Death Empress

Sami was sprinting down the hallways, trying to find his best friend, he was disappointed in himself. There were so many things he could have done but he just stood there shocked.

He loathed his weakness, this incident has re-affirmed his desire to become stronger, he must never let Alice feel such sadness again.

Sami spotted Alice next to the fountain, her tears mixing into the water, her whimpers were filled with anguish, this sorrowful symphony broke his heart.

It was too much, those nobles did too MUCH! Sami's small fist began to ball, his eyebrows furrowed and an eerie aura began to spread from his body, it was purple and navy which corresponded to the devil element and the curse element.

"I must make them feel pain, I must make them pay!" Samael's dark thoughts were interrupted by the deathly grey aura radiating from Alice's body.

Samael quickly approached her, Alice's hair began to turn black and her skin pale, she became a spitting image of her mother the only difference was that Alice's eyes are blue. Athena's heart, as if sensing its owners situation, turned into aegis cloaking the aura from Alice's body.

Sami's mind began to turn, "Alice must be awakening her bloodline as her physique already awakened, but this doesn't look like the Golden Sun bloodline, the bloodline of the royal family, what the hell is this."

The ash grey aura began to converge making Alice look like a Death Empress.

Samael finally understood, Elizabeth's (Alice's Mother) bloodline had something to do with the death element and Alice awakened that instead of the Golden Sun bloodline. However how could a commoner family have such a powerful bloodline and why did no one awaken before it.

*Ding* a light bulb went off in his head, the commoners never had enough resources to activate such a powerful bloodline so they never truly awakened it but they all had the features of the bloodline which were black hair and pale skin.

Even then Elizabeth should not be so weak, so sickly, there are two options here either she was made sick/poisoned by someone else or she has a physique that contradicts her bloodline. Even though some people can handle a conflicting bloodline and physique, if you don't cultivate this conflict becomes worse and worse until you die.

Sami, believes its the second option as Elizabeth has always been sick, even when she was a child.

The aura from Alice increased in strength once again interrupting his thoughts. The grey aura had finished converging, concentrating in her heart, as her blood pumped the grey aura circulated in her body, fusing with her.

As the aura was all gone, Sami could see Alice after her awakening, her originally all blonde hair had streaks of black flowing through it. Her pinkish skin has become much paler, her bright blue eyes have become an icy blue, her eyes looked emotionless. This transformation gave her a much colder aura very different from her mother's kind death.

"Let's go." Alice's voice was devoid of emotion, sounding robotic and monotone.

"Alice" Sami pulled her in for a hug, "I know you are hurting and I know you are trying to hide your emotions, but always remember I'm here for, just remember I'm your best friend"

Alice broke down, after everything she experienced today she broke down, her small face was covered in tears, she looked grief stricken after all no five year old girl should be told her mother will die.

As if sensing her thoughts Sami told her his hypothesis and how to save her mom.

Once hearing this Alice smiled, her smile was beautiful it was like the dawn after the night, warm and serene. "Thank you, Sami, seriously Thank you."

"Now tell me about your bloodline." (Sami awoke his bloodline at birth, most people do.)

10 minutes later...….

Alice's bloodline is called the Death Empress Bloodline, it gives the owner a 300% affinity in the death element but a - 300% affinity in the Life element.

Affinities affect how well you can use an element.

Most people have an affinity between 0 - 100% having one elemental affinity at 100% is the baseline of being a genius. The strongest geniuses can have an affinity above 100%, this most of the time is due to their bloodline or physique.

You can also have a minus affinity which makes it increasingly difficult to use the element in question, once again this is due to bloodline or physique.

Sami has a 100 % affinity in every element and 300% in the Aether element.

This may seem weak but fusion can boost his strength greatly. (I'll explain fusion next chapter, or you can just read chapter 0)

Elizabeth's Garden.

Alice's Mom was still looking after her flowers, as beautiful as ever.

"Auntie, we found a way to help you, you just need to tell us your physique."
