Chapter 2 - Faith

Faith had always been a good at her routines. She liked to keep her days organized and productive, and today was no exception. She had completed all her chores and even went grocery shopping. As the sun began to set, she cooked herself a nice dinner and settled onto the couch to watch a new TV show.

But as she got three episodes in, something caught her attention. She heard a noise and immediately cut off the TV, trying to listen carefully. She waited in silence for a minute, thinking it was nothing. But as she got up to let the dogs out, she knew something was wrong. The dogs started barking, and she called them inside, locking the door behind her.

As she made herself a cup of tea, she heard one of her flower pots fall. Her heart raced as she tried to rationalize it as just an animal. But the dogs were panicking, and she knew something was off. She reached for her phone and tried to call her husband Logan, but there was no answer.

Terrified, she tried to convince herself that it was all in her head. She knew her husband would be home in the morning, so she got the dogs fed and settled in their beds. As she was getting ready for bed, she saw her cat and picked it up, taking it with her to the bedroom. She knew the cat wouldn't offer much protection, but the comfort it provided was enough to help her fall asleep. So she snuggled in the bed with the cat. She never would of guessed that someone was watching her every move.
