Chapter iv

Hermiadies followed for the month of travel in utter shock. While he traveled often and foot was a popular method being a child of a god allowed him certain luxuries. The teacher he chose to follow also chose a pampered life yet in front of this 'titan' he would simply point, answer questions and follow.

When he first suggested traveling by horse or carriage Tovuo laughed. "Is a pilgrimage not by foot?"

His teacher said of course, made a note of it on some paper, looked up and said "that way is the land of my teacher I would like to take you there."

For months on end they walked stopping often and ascending the mountain in an inopportune manner. Hermiadies often voiced his concern about this but was just as often ignored.

Finally, as the snow was first falling they came upon a large arch.

"Teacher, where is this?" Hermiadies asked looking the arch up and down.

"this is a place where immortals cultivate. A place where your status will not be the same but the benefits you can reap will be greatly increased." Alexander commented walking forward.

Tovuo looked on, but staggered his steps. Juno stopped and looked over at him. "Are you ok Tovuo?" She asked.

"Fine but I won't go into this county." As Tovuo turned around and began to walk away.

Like a dog Alexander turned and followed behind him, "sorry master I was foolish to have returned home."

"No, we will come here one day but that will not be today." Tovuo said apologetically. While the boy still was no older than ten he stood taller than most adults. Although Alexander himself towered over the younger immortals he kowtowed to Tovuo.

"Enough!" Hermiadies yelled "the chance to enter the sacred land is too great to pass by."

Alexander turned to Hermiadies pulled out a slice of gold with a crest and red ribbon. He placed it into Hermiadies hands.

"When you arrive at any city take this out and place it in front of you. Meditate for a short while the humans will provide you with what you need and soon another god will find you. He will take you to the school and their you can continue your cultivation. Tell them I have found a Titian and I will take him as my new master."

Hermiadies held the token in his hand and stood blankly. Before he could think to speak before he had even looked up the group was long out of sight.

A sad look arose on his face he turned and walked through the arch never looking back.
