to fight. Tang San and Dai Mubai already did a couple of bouts but that was when Dai Mubai used his White Tiger Body Enhancement. Despite that, the fight continued, and both used their spirit ring abilities while exchanging blows.

Not long after, Tang San started gaining the upper hand, but it was countered again by Dai Mubai by activating his third spirit ring ability, and yet the fight still goes on since upon seeing and understanding Dai Mubai's third spirit ring ability, Xiao Wu who was together with Tang San, activated her body enhancement ability preparing to help the latter.

Meanwhile, as the three were focused on fighting, Lev was smiling mysteriously the longer they were at it after hearing several system notifications inside his head. Though it wasn't his first time learning skill from other spirit masters, the skills he was learning this time was just different as they were the skills that belonged to the main characters of this world.

Following that, Da Mubai then beckoned to the pair of twin young women beside him, taking the lead to leave the hotel leaving everyone in a trance thinking that the show ended just like that.

On the other hand, Xiao Wu couldn't help but say at the figure of Dai Mubai's back, "How did you know that we are going to Shrek Academy?"

Dai Mubai stopped walking, and coldly said, "You are only about twelve years old, at this age, possessing more than twentieth ranked spirit power, at this time, if not coming here to sign up at Shrek Academy, then what are you even here for? "It's nothing. It must be my imagination." Tang San woke up after hearing Xiao Wu's voice. Though he was not sure, he felt like a surprise was waiting for him during his stay in this city. Following that, the two then talk to the manager and finally get the room for themselves.
