Release the Beast

Sakumo's Chakra saber. Easily the sharpest blade I've ever had the privilege to hold. Shame I only held it for a few minutes. Well technically I could hold it whenever I want, as it is in my study inside a display case. But that wouldn't be right.

There's only one person who has the right to weld that blade.

Kakashi. Who just happens to be in my study right now. Standing right in front of the case.

Come Kakashi do it. Claim your birthright.

I've been waiting outside my study for about 15 minutes now, not wanting to interrupt Kakashi as he tries to work up the nerve to take the sword. Kakashi's back on active duty after all this time so hopefully he finally takes the sword.

Oh! He's moving.

The door to my study swung open to reveal Kakashi, without the Chakra saber.

He seemed surprised to see me. Guess he was so engrossed in his task he didn't even notice me. We stared at each other for a moment before I stood aside giving Kakashi room to walk past.

Nothing was spoken between us.

Entering my study I approach the case. The lack was undone but it seems he never even opened it. Just stood here for 15 minutes staring at his father's sword.

Oh well I'm sure he'll at the very least open the case next time.

"I remember you."

In front of me was a larg- actually medium snake would very more accurate. These snakes can get a lot bigger than originally I thought. In front of me was one of snake-sensei buds that he brought along to train me. The one that never spoke and always managed to take my sword away from me.

"You got a name?"

The snake didn't respond.

"Cool. Can I call you Gray? you know because you're gray."

The snake nodded in response.

"Are you a unique case? Are there other snakes who are at the very least tolerable?"

Gray shook his head.

"So most are like her?" I ask, looking over at his much smaller green counterpart who was eating all the eggs I just bought.

Gray and I both shared a look before leaving the house. Scared the hell out of some random civilian who wasn't ready for a snake to slither out after me.

Carefully applying the anchor half of my newest seal i feed some Chakra into. Fuinjutsu marks expand from the tag onto the tree holding the seal in place. Pulling out the… hook? Mark? I can't think of a simple word I can use to describe the other half of the seal that goes on the target.

As I was saying I placed the anchors counterpart on the target, which was Guy. Giving him a thumbs up he takes off in a straight line. As Guy got about 5ish meters away a Chakra string stopped him in his tracks.

"Alright Guy really give it your all!" I yell.

And now to activate the other function of the anchor.

Guy dug his feet in as the distance between him and the anchor started to diminish as he was pulled in.

So far so good.

The anchor is holding.

The… other half is holding.

Guy is… actually holding his own.

Guy began to yell as he managed to take a step forward, and then another, until finally the anchor was ripped off the tree freeing.

God damn.

Walking over to the anchor I picked it up along with the part of the tree it managed to take with it. Deactivating the seal the peace of wood fell off.

Guy was no longer present. He keep going even through he was no longer restrained, with the other half of my seal.

Well seems I'll need to strengthen the pull. Then I can tackle was is going to be the most difficult.

Actually being able to deploy the seal quickly.

Right now it takes about 5 minutes for me to set out the entire thing. Gonna need to shave that down by about… 5 minutes for this to actually be useful in combat.

Most of the set up time is for the anchor as it is the most complex. The anchor is also the only part I have to already have built as it is to complicated for me to make on the fly. With the-

Hitch?

That sounds right but dosen't feel right.

With the hitch I can do what Minato dose and just mark my target by making contact. Right now I can create it in about 20 seconds. all i need to do now is shave that down by about… 20 seconds.

I can see it now. All I have to do is slap an anchor onto something and mark my opponent then boom they are restrained.

The best part. Thats just one application. The main reason i created this was just to have a tool i can use in a variety of situations. Now that i think about it I could create much simpler versions of the anchor if needed should I run out of anchor tags. It wouldn't be able to retract like the tag but would still tie something down.

With so sign of Guy I begin to follow his Chakra intending to remove my seal before he ran into Minato or someone else with understanding of Fuinjutsu
