4 New Beginning (3)

Getting up from the oddly comfy couch I made it to the table.

"Green tea?" He asked as he poured green tea into the cup "Uh sure,"

Giving me the cup I took a sip causing my face to scrunch up.

'Can't do bitter'

"Uh, it's um good," I said while trying to smile

He then started to laugh "Haha don't need to lie to me, kid. I hate bitter things too,"

Waving his hand the tea then turned into milk and when I took a sip a sweet flavour entered my mouth "Ah that's good," but I frowned

"Are you Jesus?"

"Pft course not, this," he then gestured to himself "is a remnant of my soul,"

I nodded "Sooo,"

"I don't really think I need to introduce myself though but I'm gonna do it anyway, Nice to meet you my name is Casimir Medici,"

"Yeah one of the seven heroes," I then looked around "Um where exactly am I?"

"My retirement place,"

"I see," I nodded "So did I pass a test or something?"

Suddenly he got up with a smile "Follow me,"

Getting up from my chair we both exited the small cottage and walked around the forest that was when he started to speak.

"When I was a kid my father and I would go hiking. In nature, I felt at peace and calm. However, my grandfather was a hardass for swordsmanship or kendo. I didn't really want to do it but I was forced to. One day I told him I wanted to quit and when I told him that he beat the ever-loving shit out of me," he said chuckling

"But then the world went to shit. There I lost almost everything. My friends, my family, my pet but the one thing I didn't lose was the woman I loved," I watched his hands as they touched the ring on his finger.

"If it wasn't for her I'd probably would've gone insane," a smile formed on his face "She was also the one that told me to help people,"

But then his face grew dark "Then they came,"

I already knew who he was referring to, "The demons," I said

He clenched his fists "Those things took the one reason I had to live that's when I vowed to kill them all and destroy the abyss,"

We then made it in front of a giant boulder which was eerily similar to the one I was hitting.

"However, I wasn't immortal and honestly the rest of humanity was trash in my eyes," but then a wry smile appeared on his face "But I took in a disciple,"

"Wait I thought you didn't take any disciples?"

I already knew that he did but that disciple of his didn't have the technique

"I hoped he'd bring good in the world and he did. I was proud of him of course then I died," He shrugged

Suddenly a sword appeared in his hand "The test for my technique is simple,"

Raising his sword he slammed it on the boulder.

-Tang!

Sparks flew in the air as the 2 objects collided.

"All the person had to do was hit the bolder 100,000 times and you did it 500,000 which by the way super impressive,"

Then a smile on his face "The boulder was supposed to be indestructible but you…"

*Crack*

*Bam*

*Bam*

Suddenly a large crack appeared in the boulder before it split in 2 "You broke it which was quite unexpected,"

Pointing his sword at me I remembered Casimir Medici's personality very well.

After all I was the one who made him. He was someone who admired perseverance and dedication but what he also admired was people with wit.

Suddenly the bolder reformed and lightning crackled around Casimir. His skin started to become pale blue while his black hair turned a pure white as if the blue lightning was infusing with him.

Suddenly he disappeared and when I turned I saw the boulder smashed into a million pieces.

*BOOM*

Suddenly a giant shockwave pushed me back a little.

"Even if I created this technique it's nothing special. The ability to focus your attack at a single point and then hit your opponent at tremendous speed is something any competent swordsman could do. In other words, there is no way I could bring out the true potential this technique of mine has. But you on the other hand…" he pointed his sword at me again "I have no doubt that you could do it,"

I made a surprised face

"So what do you say kid, wanna use this useless technique of mine?"

A smile formed on my face "gladly,"

When I opened my eyes again I was back in the forest and I quickly opened my status screen.

"Sweet," getting up I started to walk back. Thankfully I had already marked the locations so I wouldn't get lost. After following the markers I made it back to the city and the first thing I did was go to a tech shop. The reason was simple my phone was busted.

However, they were able to fix it in record time.

I realized that there were a few missed calls from the director. Calling her back we then started to talk.

I had spent a total of 4 days in the forest even though it felt like 30 seconds. After reassuring her I took the next train back to the orphanage.

As I was on the train I thought about who Arthur Irwin was.

He arrived at the orphanage at the age of 14. He didn't really talk to anyone and kept to himself. However, he did help the other little kids by showing them how to do their homework or fix their toys.

But there was a problem. That problem was that he didn't attend a middle or military school. Usually by the age of 6 children are sent to military schools to train in combat. Yet I didn't even attend middle school.

'Maybe I should contact him?'

But when I thought that another problem had come to light.

Money.

Thankfully I had a solution which was stocks. I already knew which guilds would blow up in the next few days and which companies would have their stock increase rapidly. I didn't know if the money would be enough for my enrollment fee but if not then I would have to use plan B which was undesirable even with the immense benefits.

When I made it back to the orphanage I greeted the director who welcomed me back. From what I knew she was a businesswoman who wanted to help orphans.

Although I didn't remember her from the novel.

After I put everything under my bed I brought out the laptop I bought.

"Let's start investing,"
