32 Grand Opening

"Hey come on, it's not that bad right." Alice said trying to boost morale, however when she spoke it didn't sound convincing at all. Even she knew their guild name was kind of mediocre.

The other six looked at her, distraught expressions covering their faces, Feng Yutu exclaimed, "Even The Horned Owls is better than the name we decided on."

"Owls, owls, owls might as well call this guild fucking Hedwig," Samael muttered, "How the fuck did I think of such a trash name, like it might not be horrible but compared to others it really is."

"Who's Hedwig?" Alice asked.

"No one, it's just a random name I thought." Samael quickly said.

'Oh yeah they don't have Harry Potter, I may have to tone it down with the references.' he thought.

(Alright guys, I though about it and The Void's Owl is fine, if you have any suggestions you can still leave then in the comments because there may be something better out there. If I do like your suggestion I will update this chapter so that they change the guild name. I will also credit you, as a way of saying thank you for the suggestion lol.)

Thorus sighed, "You know what, who gives a toss, as long as we become the strongest no one will dare to disrespect it."

The guild members thought about and decided Thorus was right, their name wasn't even that bad, they'll survive.

Alice clapped, "Well now we are all in good spirits lets plan our grand opening, The Void's Owl is finally spreading its wings."

"We can invite some talented people and all the others who have already decided to join us, this will be a way to increase our exposure and recruit more members. Obviously Sami over here will be cooking tonight."

"Let's get started." she clapped again, "Oh and Omaira your obviously invited, I know you won't join our guild but you did help build it. The Grand Opening will probably be in a week so keep your calendar cleared."

"Of course, I'll come." she said, as she flapped her wings, to fly away.

After she left, Xiao Ying stepped forward, "Alright it's time to delegate the jobs, Feng Yutu will hand out flyers and invitations, her speed will allow her to cover more ground. Furthermore we have a whole week, we are trying to let everybody know our guild is ready for recruitment."

"Samael as mentioned before is making the food, he could prep today if he wanted to, he could also help others as he's not gonna be cooking for a whole week is he."

"Thorus can start making the emblems and the owl Automatons. He can connect it to Athena's heart allowing us to communicate. Furthermore us seven need more advanced ones as we are the executive members of the guild."

"Alice will obviously need to prepare some sort of speech, after all she is the leader."

"And I will just make sure everything is going smoothly, I can also set up decorations."

"Ahem, ahem." Acala loudly coughed.

"Oh yeah Acala, I won't lie to you, I don't know what you can do, maybe you can stand there and just look pretty." Xiao Ying said.

"Hey, I can do a lot of things."

"Like what?" Xiao Ying asked.

The others also looked intrigued because Acala just seemed like your average monk, he may be a genius but he has not shown any other talents so they were genuinely curious to what would happen next.

"I can actually sing."

Acala let his voice out, the passion and emotion in his voice echoed throughout the room it was interesting to say the least very interesting. However no matter how interesting Acala's singing was definitely not going to appear again.

1 week later, 20:00 (8pm)

The autumn night was in full bloom, the Leo constellation was shining fiercely in the dark sky. (Before any of you comment, constellations work differently in Verus, each day a new constellation will appear in the sky and it's obviously on a 12 day cycle, today is Leo.)

As people looked up at it, it was as if you could see the flaming lion roaring in the sky, proudly roaming its domain in the stars. The flaming mane swayed in the cosmic winds and the fiery orange orbs it had for eyes looked down towards the world, the warmth radiating from them felt wild but also protective.

A set of misty blind eyes looked away from the sky as she walked to The Void's Owl guild house, it was Rosa the 25th Ranked in the Heaven Tier Combat class. She was wearing a dazzling navy dress her long hair was braided and fell to her waist. Her tan coloured skin looked radiantly in the moonlight, she looked mysterious, she looked peculiar, she looked beautiful.

At another location a small figure was teleporting in the quiet forest, also moving towards The Void's Owl. He was wearing an ice blue waistcoat on top of a black shirt and his pitch black hair was flailing in the wind as he moved at rapid speeds.

Dozens of people were all moving towards the guild house, in this week he has become one of the biggest things talked about by the freshman, due to how stacked up The Void's Owl guild is already, they have the Rank 1 healer and forger. They also have the Rank 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 25th combatant, this guild has already begun to shape up as one of the strongest this year and many people want to check it out.

Inside the guild house was Samael, he was currently doing the finishing touches on the cake he made for the ceremony. He had been cooking all do creating dishes like Nether Cow braised beef or golden sun tuna sushi, its been a long and gruelling day. The cake he made was an orange and dark chocolate cake, he used black icing to decorate and made a white fondant owl to go on top. The cake was 5 layers tall and the bottom layer had a diameter of 100cm (3 feet 3 inches).

Samael added a little bit of edible paint to the eye of the owl and stepped back to gaze upon his creation. It looked amazing.

Sami quickly went to one of the guest rooms to get changed, he quickly showered (You can use aura water to clean yourself but a shower also has shit like soap lol.)

Once he had cleaned up and put on his clothes he went towards the main hall. He was wearing a black suit with a dark purple shirt. He had amethyst cufflinks and wasn't wearing a tie/bowtie. He had on ink black suede shoes. His long hair as usual was freely flowing down his back.

As Sami arrived he saw the others, Xiao Ying was wearing a beautiful white dress with cherry blossoms painted all over it. Her toned legs flashed underneath the dress. and on her feet were cherry blossom coloured high heels. Her beautiful hair the same colour as her shoes was tied up into a bun above her head.

Awa was next to Xiao Ying, she was wearing a beautiful white top with an emerald green plated skirt. On her feet where white boots that sparkled under the guild lights. She was wearing her signature emerald and white earrings and her long dreads were still in gold thread which matched her eyes.

Feng Yutu was wearing a jade green cheongsam, with a Chinese inscription in black on it saying ' Jump to the moon, little rabbit.' She wore black flats and her hair was in a ponytail. Next to her was Acala in a Black Hanfu with red lining that complemented his crimson eyes.

Thorus was wearing a dark silver suit that fitted closely with his slender physique. His fiery ginger hair looked beautiful.

Soft footsteps were soon heard as someone came down from upstairs, the first thing seen were pitch black stiletto heals, as more of the person was revealed you could see the black as night dress that swayed as she walked. Travelling up more, you could see the icy blue waves in the dress. Alice had completely walked out revealing her radiant beauty, she looked amazing.

"Well let's get this party started." she said jokingly as she looked at everyone.

Info of the day - Angels and Devils

There are two realms other than VERUS named, The Sanctus realm which host purebred angels and gods and The Malum realm which host the purebred devils and 'evil' gods

These two realms are not necessarily at war but there are extremist in each realm that wish to eradicate the other namely the Iustita Sanctuary in the Sanctus realm and the Diabolus covenant in the Malum realm.

The Iustita Sanctuary has a warped sense of justice and truly believe they are good people however they are arrogant and bring 'justice' to anyone they deem bad.

The Diabolus Covenant want to cause chaos and destruction they want to live in a world of survival of the fittest.

Both of these organisations are hated by their own realms however have not been eradicated due to the delicate balance between the realms and the strength of the organisation leaders.

Angels

Angels are a gentle race and always try to help others however there are still extremist as mentioned before.

Angels have a huge lifespan of 5000yrs as a mortal but abysmally low reproductive abilities meaning there population is smaller than others.

They do not have any specialities per say however they are self sufficient and keep to themselves most of the time.

Angels can actually use every common element with fire light and lightning being more common.

Angels live on a huge island around half of the size of demon continent.

Devils are basically Daemons just stronger/more pure bloodlines.

Some angels live in Verus but most in the Sanctus Realm.
