18 The Kiss And The Pain

"This is how I'm going to live my life. I am jealous of anyone who gets near you without letting you know. I Love you and you are not mine. I am worried about you and you don't know."

As usual, the first thing that Blade does every morning is to let his feelings free and write them in his diary because as he said before.

A written hope is better than a pent-up pain.

"So! you are saying that you gave your crush a ride to his pack's borders yesterday?" That was Brandon who was driving Blade to his school.

The younger brother smiled shyly and nodded saying "He even said that my eyes are beautiful. And we talked a lot. I gave him a hint but I think he did not understand the hidden meaning behind it."

Brandon just hummed and continued driving. I mean he is happy because his brother is happy don't get him wrong! He is just worried because the way Blade loves Ian is going to lead him to some kind of obsession.

"You go inside and I will have a run in the woods also I will come to take you home." Said Brandon while parking the car in the school's parking lot.

The younger true blood just nodded and headed inside the school.

While Brandon went to the woods that were in front of the school and immediately shifted to his wolf form and started running deep inside this forest.

He needed to freshen up his body also he needed to think of many things and needed some time alone.

After some long hours that Brandon spent running inside the woods, he finally decided to get back to the high school's parking lot so that he can wait for his little brother to finish his classes.

But suddenly, he smelled his fated mate's scent. He raised his gaze looking at Alex who was walking with Ian and he was crying.

The true blood furrowed his eyebrows and followed them inside the school.

Alex and Ian went into an empty classroom where the alpha was standing in front of the sobbing omega as he said " Alex please just try to understand my point. You have your mate now. We can't be together anymore."

Alexander just started sobbing even more saying " No please I don't want him or anyone other than you."

Can you hear that?

That's the sound of Brandon's heart, breaking for the millionth time because of his fated mate.

He just stood up there watching Ian who said "No, no Alex. We can't do this. Please just sto..." He could not finish his sentence.

Somewhere inside the same school, Blade was sitting inside the library writing on his diary.

"If you love me for just one day, I will love you for centuries. If your love is the justice then my heart is the law. And if your heart is the judge then my heart is the prisoner."

He closed his diary and headed out of the library. He was going to go to their car but he caught a glimpse of his brother standing in front of one of the classrooms in this school.

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion because why would his brother be in his school?

He immediately went towards him and before he could even speak he caught the smell of Ian's scent. But it was too strong.

If a werewolf's scent gets this strong there are three possibilities.

The first one is that the wolf is angry and fighting somebody.

The second one is that he is in his rut.

And the worst possibility is that he is having sex with somebody.

The rut or we can also call it a mating season happens to alphas and true bloods. And it is an increase in testosterone, exaggerated sexual dimorphism. During the period of the rut, aggression, and interest in omegas increase. But for the mated wolves, get more attracted to their mates.

There is also something similar to the rut which is called the heat and this is for the omegas only. And it is a period during the reproductive cycle when the omega [both female and male] become sexually receptive, signalling that they are ready for mating. And by mating, I mean having sex.

All these possibilities that each one of them was worse than the other for Blade.

But it turns out that none of them was right because what he found was Ian who was wrapping his arms around his so-called ex-boyfriend's waist as they both were kissing each other.

Well, did you hear it this time?

Yes, you're right it's the sound of breaking another heart in the same place where the first heart broke earlier.

Blade felt the tears running down his cheeks as he closed his eyes trying to deny what he saw.

He just tried so hard to make his memory forget how the hands which he has always dreamed of holding were now wrapped around someone else's waist.

The lips that he always had dreamed of kissing were now kissing someone else's lips.

He opened his eyes and looked at his brother who was looking at them as if he was just a dead body without a soul.

"What's wrong Brandon?" Asked Blade when he noticed how broken his brother looked.

He did not know the reason why his brother was standing in front of him as if his soul has left his body until Brandon whispered what shocked him "Alex is my fated mate who rejected me."

"It's okay Brandon everything will be fine." That is what Blade said to his older brother.

Ah! How strong Blade's heart is. Even though he's in pain, and his heart is breaking he still tried to comfort his brother.

"I'm not okay at all. Something is choking me and stopping me from breathing inside my chest. Tears in the edge of my eyes. Even my heart I swear It hurts... But in silence." Said Blade to himself... in silence while comforting his broken brother.
