Unexpected Event

This story will always remain in the heroine's point of view if we don't take last minute changes into account .

It has now been a week since I started working here, and, I have to say that I'm really in good terms with my workers.

Sasha, one of them and probably my favorite, has invited me to a café to get to know each other more since it's the weekend.

- Hana, it's time for us to leave!

I saw her from my seat and looked at the time : 7,04 pm.

- Coming right away!

I made sure to save my excel file and got up taking my coat with me.

We were heading out of the building and she started talking about the novel.

- So, how was "Roses and Champagne" ?

- I did think it was going to be really bad seeing its title, but it's well written and... I liked it.

- I told you you would!!

Well, I did, even thought it was quite pitiful. The story was that of a prince who fell in-love at first sight with a the illegitimate daughter of a duke. And since it is meant to be stereotypical, there is of course a villainess...

It may seem like a really boring story, but as I said it's well written.

- Here, we arrived.

The cafe was quite small and seemed really cute. I heard some music and turned my head. Some girls were making a TikTok. They look cute too.

Sasha and I sat in a table and ordered drinks, for her it was a keto pumpkin spice latte and for me a white chocolate mocha.

We sat there for about an hour before going our own ways.

I was scrolling through TikTok and didn't notice the green light, some people shouted but I didn't know why...

Oh. I was hit.

I felt slight pain in my head and brutally opened eyes. The ceiling looked way to much extravagant to be a hospital room one.

Way to scared of this thought, I get up and try to check my surroundings.

Is this a nightmare? Why the heck am I in some fancy room?!

Now that I think about it, how can my hair feel heavy when I'm supposed to have short hair?

I immediately got up and went looking for a mirror.

- ...

Two minutes of silence for my own death since I think I'm imagining things...

How can my face change completely? I start touching my face when I hear someone talking behind me.

- She has gone mad.

Excuse me ? Who the fuck are you talking to?

I acted as if I didn't hear whoever this person was and continued admiring this face. My face may have gone away but this one is actually really pretty!

Is it this cliché scene where a person from the modern world reincarnates in the last novel she read and somehow ends up as the villainess?

The last novel I read... It must be "Roses and Champagne"!!

I do look exactly like the villainess, God bless this beauty. It's a shame she's only chasing people out of reach and she's like, out of her mind, even a toddler is smarter than her...

- How dare you ignore your step-mother you stupid wrench, apologize!

- And here I thought nobles were supposed to have manners...

I turn my face and saw a guy with a mustache and some awful clothes. Next to him was an ugly women with red hair styled very badly, wearing a very painful looking corset.

- You barged into my room without knocking, started shouting while I'm sick, have the guts to give me an order regarding that ugly looking doll next to you and didn't even respect my privacy while I'm still not dressed properly. Do you call this having manners ? If so, as your daughter, I should follow the steps of my father.

I walk confidently towards them and push the to the exit. The step-mom being dramatic, she obviously fell and the father followed her asking her if she was ok. He makes eye-contact with me before I glare at him and slam the door.

- That was so stressful.

Imagine if I had stuttered? That would be so embarassing!

I sighed with relief and looked around the room.

I was very well organized and was extremely pretty. It seems like the place every little girl would like to throw a pyjama party in.

I quickly looked around before thinking seriously about the situation I'm in.

One thing is for sure : All I have to do for now is to make my relationships with this family better.

I know for a fact that Agatha has always bullied her little sis, so I'll make sure not to do that and also to make my image a little more pleasant for my brothers, since all she has been doing for this family is causing trouble.
